Chapter 1286: Mean And Shameless

Ming Rusheng stood up, "I'll have a bath. You rest till then."

"Hmm," Lu Lian nodded as she was still tired, and traveling from Mr. Wong's home felt like a long journey to her as they had to drive slowly due to the snow. 

Ming Rusheng returned after a bath with a white towel wrapped around his waist. Just as he thought to check on Lu Lian, a tired lady had already drifted to sleep. 

'Seems like it was too much for her. I need to control next time or she might not let me touch her,' Ming Rusheng thought and went to the wardrobe room of his suite.

Ming Rusheng came out in a while getting ready in a white shirt and dark beige color pants. Seeing she was still sleeping, he went to the living room of the suite and dialed the number.

"Bring all the files to my suite," and hung up the call. 

Lu Lian woke up by noon when she looked around with her sleepy eyes. The bright sunlight out of the huge glass window of the room showed that it was mid-day.

'How long did I sleep?' Just as she thought, she looked around the room and saw a man sitting on the couch wearing a white shirt and dark grey color pants, busy working on his laptop while going through the files. 

Just the sight of this handsome man was enough to bring a smile to her face and make her feel dreamy. 

'It still feels like a dream,' she thought and her mind recalled all the memories from the past when she first met him and till the present day. She could not believe they had come so far and now finally were together. In the past, she never thought this is the man she would ever fall for.

Ming Rusheng, who was busy working, sensed a sight fixed on him and looked at her, "Good afternoon." He put his work aside and went to her and sat at the edge of the bed, "How are you feeling now?" his hands fixed her hair and tugged behind her ears.

"I am good," she replied and continued to stare at him like before. 

Ming Rusheng smiled, "What happened?"

A content smile never left her lips and she replied, "I still can't believe we are together. Feels like it's just a dream. I will wake up soon and it will be all gone."

"It's not a dream," he assured.

She nodded and he said again, "I am sure you don't dream about me that hard to make you sore for this long."

"You…so mean," she covered her blushing face with the blanket covering her. 

Ming Rusheng chuckled, "I was kidding."

"You should not make such mean jokes with me," came the displeased voice under the blanket. 

"Fine. I will be just mean with you when we are in bed and…."

"Stop there," she exclaimed while uncovering her face, "So shameless you are."

"I know. I can be even more mean and shameless but I am stopping given your current condition."

"You dare," she said and tried to sit in the bed but she felt her waist and legs were still hurting. 

Ming Rusheng helped her sit and asked, "Still the same?"

Lu Lian nodded, "I'll be fine once I soak in warm water."

"Wait here," Ming Rusheng went to the bathroom and returned after some time, "It's ready."

Lu Lian was about to get out of the bed, he helped her, "Don't move," and carried her to the bathroom. Lu Lian didn't resist and let him be. She felt good the way he was taking care of her. 

When they entered the bathroom, she said, "I would like to have some time alone."

Ming Rusheng nodded and put her down, "Call me if you need something. What you need, everything is here."

Lu Lian nodded and Ming Rusheng left. He was sure worried about her but he knew she must want some privacy. 

After soaking in warm water, Lu Lian felt much better and then came out of the bathroom donned in a white bathrobe. Ming Rusheng looked at her and stood up to go to the wardrobe. He opened it and said, "Your clothes are here."

'Clothes?' she thought as she was already worried about what she would wear but didn't expect Ming Rusheng to arrange it for her. She went to the wardrobe and saw a few dresses hanging from the hangers, sets of undergarments kept on the shelf, and even some cosmetics. 

She saw the dresses and undergarments carefully as they were what she preferred. 

"Not bad," she smiled at him, "Mr. Ming knows what I like. I just hope they will fit me."

"They will," Ming Rusheng said and returned to the couch, letting her decide on what she wanted to wear. 

Lu Lian pulled out one dress and then saw the brand logo, "It's…" she looked at Ming Rusheng and he answered, "An Tian always makes clothes for you so it was better to order it from him."

"Wait, so he knew you ordered them for me?" she asked. 

"I didn't tell him whom I was ordering for. I just told him to send some women's dresses and undergarments."

It puzzled Lu Lian and he said again, "By now every person around us knows I love only one woman and that's you."

She had nothing to say and started getting off her robe. Ming Rusheng exhaled seeing his woman getting undressed and stood up to leave. 

She asked, "What happened?"

"I don't wish to put you in bed for one more week," he left without looking at her.

Lu Lian chuckled as she didn't know what to say to him but she was sure she didn't wish to be in bed for a week. 

Once she was ready and came out of the bedroom, she saw the hotel staff arranging the lunch on the dining table. Ming Rusheng looked at her from head to toe, who was ready in new clothes and put on some makeup, and looked out of the world as usual. 

'How much I looked at her, it will never be enough,' he exhaled a little, 'Control! Control!'

She went to him as the staff left. "Let's have lunch."

She nodded, "Hmm! I am starving."

While eating, Lu Lian was quiet.

"What are you thinking about?" Ming Rusheng asked. 

"Once I go home, I don't know how to answer my mother and how to explain all this. Especially Lu Lijun, he…"

"I will take you home and explain to them. Don't worry about your brother. He will understand you better now."

"You don't know Lu Lijun…."

"I know him better now. Rest assured. He is probably busy with his own issues," Ming Rusheng added. 

"What issues?" she asked. 

"He is not that young kid anymore. Everyone has some issues."

She gave him a meaningful look, "You know something right?"

"Eat first," he instructed and focussed on his food.

"He is my brother. Tell me first."

Ming Rusheng looked back at her. "Are you sure, you really don't have any idea what's going on with him or just wish to hear it from me?" 

Hearing this, Lu Lian turned silent and Ming Rusheng said again, "He is a tough guy. He will be fine."

Lu Lian just nodded and said nothing more about Lu Lijun. 

Once they finished eating, Ming Rusheng took Lu Lian to her home though he didn't wish to part away from her. She was sure her family must be worried about her and for now, it was right to take her back.
