Chapter 84: Battle in the Throne Room [4]

"Hey! Aegon we are he..."

The voice of Sinon exclaimed but after reading the room and seeing the tension built, her voice reduced and eventually shut up.

At this point, she was no longer holding Cassie, who had already gotten back her strength and could walk again.

Sinon was somewhat excited to meet Aegon, which was why she had made that kind of greeting, but dropped it after seeing the current situation.

"What are you doing here?!" Aegon yelled.

Nyra walked to the front, her hands on the chain wrapped around her body.

Seeing her move front, Sinon stepped back since Nyra was the one who should be the one to respond to his sudden rage.

Nyra walked a couple distance and uttered, "W-We thought that we should come and help you. You know? To take back what is ours?" She had a gentle smile on her face.

"Take back what is yours... haha?!!" The administrator exclaimed, while laughing.

"You humans are funny. Shouldn’t you all be locked up? Why are you here?"

Nyra moved forward a bit, then suddenly stopped after hearing Aegon’s voice.

"That’s far enough!!"

He didn’t stop her for a mere reason, and Nyra, who wanted to respond and ask him why, quickly closed her mouth after feeling the air she was breathing to be so strong.

"Ahhh!"

Nyra screamed out her voice, as she fell down to her knees, blood rushing down from her noise.

"It hurts!"

Seeing her sudden situation, both Sinon and Natsu rush to her, swiftly taking her back to where they all were.

The reason for her sudden situation was why Aegon had stopped her from going any further.

This thing is, since they almost didn’t have any mana in them, and their ability to perceive mana had completely disappeared, if they were to sense a strong one, without the protection of a functioning mana core, it would kill them.

Nyra had walked forward, arriving at the place where the mana of both Aegon, the administrator and even the King was most strong.

From that area down to where the king sat was filled with thick intense mana, and anyone who didn’t have the ability to perceive mana could instantly die if they were to take it in them.

This was what had happened to Nyra, blood rushing from her nose, and her body being weak. It was an effect of not having the ability to perceive mana and inhaling a thick portion.

The other awakeners gathered around Nyra trying to help while wondering what was happening to her.

However, even the person they were caring for didn’t want to be cared for.

Nyra tried to get to her feet, cleaning the blood off her nose. She had a determined expression, her eyes cold as ice.

"You should rest!" Sinon said, looking at Nyra’s fragile state.

"Like hell I will. The man who imprisoned us is standing there and you want me to be back down? I have come this far, there’s no way I am leaving without a fight."

Sinon, as well as the others, felt the words she had just spoken. Feeling inspired, they help Nyra to stand well on her feet, their piercing gazes at the administrator.

Seeing this, Aegon wanted to speak but was stopped by the administrator’s laughter.

"Hahaha... stupid. If you want to kill me, fine by me. But you wouldn’t know where your last friend is, you want to see him don’t you?"

Hearing this, Aegon quickly turned to the administrator, while the eyes of all the awakeners including Nyra, Natsu, Sheila and Sinon, widened.

They all knew he was talking about Chrome. Because of this, they believe that he was alive, less he wouldn’t be used to threaten them.

"Where are you keeping him!!" Nyra shouted on top of her voice.

And the administrator continued, "Where?... Hm? Go back and lock yourselves up, then I will tell you where he is!"

"Tch." Nyra knew he wasn’t going to talk.

Sinon moved to Nyra’s side and whispered into her ears, "What do we do?"

Hearing this, Nyra didn’t respond, but stared at Aegon, who was now looking at her. He was like the middle man in-between them, but the most important of them all.

Nyra was looking at him, and he at her. She didn’t say anything but her expression alone gave out all words she would have spoken, and Aegon understood.

With an expressionless face he was looking at her but didn’t say anything. Then, he turned and landed his gaze at the administrator.

"Who are you looking at? Your deal is with me, not them." The words left Aegon’s lips, and Nyra felt a bit relaxed.

She knew although he didn’t respond to her gaze, his words alone were proof that he listened. And for the moment, she felt like she could leave all of it to him.

Right now, she had placed their lives in his hands, and the burden she was carrying instantly vanished.

With nothing weighing her anymore, she fell on the arms of those who were supporting her, her eyes shot as she passed out.

"Nyra!"

"Nyra!"

"Nyra!"

The awakeners all shouted her name seeing her sudden collapse.

"It must have been mana."

"She was holding strong but alas couldn’t any longer."

"Hold on Nyra, everything would be fine." Sinon was holding Nyra in her hand, gritting her teeth.

She felt powerless while looking at Aegon’s back, the way stood unfazed.

"Of course, human, how could I?" The voice of the administrator spoke out, looking at Aegon.

"Now, where was I? Oh yes, I was about to blow you all into smithereens!"

Aegon began infusing his sword with a massive amount of mana in preparation of what was about to come.

The administrator was weaving hand signs at incredible speed, the mana around him starting to surge up, surrounding him.

The carpet that was on the ground suddenly rose while being also surrounded in mana. It moved to the administrator, not underneath, but above.

Then all of a sudden, the carpet broke apart into pieces turning into lights of mana and landing of the administrator infusing with him.

His appearance started to change form, while he began levitating above the throne.

"Hahahah!!!... Behold my true form, the gift given to me by the First One himself. I will use it to blow and destroy everything, leaving nothing!!"

All the awakeners were filled with fear seeing the transformation, and the amount of energy that was surrounding him.

Although they couldn’t perceive mana, they still felt the heavy energy in the room. But it wasn’t deadly.

Aegon stared at the administrator. He wanted to move and kill him on the spot, but with what was happening with the administrator’s body, he couldn’t risk it.

’What is he planning on doing?’ he wondered inwardly.

"Finally! It is done!!" The words came out of the being in front of the awakeners.

The administrator was no longer an old dwarf but had turned into a creature with three eyes, a pair on the usual place while the last on his forehead.

His body has turned into a white pale creature with a cape at his back. He looked like a dazzling star, a radiant of magnificent and perfect. Two horns grew on his head, his three eyes blowing multiple colors like a star hidden within.

He was almost the embodiment of perfection.

"Hahaha... I have transcended! I have transcended beyond the moral limits, now ’he’ wouldn’t be able to touch me or speak as he pleases."

He casted gaze down at the awakeners and said.

"I have become omnipotent. The one who had ascended beyond the gods, and almost on par with the ’First One’!!"

"No, you’re not?" A voice spoke out, that wasn’t Aegon’s or from any of the awakeners.

STAB’

"Wha-"

Above where the administrator was levitating, a hand appeared at his chest which had pierced through his heart from behind. He spat out a mouth full of blood, trying to turn to see who it was.

But the others already saw who it was.

The king.
