Sweat flowed down for the administrator’s head, his eyes completely consumed in terror.

’That’s not possible! He’s a human not an elf. So how did he get that pendent?’

’Was it given to him? No, impossible. Life in the forest has been wiped out for almost forty years now, and this human is no older than twenty so there can’t be a connection.’

’Hold on, were they survivors? No way, I checked after the battle, there was no one alive. All lives had been consumed and taken for experiments.’

’The ones that did survive were turned to beasts, mindless and irrational. So how come he had the mark of Aranyani?’

Aegon, who was still standing upside down on the ceiling of the room, saw the expression the administrator was displaying.

’What is that old man doing?’

Aegon followed the administrator’s gaze and noticed that he was looking at him, but what exactly, he didn’t know.

Just then, he released himself from the ceiling, flipping and landing on the ground. As he dropped, the pendant on his neck hit his chest which caught his attention.

"Oh, I almost forgot it was there..."

He held the necklace and was about to put it within his shirt when he saw the administrator’s eyes and noticed.

’Is he looking at the necklaces?’ Aegon wasn’t sure and tried to find out. He dropped the pendant down, the administrator’s head also dropped, while still looking at it.

’Oh?’

Aegon was not yet conceived so he raised the pendent and the administrator’s head was raised, his eyes following the pendant.

’Well what do you know, it is the pendent he’s looking at.’ Aegon thought this in his heart and left the necklace on his chest, outside.

Just then, the voice of the administrator echoed.

"Where did you get that necklace from, human?!" He shouted.

Aegon looked at him, but was not interested in responding. He moved one step forward and the administrator, cowering in fear, moved back a little with his carpet.

At this point, he was very exhausted because of all the magic balls he was throwing.

He was almost out of mana considering the part that he had created a lot of high level monsters to fight, which made his mana drain faster. It was expected for his mana to drain, it wasn’t as though he had infinite mana.

Even with that, he was still an old individual, and his body couldn’t keep up with this kind of battle anymore.

’Tck, he wouldn’t answer but I know where exactly it came from.’ the administrator thought within. ’hold on...’

It was at this moment that the most obvious thought came into his head.

’H-How did he get mana to use here? He should have run out of it by now.’.

Aegon was still walking forward, and because the room was very long it was taking him time to reach the middle.

However, from every step he took, the administrator felt cold chills down his spine. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

’It is impossible. No human can use mana here, that is why they are all chained up and unable to leave their cages. The only people that can use mana are those who are allowed to by his majesty’s authority.’

’So this human, how did this particular human manage to bypass his power? Even if he had infinite, which is impossible, no one can have infinite mana; it would have been drained to nothing.’

The administrator swallowed his saliva, a sweat slid down from his face to the ground, he was shaking.

’This doesn’t make sense. I have studied, done a lot of research and experiments. At my current level I know almost everything, even what I don’t know I should have a possible answer to it.’

’But this,’ his eyes landed on Aegon’s piercing gaze while he walked. ’This human is on another level. He is someone I can’t comprehend. Someone I can’t have answers to. I’ve tried and got no response.’

’It is like an external force is at work here, stopping me from going forward. A higher dimensional being? A god?’

The administrator shook his head in disagreement with his own thoughts.

’That is impossible. If a god was here I would know. The overwhelming power would have destroyed me and everything in sight. I wouldn’t even be floating right now.’

’Even so, it is impossible for a god to be in Grimharrow. They have their own realm and wouldn’t interfere with the lesser realms.’

The administrator was an individual with amassed knowledge which he had gotten over a couple hundred years of his life.

He was a master of craftsmanship, magic, and mana manipulation. He was also an engineer, a scholar, a scientist, and a researcher. And on top of it all, he was a teacher, a well known and recognized one in Grimharrow.

All this was who he had become, giving him the name ’The Administrator’. Not of a single field but of many.

He had knowledge of almost everything, both past and present, and yet he couldn’t comprehend the sole existence of the human who was before him.

It was like a lion who had conquered all the lands and everything in it. But not the entire world, there was still a part it couldn’t conquer. If he tried he would fall and drown in it.

This was the ocean.

If a lion is the king of the land and all animals he still wasn’t the king of all animals because he hadn’t conquered the ones inside the ocean.

Therefore, making his goal of domination half complete.

"Oh this is not good..." the administrator uttered under his breath. "If I let him come any closer I would have to use my ultimate," he turned his neck and looked at the King on the throne.

"But his majesty. I can’t do that to him." He turned back, facing Aegon who was still approaching.

’It doesn’t matter, nevertheless if I use it, I’d be killing two beds with one stone. This human wouldn’t touch his majesty, and that ’other’ individual... ’He’think he can deceive me? I wouldn’t let his plan come through.’

The administrator began moving down with his carpet, after a while, was standing on the ground.

He stepped out of the carpet and moved back to where the throne was. To the king, he walked up to him, and kissed his forehead.

"It’s all for you, your majesty." After doing this, he went and stood at the front of the throne, a couple steps away.

Aegon had seen what the administrator had done and was a bit confused.

He stopped moving, looking at the administrator, while wondering in his heart what he had just seen.

’What was that all about? Did he just kiss him and saw something?’ he continued walking, holding his sword tightly. ’Since I got here I had noticed the mana draining system was coming from the throne.’

’Perhaps it’s from the king? But he’s a mere puppet, being used by the old man?’

Nothing made sense to Aegon and personally he didn’t care, but to destroy this entire place.

At this moment, the administrator had both his fingers together and began making hand signs of several kinds.

"What is he doing?"

Just then, a sound was made and both of their attention was drawn to it.

In that moment, behind Aegon, far back, there was a door-like structure, and after the sound stopped, they started hearing voices.

In that moment, the door opened and all the awakeners came out, interrupting the current battle.

Seeing this, Aegon’s eyes widened.

’What? I thought I told them to get out of here after they found each other?’
