It sounded as though a nuclear warhead had gone off.

Their punches descended like meteors from the heavens. The earth caved in, several meters deep as a powerful torrent of wind blasted outward, traveling for miles from the center of impact.

A massive cloud of dust billowed into the air, swallowing the entire battlefield.

Julie shielded her eyes from the dust, but she quickly focused her gaze back on the scene.

It wasn’t just her.

Everyone watched, their chests tightening.

They had witnessed how terrifying Dr. Bane had been after his transformation and how hard it was to defeat him. It had taken several heroes just to put him on his deathbed..

The noise finally faded into the distance and the dust slowly came down, everyone watched keenly as the scene came into view.

Sitting in the middle of the massive crater, their backs resting against its walls, smoke rising from their half-burnt clothes, were Nicholas and Eric.

Their laboured breaths echoing as they both glanced towards what was left of Ronald.

His head had been crushed downward, shattering into fragments beneath the force of their combined strike and half his body had been blown to smithereens upon impact.

Steam could be seen rising from whatever remained of its body.

Nicholas looked at the body, his eyes still filled with disdain and slight disappointment, ’I would’ve loved to torture him before he died... This was too easy. Still... it was satisfying.’ Nicholas thought.

Eric let out a sigh from the side, "We did it... That was quite the punch" He said letting out a laugh as he leaned into the wall, unable to move his body.

For once, everyone shared the same wish. That the impure would die. After witnessing the death of thousands they only wanted to see the impure put to a miserable death.

"Guys! Are you alright!" Selena roared as she rushed up to the two, "That was a crazy stunt, you both could’ve died!" Selena yelled at the two as she slid into the crater, rushing to their side.

Eric chuckled at her words, "Have a little more faith in us there’s no way something like that would’ve killed us. I—Ouch!" His words were interrupted with the sharp pain as Selena pressed hard on his open wound on his mangled hands.

Thanks to their gravity-assisted freefall. They’d sustained injuries, their hands carried so much impact that their own bones had been crushed thanks to that.

Blood pooled beneath their arms and their hands bent in an awkward direction.

Selena’s eyes were bright with worry. "You guys need to see a doctor"

"Here, I brought doctor Cho with me" Vixen said as a lanky man walked by her side, wearing a lab coat, his oversized glasses covering his eyes.

"What a wonderful way to drag me out of my office." Cho muttered as he walked by Vixen’s side casually.

As he reached the crater, he glanced at Nicholas and Eric letting out a sigh.

"That was a big risk you both took there, if you weren’t careful you’d be dead most especially you Sir Eric, you’re too old to be performing stunts like that. And I thought you had a scheduled meeting with me today?" Cho said, glaring down at the two with a hint of anger flashing in his eyes.

Eric didn’t say anything and only smiled awkwardly, ’Doctor Cho would take my head off if I said anything,’ he thought, slightly hiding behind Selena’s shadow.

’Doctors are scary’ He thought as he could feel Cho’s piercing gaze on him.

"He deserved it." Nicholas said calmly.

Cho glanced towards Ronalds deceased body, letting out a sigh, "I agree with that.... After the disaster he did here, then he did deserve that. I’ll let this one slide. Sir Eric" he said flashing him a cold glare.

He slid through the crater walls, approaching the two to get a closer look at their injuries.

"Your case is serious, you won’t be able to use this hand for a while" Cho said as looked at Eric’s arm.

"As for yours" He turned to look at Nicholas arm, the arm was slightly burnt from the air pressure that built up around them during their fall and the blood patterns could be seen all over the dark skin.

But his bones were still intact, thanks to the anti-gravity. The anti-gravity had reduced much of the impact.

"Yours seems like something I can handle right now" Cho pushed his glasses up his nose bridge, analyzing the injury, before taking a deep breath.

He closed his eyes and then placed both of his arms above Nicholas arm.

’He has healing ability?’

Nicholas thoughts were quickly confirmed as he felt the effect in an instant as it spread through his arm. He could feel his muscles loosen from the tender warmth, his bones strengthen and his skin slowly pull back together.

It almost seemed like a miracle from a divine being, in an instant, his entire body seemed like it had been rebuilt with a machine.

Almost as though he’d never been injured in the first place, even injuries he’d sustained before the fight that were still healing were all healed instantly.

’This is such a useful ability... I’d love to copy it’ for the first time he was truly interested in an ability.

With this ability, he didn’t have to bother about using pain killers or banding up his injuries so Marina didn’t scold him after every mission.

"Alright, I guess I’m done with you" Cho stood up confidently, but instantly he felt his legs wobble and he almost fell but Vixen caught on quickly.

"That took a lot of energy..... That should cost you one million"

"What?!" Nicholas nearly coughed up the little blood he had left as he stared at Cho in complete shock.

"You didn’t tell him?" He glanced towards Vixen, "Well you should’ve known, healthcare is costly and I don’t give free service" Cho scoffed.

Eric laughed awkwardly, "Let him off Doctor Cho, The association will pay you for the cost. Phantom, sorry for the late introduction, this is doctor Cho, perhaps the only person who could ever love money more than you do"

"Ouch!"

"That’s going to cost you extra, I’ll see you in the office. Now Vixen, get me out of here!" Cho ordered as he turned around, Vixen held him disappearing with him.

"Now you’ve met your match" Selena scoffed, as she walked up to him.

"Not quite, he took me by surprise though. But if he gets paid that much, it only means the association will definitely pay me lots from this"

Selena felt her eyebrows twitch.
