100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat
Chapter 88: Situation at Hand
Nyra spoke of the words which the voice had spoken. The one concerning who was destined to die amongst them, and they actually were.
Five in total, and all were killed by the awakener called Aegon.
Hearing this one, the guild master leaned forward saying, "Hold on, you’re telling me that this Aegon person killed five awakeners?"
Nyra nodded.
Crimson Lion looks at Nyra with a very shocked and confused expression. He, himself couldn’t believe it, an awakener killing other awakeners.
This was supposed to be illegal but that only applied to the real world. Awakeners can’t fight amongst themselves and kill each other, else they would get judged by the law.
However, the Abyss was a different case. There, it happens all the time and it wasn’t a surprise to anyone.
But what actually shocked the guild master and Crimson Lion was that he did it in front of other awakeners.
Normally, these things are done in secret, even in the abyss, or only in a small group. And that was when the group was on your own side.
But Aegon had done it regardless, even when the other awakeners hesitated to find and kill who it was, even after hearing they would die, they didn’t take action.
With a straight expression on his face, the guild master leaned back to the chair, his fingers clasped together by their tips.
In his heart he spoke, ’Hmm... this awakener is becoming very interesting. Aegon. What an unusual name, never heard of him.’
The guild master made the gesture with his hand for Nyra to continue, and she did.
Nyra continued to explain what had happened after the five awakeners had been killed. How, the entire place began to crumble for an unknown reason, and how they left the place.
She also included how they had all been saved by Aegon, who fought the strongest monsters that could be classified as B-rank to A-rank.
Also how she thought that the crumbling of the spiral was somewhat in her own opinion caused by the force from his battle.
Then afterwards she moved to what had happened in the abyss, everything from the beginning that is when they were captured, to the point Crimson Lion and the other awakeners arrived at the castle.
"This is my report, Sir." Nyra uttered after everything.
"_-_"
It had been three days since they all came out of the abyss.
The awakeners were all able to leave the Abyss safely through a gate that opened outside the castle, after it had fallen to the ground, although they were all already outside the cartel when it happened.
From the time Nyra first entered the Abyss to find her missing comrades, to the time they came back after the incident after the castle and all.
In the real world, only a week had passed, while in the abyss, more than a month had passed.
Crimson Lion had reported how Aegon left the scene, warping space and moving to another dimension, who knew where it went to?
It was a mystery.
When he explained it to the guild master, he, himself didn’t know what he was saying, but nevertheless said it through.
And when the guild master was hearing it, he knew that the individual was no ordinary awakener.
However, he didn’t feel threatened or frightened at all. Because he, himself, was a S-rank awakener.
A very strong one, and the only S-rank among three other guild masters, out of five guilds in total.
There were five guilds, the masters of three were S-rank awakeners, which made their guilds the most formidable, making the competition amongst them to be intense.
While the remaining two guilds were mastered by A-rank top stage awakeners.
There were more S-rank awakeners, who didn’t join or become a guild master because they liked the luxurious life they were living, they were all scattered through other parts of the country.
But the majority of them were in Xemburg City, which was the capital city of the country, and where the association headquarters was stationed.
Although there were still some Guilds that were rumored to have more S-rank in their ranks, the big three that is.
The S-rank awakeners that were guild masters were more into the work culture than living a lavish lifestyle.
Of course, they were still treated like royalty, but were seen more often than the other S-rankers, not by the public eyes, but by regular awakeners.
The guild master of integrity, after hearing all the reports from both Nyra and Crimson Lion, took everything and declared the matter concerning Reynold to be the biggest deal.
"A rogue awakener is not an awakener anymore. And he dares to threaten the world? Who does he think he is?" The guild master stood up from his seat, his eyes raging orange while releasing a small portion of his mana. "The Characteristic Guild will have a lot of explanation to do. Who is to say that he doesn’t have other connections within or even the whole guild."
The guild master’s aura of mana that was flowing reduced, as he calmed himself down.
"Sarah!" He called, and a lady dressed in a grey suit and a skirt, with purple hair walked in through the metal door, holding a clipboard in her hand.
"Yes, guild master!" Sarah uttered, her voice, like the sound of the early morning birds.
"Set up a meeting with the other guild masters, including the non-S-rank masters. We all need everyone to be around while this is discussed, and also prepare my ride," the guild master took his black coat which was hung over on his chair and wore it, saying with a straight expression.
"I am going to meet with the Association Chairman."
He walked out of the office, Sarah following behind him, his large physique a monstrous size making the petite Ms Sarah very little behind him.
After they had left, Nyra and Crimson Lion remained in the room, and after Crimson Lion saw the door shot, he crashed on one of the sofa at the front of the guild master’s desk, his hands stretched wide at the top of the sofa
"Ah!... I am so tired. That aura of his, every time he releases it, I feel like he’s about to bring the whole building down." Crimson Lion uttered, sinking into the sofa, so relaxed.
Nyra looked at him, and walked to where the second sofa is, sat down on it across from him, "It was just a small portion, there was no way he could bring down the building with that amount." She said,
Upon hearing this, Crimson Lion sat upwards, "But he has done it before, this wouldn’t be the second time. And I wouldn’t be surprised if he does it a third time... hehe."
"You will see it on the news again, ’the building of the Integrity Guild broke down because of the intense mana of their guild master. What sort of guild master does that to their own guild building when they are angry?’ that’s exactly how it would go."
Nyra smiles hearing this, while playing the scene in her memory of when it happened the last time.
They both laugh recalling the scene, thinking how far their guild master can take things to be when he’s serious, but also jokingly.
After a while, they stopped laughing, the room becoming silent, the only sound that could be heard was that of the air conditioner.
Just then, Crimson Lion leaned forward, his fingers clasped together looking at Nyra, asking. "So what do you think they’re gonna do? About Reynold, that is?"
Nyra, who was relaxed on the sofa, leaned forward, looking at him. "I don’t know, but for now we shouldn’t call him by his name anymore".
