—Woo Jin’s POV—

For the whole night I slept like a log. The bed mattress was so soft that I had no awareness of time or my surroundings.

After a peaceful night of rest, I slowly opened my eyes to the bird’s chirping.

’Is it morning already?’

Waiting for a few minutes, I moved, then sat up on the bed and the first thing I did was call for my System.

"System, status."

’Hmmm, should I just put all of those 100 points into mana? Or just enough needed for the evolution.’

I wondered.

I only need 96 mana points in total and I also don’t have any other skills than this Evolutionary one, which drains mana. So I don’t think I will need it any time soon.

I should increase the mana points to 100 and use the remaining points in other stats.

I clicked the distribution points text on the screen and it went up into the headline. Under it were all other stats.

Then I increased the mana to hundred and added the remaining six points to endurance.

Now that I have taken care of this whole mana thing, I should wash up and eat something.

I moved my legs to the side of the bed and when my feet touched my shoes, another screen appeared in front of me.

No reward for clearing the quest? So this is also linked to Viora. At this point the system isn’t mine but Viora’s.

However, the contribution reward for clearing Gates is still good. This also explains why I got a hundred points when I exited the Gate.

But why is the system showing me this when there is practically nothing to inform me in it?

After around half an hour.

I was sitting on a chair placed next to the dining table. The table was round and wasn’t so big. Only three chairs were placed around it.

On one was me and of course Elena was sitting on the second one. But I was a little surprised by the person sitting on the third chair.

"Good morning,"

It was Sophie. I was surprised by her appearance but not that much. Because from time to time, when there was too much work, she stayed at Elena’s home and yesterday was that day.

"Good morning, Sophie." I said and focused my gaze in front of myself. On the table, many different dishes were placed.

Watching them I couldn’t help but start eating before them. One after another I tasted every dish on it. All of them were really tasty.

"Slow down, did they starve you in the hospital?" After witnessing me eat without taking a breath, Elena spoke up.

"Even though there was only one VIP room, I still told them to take care of you specifically."

When I heard her, I just shook my head because my mouth was full.

At my response, Elena just nodded slightly and also began to eat, followed by her assistant.

As we were having our breakfast, I felt both Elena and Sophie’s gaze piercing into me from time to time.

’Why are they peeking at me?’

I thought but ignored their intense looks. Finishing my breakfast, I stood up and took a few steps away from the table.

"Are you going somewhere?" Elena asked me and I turned my head a little bit to look at her.

"Yeah, just meeting a friend, nothing else."

I half lied and expected her to stop me and force me to stay inside, but she just gave me her approval.

"Okay."

Saying that she focused on her food and I, with my stiff back, walked out of the villa.

’Before I go to Viora, I should take the mana stone.’

I thought and searched the bushes.

"It is supposed to be somewhere around here."

After searching deeper I was able to get my hand on it and then I pulled it out.

Taking it to the hospital with me will attract so much unwanted attention, but I have to. Because if this is consumed by Viora. She will get stronger and may feel a bit better. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

The father and son in the Gate must have eaten these too much in quantity. That is why they turned into monsters.

Eating it in controlled manner will make you stronger, but if you eat it daily, it is a no.

But it is understandable since there was no edible food to survive on. So they had no choice but to eat these.

Thinking that I countied walking toward the hospital.

After some time, I was able to reach it.

Viora was just on the other side of the door. I will open it and then she will be in front of me.

That is the only thing I was waiting for, but I don’t know why I was feeling uneasy.

It wasn’t like this before I reached this door.

Like if I opened the door I would die in an instant. As if there was a monster on the other side.

’Must be my hallucinations.’

I dismissed the uneasiness and opened the door.

I looked toward the bed and found Viora still sleeping. But something was wrong. She had her hand stretched out in the air and her head was full of sweat too.

Quietly, I walked to her bed and grabbed a stool and sat on it beside her.

Her expression was changing simultaneously. One time she was angry, the other she was smiling, and then she was sad.

She must be dreaming about something. I watched her making different kinds of faces.

"Wu...!"

Then suddenly her eyes opened and she let out my name’s first word. However, I still didn’t make any sound.

I wanted to know if she was dreaming about me. Because by the word it did seem like it.

"...Liar,"

Liar?

Is she talking about me?

"Who are you calling liar?" Curiosity took over me and I finally made a sound.

But, in return all I got was her silence and the same old name she calls me.

"...Dum?"
