She looked at him for a moment. Then she returned her attention to the path ahead without comment.

They reached the middle zone boundary in forty minutes. Zhao Yuexin touched the territorial marker at the boundary line and the pressure that the marker generated, the subtle discouraging field it emitted toward unauthorized entrants, receded.

Lin Yi stepped through.

The middle zone’s character was different from the outer zone’s in the same way the Allheaven Expanse’s upper atmospheric layer had been different from the mid-tier zones. Not just stronger monsters.
