"Are....are you kidding me? Stop fooling around me, Stuart." Edie frowned.

"You lost your husband, and I lost my wife. I can chase after you, can’t I? Do you have men to chase after you, Miss Jackson? If not, now you have one. If you want a husband, tell me. I can definitely be a good husband."

He said and smiled gently. Then he took a sip of coffee.

His voice sounded so warm.

At the moment, Edie was already driven crazy.

"Stuart, don’t be ridiculous. We are totally different person. You are born in a noble family, too good for me."

"I don’t care. I am willing to step into your word. If you don’t open the door of your world, I can get in through the window."

"Stuart," Edie padded on the desk suddenly and stood up, bending towards him, "I would never date with you again."

Her face looked so cold as the frost in the cold autumn. At the moment, she looked like a cold beauty.

Stuart threw an eye on her breast and coughed in a low voice, "Bigger now."

Edie got confused. She looked towards his eyes and realized what he was looking at.

Her breast.

"Stuart, you pervert."

Edie sat back immediately, staring at the man sitting on the opposite angrily.

"I would take full responsibility."

He said seriously.

He wished to take full responsibility.

"God. I should have refused to talk to you. I need to go now."

Edie took the purse and turned around.

As she was about to leave, the man behind her started talking.

"You always complain to me that we haven’t dated before getting married. Now I want to date you. I would seek after you, no matter how fast you run. I can run fast. I would catch up with you. Even though we are five-year far away with each other, I would catch up with you."

"Even if you don’t love me anymore, I would make you fall in love with me again. I would make you love me only."

"Edie, I’ve told you. Except you, I would never get married to any girl else. Since I’ve held your hands, I would never let you go again. Don’t dream of getting rid of me. You wouldn’t be able to get rid of me unless I die."

The last sentence kept ringing in Edie’s mind, like a thunder.

She burst into tears. She couldn’t control it. The wind from the air conditioner blew on her face. She felt so cold.

"Stuart, I would never forgive your mother. I would never forgive her. Don’t ever dream of it."

She said in a cold voice. Then she left without throwing an eye on Stuart.

Looking at her tiny figure, Stuart held his fist tightly.

In the next week, Edie didn’t see Stuart once, as if he disappeared suddenly.

However, after a week, Laty’s teacher called her. She told Edie that Laty became more outgoing. Now she spent lots of time playing with her classmates. She also participated in the class and accompanied Sophie to the washing room.

The teacher felt really satisfied with Laty. She told Edie lots about her. Edie was so surprised. She stopped the teacher, "Are you sure she was playing with them rather than standing aside, looking at them like looking at idiots?"

"Edie, you are so humorous. Everyone had seen the change in Laty. She’s changed. I am sure of it. Now she got along well with her classmates. I believe you have taken the effort to achieve this. Please keep on."

Edie didn’t know how to describe her feeling. She walked out of the office room and walked to the playground. There were lots of entertainment facilities there. All kids love those.

She saw Laty standing under the swing. She was pushing the swing for Sophie. Edie couldn’t believe what she saw.

The teacher told her that Laty has changed since Monday. It was so incredible. She had changed a lot. Now she was like such an obedient kid like others.

Monday...

Suddenly she remembered what Stuart promised to her. It would work on Monday.

What has he done to Laty?

She asked Laty to come to her and asked her, "What happened, Laty? Your teacher told me you’d changed a lot. You didn’t even want to throw an eye on them before. Don’t you think they are too naive now?" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"I think I should have a normal childhood, like others. See, I have lots of friends now, though they are all stupid."

Laty raised the corner of her mouth. But actually, she was roaring inside.

"What...what happened to you, dear?"

"My dad came to visit me on Monday. He spent one hour talking to me. I think he is so wise. His words made sense. So I agreed with him. Besides, he was so busy this week so he couldn’t make time to visit us. On the day of my grand grandpa’s date of death, he would come to pick us up to pray in front of his tomb."

"I see. I am so worried about you. So you’ve talked to him, right? Why don’t you tell me before?"

"He said he’d made lots of mistakes. You don’t want to forgive him. If he shows up so frequently, you would hate him. So he asked me not to tell you."

Hearing these words, Edie’s heart started aching.

The pain on her heart kept torturing her.

She let Laty play with other classmates. She sat beside, looking at her till noon. Then she ate lunch with Laty. After doing all this, she finally left the school.

Since Laty made changes, lots of students want to sit with her. They all admired her that she had such a strong dad and beautiful mother. Laty was the happiest kid among them.

Besides, Laty was so pretty. Because she dressed like a girl, not only a boy but also a girl like her, she won high popularity among them. Most boys even worshiped her because she was quite good at beating. She could even win a seven-year-old boy.

Therefore, she became the idol of many students in her class.

At lunch, so many students sat with them that the biscuit Edie took here was not enough for them.

Laty really changed. She always crossed hands on her chest before and stared at others coldly. Her sharp eyes and short hair made her look more like a boy.

Now, she talked to her classmates in a soft voice. She smiled like an elegant lady. Her eyes looked like a new moon. So beautiful.

Edie got so curious about what Stuart told her.

But whatever Edie asked, Laty refused to tell her directly.

Finally, when Edie left, Laty took a relief.

Seeing those stupid kids surrounding her desk and Sophie holding her rice roll, she shouted out.

"Move now."

She roared out, frightening all those little kids.

At the moment, several men looked towards her. They looked like the cooks in the kitchen.

Seeing them, Laty immediately covered her mouth and forced an innocent and pretty smile.

"Oh, don’t sit so close. I haven’t eaten anything. Please let me have my lunch, okay. I would teach you later. If you don’t move, I would be able to eat my lunch. I would be too weak to teach you, then."

Hearing these words, all kids scattered around immediately.

Finally, everyone around her was looking at her eating lunch.

Laty was almost driven crazy.

Actually, the core meaning of what her dad told me in that one-hour conversation was, "Now you have only two choices, one is that I would employ a teacher for you, then you no longer have to be bothered by these stupid students and teachers, the other is to promise to me to stay here and act like a normal student."

Stuart’s words were so simple. All he cared about was her mother’s feelings.

She didn’t want to leave her school.

Though her desk mates were a little bit stupid, her teacher was not perfect for her, and she was having great fun here.

She would be so bored if she was locked at home.

Therefore, Laty forced herself to play with her classmates.

In the beginning, she enjoyed this feeling. Gradually, as she became more and more influential among those kids, she was under greater and greater pressure. She even attracted lots of students in a primary school in the distance away from her kindergarten. Oh, so much pressure on her.
