10,000x Reward Multiplier: Hell-level Kingdom Building - Chapter 44: [0] Goblin Slayer V2
Floki proceeded to harvest monster cores from the monkeys and ended up with only 11 tangible ones as the remaining ones had been broken during their exchange.
After he was done harvesting, he smashed all of the monkey corpses into a thick mixture of meat and blood paste with his feet.
His intention was pretty simple; he wanted the blood of these monkeys to draw other monsters toward the area so he would not have to go out of his way to search for them.
Nonetheless, he only had a little hope that this method would actually work.
"If I had a fire-type skill or any item that creates fire, I would have burnt the corpses instead, as this would increase the potency of the smell," he sighed quietly to himself.
He had a lot of ideas on how to make things work better, but he lacked the necessary resources, and this limitation was reducing his productivity a lot.
After smashing the corpses into paste, he waited for a few minutes, observing his surroundings carefully, yet no monsters arrived.
Floki heaved a long sigh and eventually gave up on waiting.
"If I had enough resources, I would have set traps around these corpses. Dammit, being limited is very painful."
With that, he turned and ran away in another direction.
Barely two hours had passed since he entered the dark forest, but he had already accumulated almost thirty thousand experience points and obtained 11 monster cores. His time had not been wasted entirely.
While running through the bushes, he made sure to mark his surroundings carefully in order not to get lost when it was time to return home.
He used the strange vegetation he encountered as natural landmarks, and once in a while, he would stop briefly and engrave markings onto the trees.
The markings were made in symbols only he could understand. This way, he would be able to prevent others from finding and using them to locate Ironside.
With all these precautions in place, he was able to move freely without fear or hesitation.
After another hour of fruitless searching, he finally came across a small group of 10 goblin champions strolling aimlessly through the forest.
"Jackpot," he muttered inwardly, his eyes narrowing slightly upon seeing the goblin champions.
They were the same ones he had encountered at the perverted goblin den: tall, huge, muscular, and wielding heavy weapons that looked capable of crushing bone with ease.
But this time was different from the last encounter, as he was now a silver-rank being, while all of them were still bronze-rank.
Nevertheless, he was glad to see them for another reason entirely.
"Hey, jackass!"
He called out loudly and waved at them, deliberately drawing all their attention toward himself.
The goblin champions tilted their heads in the direction of the noise, soon spotting a puny white-haired human male waving at them so openly. Instantly, their primal hunger and anger surged to the surface.
All ten of them charged toward him while shrieking furiously, their heavy footsteps thudding against the ground.
Floki grinned faintly and, without the slightest hint of fear, clashed with them head-on.
Soon, their exchange thundered across the vicinity.
Floki’s longsword cleaved cleanly through the air and detached a goblin champion’s arm in one swift motion, causing it to cry out in pain.
Another goblin champion, wielding a massive battle axe, sent its weapon descending toward Floki from above with brutal force.
Floki could easily block the attack with his current strength, but his weapon was not durable enough to withstand such impact.
He had checked the durability of the longsword earlier, and it was now at 30%. If such a heavy weapon were to clash directly with it, it would definitely shatter.
He chose to dodge instead, stepping aside with precision before thrusting his blade forward and stabbing the goblin champion through the heart, killing it instantly and earning a thousand experience points with the fifty times multiplier.
"The difference between now and two days ago is massive. It took me half an hour to take down one of them, but it has only been about ten minutes now, and four of them have already fallen."
He analyzed his power calmly while continuing to slaughter the remaining goblin champions.
As his sword cleaved through the neck of the ninth one, the notification he had been working toward finally flashed before his eyes.

Reading the newly added effect, a strong curiosity to test it out immediately surfaced within him.
Without wasting any time, he activated it telepathically.
There was only one goblin champion left, and it was currently charging at him with clear revenge burning in its eyes.
Nonetheless, the moment the fear effect was activated, the goblin champion suddenly tripped and crashed onto the ground.
Its angry eyes now carried visible hints of fear.
But the desire for revenge was still present and strong.
It stood up again, grabbed its battle axe, and continued advancing toward Floki.
However, this time, its movements were completely disoriented.
The battle axe slipped from its hands several times, and its movements were unstable, as though it were tipsy.
"The fear effect is very good. If only it extended to other monsters. After all, very soon, goblins will be the least of my worries," he muttered to himself thoughtfully.
He lifted his blade and slew the goblin champion with ease.
[ You’ve slain x1 goblin champion, EXP +20 ]
[ 50x multiplier applied, EXP +1000 ]
[ Total EXP: 42,550 ]
"Forty-two thousand experience points. Not bad."
He smiled faintly upon seeing the number displayed clearly in front of him.
He went ahead to harvest the goblin corpses, collecting their monster cores efficiently.
After that, he observed the weapons laid out before him.
"I think I’ll take one of these weapons. My longsword will give out very soon," he thought as he assessed them.
He made his choice and picked up the greatsword.
[ Greatsword - Uncommon
Boosts strength-based attacks by 20% and slightly increases attack range due to its extended blade length
Durability: 89/100 ]
Floki lifted the greatsword with ease despite its noticeable weight.
He would have thought it was extremely light if he had not tried to use it two days ago. Back then, the sword had felt unbearably heavy, and he could not even swing it properly.
After adding the weapon and the monster cores he had gathered into his inventory, he proceeded deeper into the forest.
Time went by speedily, midnight came and went by as he continued deeper with caution.
And after a long search, he finally encountered a creature that made his very being scream at him to flee.
