Yandere Monster Evolution: My Blind Wife Will Become a Demonic Queen
Chapter 15: Guilty
Next morning...
I woke up before Viora, and she was also the first thing I saw after opening my eyes. As I watched her, I noticed she wasn’t sleeping peacefully like before.
Now, she seemed a little troubled. The last two days I saw her, her pillow was under her head, her hands would be at her belly, and a faint but visible smile would be on her face.
But now? Her pillow wasn’t even under her head anymore, instead it was at the edge of the bed and it would have taken just a little push to make it fall.
Then came her arms. One of them was swinging off the bed. And just like her arm, the bedsheet was also too messy to even be called a sheet. All of it was gathered at one place.
’What was she doing yesterday night?’
I thought and unintentionally, the scene from last night began to play itself in my mind. After I had gone back to my bed, she had began to move on her bed.
First she had moved left, and after five seconds she had moved to her right, then she had lay down facing her back upward.
’What I said yesterday must have hurt her a lot.’
I thought and stood up from my bed. Then, I grabbed the pillow and gently lifted her head, so that I could place it under her head.
As I was adjusting the pillow under her, I began to realize that I might have overcomplicated things between us.
’I shouldn’t have doubted her honesty.’
After placing both of her arms on her sides and making her comfortable, I opened the side table and grabbed the handkerchief that was inside it.
With that, I wiped the corner of her lips. I also moved away the hair that was in front of her face.
I made sure that she was now comfy and sat on my bed and waited for her to wake up.
After around half an hour, she woke up. And for a few minutes there was an awkward silence between us which none of us dared to break. I kept sitting on my bed looking at her and she kept laying there without making even a little movement.
’If this goes on, how am I gonna talk things out?’
I will just initiate the conversation. Even admitting your own fault takes effort, so after gathering every bit of it, I began, "Viora... About yesterday... I was stupid."
"I didn’t mean to make it sound like your feelings weren’t real."
I dropped my head and looked at the ground. I didn’t have the courage to look at her. After thinking about it for the whole night and seeing how it made her feel...
I don’t believe I have any right to say this now, but I still should.
"I was... scared."
Scared of using you, scared of dying, and scared of misunderstanding my own feelings.
"So, I am sorry—"
"Dyn’t..."
I was gonna apologize to her properly but she didn’t even let me apologize. Just how much upset is she with me? She won’t even listen to my apology? I must have hurt her more than I realized.
"Let me, atleast—"
"Nu..."
Again she cut me off.
"Dyn’t... Apal...agise... Tu... Anyone... Never... Ever..."
"Why?"
"Apal...agies... Hyrt..." Viora grabbed her hospital clothes tightly and her eyes twitched. "Pipl... Say... Sari... Then... Leve..."
What kind of people had she met for her to say something like that so naturally?
"What should I do then?"
For a few seconds she didn’t respond, and when she did, she only said one word.
"Stay..."
Stay? She only wants me to stay? Nothing else?
"I told you yesterday that I won’t leave you."
I don’t know what was going on in my brain that I said something which was completely unintentional and... wrong.
"So stop trying to hold me with confessions."
I stopped for a moment before saying the biggest sentence of my life.
"If you want to keep me here, then do it properly."
"By making me like you even more."
It was after that, I realized what I had said. I couldn’t control those words, they just came out of my mouth on their own.
But, I suppose it is okay since Viora isn’t actually gonna buy my bluff and say, ’Alright, I wil—’
"Alryt... I... Wyl..."
"What?!!!" I wasn’t shocked, nor surprised, because what I felt couldn’t be explained with those simple words.
You could say I was too shocked to be surprised, I mean, too surprised to be shocked. I mean, I don’t know what I was hearing.
"You... Did you really?" I asked with wide-opened eyes and a dropped jaw. However, she just giggled before speaking.
"Yu... Dum..."
