100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat
Chapter 82: Battle in the Throne Room [2]
They had all seen the figure that had passed through in the hole, but since not all of them knew who it was, they were consumed by fear of the unknown.
"What was that right now? Was that the person who killed the monstere?" Sinon asked.
And hearing this, Nyra responded, "Yes, It’s Aegon."
Sinon was baffled, "He had gotten so strong."
At this moment, most of the awakeners still had their heads up while some were looking at the huge monster on the ground. Although they knew it was dead, they didn’t dare approach it.
"He is at the higher part of the castle, right?" Natsu asked, looking at Nyra, "Then that must be where the throne room is, where the bosses are."
Looking around Nyra replied, "We need to find a way there. Where is the way?" She was looking around the hall to find the path that will take them to the higher castle, and just then at the head of the hall, she found a right corner.
"There! We need to hurry, let’s go!"
Nyra and the others began walking towards the head of the hall, Natsu at her right hand side, Sheila at his own right, while another awakener was at Nyra’s left hand side.
Meanwhile, Sinon and Cassie were at the back, dead last. This was because Cassie was still in the state of terror; her expression was still in shock and had not yet recovered.
And because of this, Sinon, who was supporting her to walk, was slowed behind.
Nyra and those at her side were at the front of everyone, they reached the right corner at the head of the hall, and turned. To their surprise they saw what looked like an elevator.
Natsu blinked "Is that what I think it is?" He walked towards it, the only one who did while the others waited behind.
"It is, isn’t it?" Sinon asked, as she made her way from the back to the front passing the middle of the awakeners while still supporting Cassie in her steps.
Natsu nodded while looking at the design. This wasn’t the modern day elevator but one that was operated with mana.
The energy that powered it came from a thin line of wire that was connected to the storage where the mana was being kept.
Of course, how it worked wasn’t the concern of these awakeners but just so it could take them up.
Although it was still a shock to them that there was something like an elevator here.
"How is it even possible?" Nyra asked, even though she did not really want to know the full details, she still had to ask.
"I... don’t know." Natsu responded. "If Chrome was here, maybe he could have at least given us an explanation.
Saying this, it had just occurred to them how important and needed Chrome was in their party.
He was like the brain that ran and made everything work very easy for everyone even when it felt difficult.
These words of Natsu made their urge to find him more pumped and boosted.
No one spoke again as they all entered the elevator and were taken up.
...
BOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
"You will never get to the King human, I will not allow it. Even if I have to fight you to the death, I will not allow you pass"
"Hmph, so you say. But to me that’s just a puppet on that throne. How can you call that a king? If I didn’t know better, I’d say you are the one controlling things here."
Aegon was on the ground with one knee looking at the administrator who was levitating with his magic carpet.
The administrator was in the front of a golden crimson throne, and seated on that throne was a man who had a gold crown on his head, wearing a crimson and yellow robe.
It was the King of the Undefeated. This ruler of this region of the grimharrow.
His eyes were dead, looking forward but not blinking, yet he was alive.
They were in the throne room. A place even longer than the great hall. It was about two times the size of the great hall, and somehow the structure outside didn’t look abnormal.
It was like any other castle, any other structure of a normal castle.
However, the reason why it was abnormal in the inside and not the outside was because of the use of mana manipulation.
This was done solely by the administrator using various kinds of techniques and mechanics within his arsenal.
The administrator had a vexed expression on his face as he heard Aegon’s words.
It was as if Aegon had touched a sensitive spot that wasn’t supposed to be disturbed.
"You are going to die!!"
The administrator raised both of his hands, appearing on them was a green ball of light which was swirling.
Then, he threw it to where Aegon was but with a swift and precise movement Aegon was able to dodge it without sweat.
The administrator continued to throw this ball of light while at the front of the king.
He didn’t leave the king because he knew that was Aegon’s target, which was why he was only limited by one move.
He had sent a lot of monsters to Aegon, to kill him. But instead, it was the other way around.
Aegon killed them in an instant displaying power that was unexplainable by the administrator.
The thing is, after Aegon had finished fighting with the monsters in the great hall he found the elevator and came up here to the throne room.
And to his surprise, the administrator was at the front of the king, floating in his magic carpet.
While a lot of monsters were blocking him from coming, even before he could step a foot out of the elevator.
However, Aegon was unfazed by this and using his skills, erased all of them in an instance.
The monsters that were here, if in the real world, would have been classified from B-rank to A-rank, and yet Aegon had killed them without a swear.
An example was the bull-like monster that had fallen down to the great hall at the time Nyra and the others were there.
That monster was an A-rank monster, but was defeated like a flea in mere seconds.
This was to show how much Aegon had grown, and the level he was in, currently.
F-rank?
He was now at the level of those who are controlling the real world, if not powerful.
However this didn’t get to his head. He had a goal and clearing this castle was just a part of it.
There was nothing that was going to stop him, not even the administrator who was a mage of higher rank.
After the attacks had ended, and the administrator was looking tired, Aegon was standing upside down on the roof of the throne room, looking at the almost exhausted old dwarf.
Also, the administrator was looking up at him, in his heart he wondered, ’This human isn’t a human at all. How can he have moves like that? I have watched him since he entered this place, and he wasn’t moving like this at all.’
’Don’t tell me, has he been growing while facing all those minions I sent to kill him? But how can he grow so exponentially fast?’
’From his movement, his speed, his agility, his strength, even his key senses. Almost like one who had mastered the art of the body and used them on mere instincts alone.’
’And that isn’t all. Since he got here, he had only used a couple of abilities every time, but something tells me he had more.’.
"Hm?"
The administrator strained his eyes, looking at the necklace that had just fallen out of Aegon’s shirt and hanging on his neck.
His eyes widened in shock, consumed with fear, realizing where that pendent on him was from.
"That symbol... don’t tell me, is that from the Frost of Aranyani?"
