Phew~

Just like that, another day had passed and the night had come. But for some reason, I was feeling more disturbed than when I learned about the death timer.

Because... I was gonna be discharged TOMORROW!

Just an hour ago, the nurse had checked all the charts and examined me, then she told me that I was completely healed because of the magic Elena had used on me.

After that, she mentioned that a doctor will come tomorrow to check on me and if everything looked good, then he will discharge me.

’No, I can’t get discharged tomorrow.’

Viora must have heard it too and I don’t want to leave her alone here. Not because of the system, but because of the unknown emotions I had for her right now.

’Whatever happens, I won’t leave her.’

And since it had come to this, there was only one way for me and her to not be separated, and that was what the system had suggested.

After making up my mind, I sat up on the bed. On the other bed, Viora had her eyes closed but I wasn’t sure if she was sleeping or not. So, just to be certain, I called out to her.

"Viora, are you sleeping?"

Upon hearing my voice, she slowly opened her eyes and responded with a simple, "Nu..."

Okay, so she is awake. I should propose to her right away and get her response now. As for the ring, I will get it later.

"Amm... Do you..." I began but then stopped cause I didn’t know what I should say next.

How was I even supposed to ask this?

Will you marry me?

Do you like me?

No matter how differently I tried to put my feelings into words, it felt kind of strange coming from a guy you just met two days ago.

She will probably be frightened by my proposal if she doesn’t have the same feelings as I do, and by any chance if she rejects me, she might feel anxious being close to me.

However, if I don’t say it, I won’t be able to make sure if she also likes me or not and walk out of the door with ease.

"Wu... Jin... Wut... Say...?" 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

After I wasn’t able to complete my half sentence, she spoke up. "Wut... Iz... Dat... U... Wynt... Fam... Me..."

Viora was eagerly waiting for me to speak up and tell her what I wanted to say.

"Okay, I will tell you what I want."

"Ye... I... M... Harin..."

"Look, Viora, I have thought about it for a long time. I don’t know if you will be offended by my request or not, but I gotta say it anyway."

I took a deep breath and prepared myself for saying the words which, in my whole life, I hadn’t said to anyone.

"Will... Will you... Let me explain the moon to you."

Wait, wait. What did I just blurt out? Moon? Seriously? Why couldn’t I just say what I wanted to say?

"Dat... Iz... It...?" I noticed Viora’s attentive expression change into one of disappointment. "No... I... won’t..." she said and turned away from me with a pout on her face.

Why is she pouting all of a sudden? It’s not like I actually proposed to her. I only said that I wanted to tell her how the moon looked, and yet, she is getting upset.

Suddenly, my eyes widened and I realized something really, really big. Is she getting disappointed because she wanted me to propose to her or something like that?

"Viora," I called her again and this time I was actually going to say that I like her, but now she didn’t spare me a single second.

"Itz... Lete... So... Gu... Slap..."

She must have thought I was just gonna say something stupid again, so she just told me to sleep.

’Okay, I should wait for her to be less upset and propose in the morning.’

I thought and let my head fall onto the pillow. ’Let’s hope the morning comes as fast as possible.’

I was just gonna sleep, but whenever I closed my eyes, Viora’s image appeared in my mind, sometimes happy with joy, and sometimes angry and slapping me weakly.

’I don’t know what reaction I will get, but I wasn’t gonna back down tomorrow. Whatever happens, I was gonna say it.’

That... was just some wishful thinking because what happened right now wasn’t something I could have ever expected.

"D...am... It..." I heard Viora’s voice once again and turned to see what was happening to her. "He... Wu... Jin..."

"Yeah?" I was a little confused as to why she had called me. ’Is she gonna tell me to explain the moon?’

"If... U... Not... Say..." She began in her same usual broken tone. "Then... I... Will..."

I listened to her every whispered word with all the attention I had. Whatever the request is, I will do it for you.

"I... Think... I... Like... U..."

What?!!!

It felt like my heart had really skipped a beat and for a moment I forgot how to breathe.
