A Hitman's Guide To Becoming A Hero
Chapter 90: Meteor Punch
As the two approached from both sides, Ronald’s gaze shifted between them.
It could unleash a widespread gravitational field, but that alone wouldn’t be enough to stop Eric, who posed the greater threat. So instead, it focused solely on him.
Ready to use the might of gravity to hold him down, it raised its hands. But just then, Eric disappeared from where he stood, appearing right beside it and taking the impure completely by surprise.
Pulling his fist back, Eric launched it forward like a bullet.
BOOM!
The sheer force launched it backward. It dug its feet into the earth, resisting the pressure from the blow as it steadied itself, a guttural roar escaping its broken jaw.
Eric was surprised he’d appeared there so suddenly, but a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
’That was Phantom.’
He turned to where Nicholas had been standing, but he was already gone.
Ronald had only just steadied himself when several black lines shot across his body.
In a single second, ten punches landed almost simultaneously.
Its jaw shook under the relentless barrage.
Ribs cracked apart.
Then a final punch slammed into its stomach, sending it hurtling through the dirt.
[Slim: There we go Phantom! Beat that crappy impure!]
[Don_RaDjinn: Blow him to bits!]
[DJ87: That’s what you get for trying to take our Mightman from us!]
The chat, which had turned eerily quiet, exploded with comments as hope reignited. Phantom’s arrival had completely changed the course of the fight.
And for a brief moment, it no longer seemed like they’d lose anyone. But the uncertainty still lingered.
[Omfgcookies: All that and that monster is yet to die.... Are they really going to win?]
’Night Ninja’s ability as well? Aren’t you full of surprises Phantom?’ Eric thought as he saw Nicholas display.
"Raarghhhh!!!!" Ronald roared as he finally steadied himself.
His crazed eyes locked onto Nicholas and Eric, burning with madness.
A massive spatial tear ripped across the sky.
With a deafening roar, it hurled the tear forward.
The attack stretched over twenty meters, swallowing everything in its path.
The air was sucked inward.
The ground cracked apart before fading into nothingness as the spatial tear advanced, shredding everything in its path.
Nicholas’s expression twisted as he saw the incoming attack.
’I can’t stop that attack... It’ll take a lot of charm points’ he thought looking behind him.
Right behind him stood Selena.
And beyond her—
Julie
But even then... He hadn’t gotten enough charm points to stop an attack of that calibre.
As his thoughts spiralled in search of a solution, the attack tore forward shredding everything it came into contact with.
"Is there a way to stop that attack?" Eric asked, a deep frown creasing his eyebrows.
"I—"
"Leave it to me, I’ll handle that!" Vixen’s voice echoed as she flew into the air.
With her hands outstretched, she poured all her energy into holding back the spatial tear. The air cracked and reality seemed to be going through a tug of war as the spatial tear was being forcefully closed.
"You both should focus on dealing with the impure. I’ll stop the attacks from spreading further"
Hearing her words, Nicholas glanced towards Eric who gave him a gentle nod.
With Vixen dealing with the attack, Nicholas activated his ability.
At the same time, him and Eric disappeared from the line of the attack appearing behind it.
Ronald’s eyes flashed as he spotted the two and he immediately jumped at them like a ferocious beast, kicking off the earth with momentum, cracks spreading across the ground beneath his feet.
It went for Nicholas first and with a blur of speed, it shot its fist forward.
Nicholas tilted his head to the side, dodging the fist and with a powerful force planted his palm to its chest.
The force rippled through its body, bursting out from its back before sending it flying.
Blood splattered across the earth as it managed to regain its footing, barely able to stand.
Ragged with bruises and blood, the black substance writhed around its exposed bones, slowly covering them.
It seemed to possess regenerative properties...
But even it had its limits.
Ronald looked anything but human, he was closer to being a zombie than an actual human.
With a loud roar, the influence of its gravity spread across the space, bearing down on them.
It had grown stronger, even the earth itself seemed to sink under the weight of gravity.
The ground caved in and it felt as though it’d become the center of gravity as everything was slowly being pulled toward it.
The gravity crushed everything, houses were ground into fine sand, and even the air seemed heavier.
Nicholas felt the weight instantly and despite using his own gravity powers to push against it, the force kept increasing with every second.
"Take me up!" Eric roared as he felt the crushing weight of the gravity bearing down on them, "Let’s attack from above! Use everything you’ve got!"
Nicholas gritted his teeth and without wasting another second, the space warped around both him and Eric and they both disappeared.
[Swampfox: What? Where’d they disappear to?]
Appearing midair, right above Ronald. The force of gravity instantly bore down on them.
But Nicholas didn’t resist and neither did Eric, they pulled their fist backwards and allowed their body to fall freely.
The air resistance built up, causing the air around them to ignite into flames. Nicholas used the anti gravity to coat their skin, but even with that they could feel the heat building up as their fall intensified.
Their bodies lit up like meteors falling from the sky.
[Harry_Hart_3085: Look! They coming from above]
[Nonetheless: It can’t be what I’m thinking right?]
[FluffOG: Will they survive that fall?]
[Primama: THEY’RE USING THE GRAVITY TO THEIR FAVOUR!]
[Chex Geam: I really hope they make it. NO THEY HAVE TO MAKE IT!]
[Demiurge666: HERE WE GO!!]
The audience watched, their eyes wide with anticipation.
The distance vanished in mere seconds. Their momentum continued to build, the energy around them intensifying as they descended.
Ronald stood at the center staring up at the two descending bodies.
It looked as though the heavens themselves had passed judgment upon him.
He stared up in awe, its eyes widening as the two flaming figures descended.
"Ahhhhh!" With a resonating roar, their fist outstretched, muscles tightened, and rage burning in their eyes.
Their fists descended in a cataclysmic display.
[AuraNova: DIE YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!]
BOOOM!
