Despite trying to sneak inside the farm, Elaina decided to free them from the silk web of the Silk and let them explain their circumstances. The three understood their current position and cooperatively explained their circumstances prior to them getting caught in Silk’s webs.

"We weren’t exactly trying to sneak inside the farm in the first place. We were just trying to look inside by the gate without even trying to step inside the farm, as the place is quite huge. But, as you can see, we got caught by the silk web that the spider living on that tree had spun and got trapped. I must say, for a farm, having a spider as your lookout and bodyguard is the most secure farm I have ever seen in my life," Darius said to Elaina, praising the security of the farm.

Elaina only laughed at the comment. She didn’t say anything about the other plants that would have attacked them if they managed to pass through the gate without triggering the trap that Silk had laid out. If the three ever got to that point, Elaina doubts they will be getting out unscathed.

"Still, it’s kind of rare to see someone from your race. The only person I know so far who is part of the Devil Race is my adopted son, Raye. Other than that, I only heard news about them from time to time, but did not see them directly. Which is why we are shocked to find someone who is part of the Devil race right now. Based on what we know, most of the Devil Races living here in the kingdom are currently living with other humans and other species while making sure they aren’t fully recognized by travellers who might have bad misconceptions about them."

The three looked at each other, surprised.

"Does that mean the Devil Race is allowed to stay and exist here?" Io asked, hoping for answers.

"Yeah. The king personally ensures the safety of the Devil Race in the kingdom and is the one who provides a disguise for them to ensure they can blend in with regular humans and continue living normally. Who knows if some of the locals are one of the Devil Races? Still, it doesn’t change the fact that they are totally accepted here. Although still hiding since the kingdom does have visitors from other areas of the world, and might not be in favor of the existence of the Devils."

Elaina sighed after telling that. She needed to tell them that it is safe for them to show their real looks without fear. Otherwise, their guard will remain high, and it will become awkward to talk to them. "Anyways, that should be enough for the check. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Elaina, and I am the owner and farmer of this farm. These boys standing behind me are Arthur and Raye. I have a daughter, but she isn’t here at the moment, as they went on an errand not too long ago with the other kids living in this place. Nice to meet you all. And you three are?"

Hesitant at first, Arlo decided to introduce first. "You can call me Arlo, the man beside me is Sir Darius, my bodyguard, and the woman beside me is Io, my maidservant...when I am not driven out of my palace."

"Palace?" Elaina frowned.

Before Arlo could answer, Darius answered her first. "Arlo is the only son of the second son of the late king of the Kingdom of Despia. Arlo’s father wasn’t meant to be the next king, as he is only the second son and not the eldest. However, before the next king is crowned, the palace has been attacked by extremists, and the eldest son has been killed and forced his wife to flee alongside his newborn son. The supposed Empress disappeared, and the extremists have decided to crown the second prince as the new king."

Darius looks at Arlo, and the latter nods in agreement. Seeing the nod, he continues telling the story.

"But His Majesty the King is innocent. They didn’t want the Eldest as he is more capable of dealing with the issues plaguing the Kingdom of Despia, and the extremists don’t want that, as they would lose out on their profit, which is why they decided to crown the next guy in line, the one that is said to be easily controllable. His Majesty hates to be the king and dreads every moment of becoming a King as he had dreamed before of becoming a merchant who would assist the business that the two brothers built. However, thanks to the extremists and their attempts, His Majesty is forced to be the leader in exchange for sparing the lives of his family."

"For years, he planned to cause the downfall of the extremists who turned out to be the elders of the kingdom who wished to rule the kingdom and make sure they regretted killing his brother, but the result was catastrophic, as it ended up backfiring on him and was pinned as the main mastermind for killing his brother for the throne. As a result, the locals are now joining the Extremists to deal with the king and his family. In fear that his family will be dragged into the political mess, he allowed us to escape with his wife and live secluded from the others."

Before Darius could finish retelling the reasons, Arlo started crying, and Io quickly consoled the boy. Elaina seems to have a bit of a guess on what happened after the last part, but it is just a speculation. On the other hand, Darius looks hesitant to continue at first, but Io gives the signal for him to continue.

"But the situation did not end. The locals did not give up hunting his family. We also received news that the King was killed in the process, allowing the Elders who wanted to rule so much to take over. The result? They wanted to cut off loose ends and ensure everyone is gone. So, they hunted us, and in the end, we got cornered. As a last resort, Her Highness the Empress decided to use her body as the catalyst to cast a Long Distance Teleportation ability to transport all three of us from the danger. And after that, we arrived at the forest, just outside the farm. These two boys who came back from hunting were our key to getting out of the forest and seeking civilization...then the rest is what you know so far."

Elaina looked at the boy named Arlo, and seeing him cry very hard meant he held his tears for quite some time, to the point that he didn’t even mourn the death of his parents. He only managed to let his tears go after everything they have come this far. As for the spell that Darius mentioned, she knows about it for a little bit.

Long Distance Teleportation.

When she was studying how to perform teleportation in the past, she came across this ability. Like the regular teleportation spell, it requires a catalyst to perform. However, due to how the Teleportation ability increases the cost needed, the longer the distance that the teleportation will cover. If one wanted to teleport, they needed a hefty amount of items, resources, and many more just to perform it.

And the fact that Arlo’s mother performed it and used her own body to be the catalyst is something else.

"Then, how did you all recognize Raye as the prince? Based on the story you told us, the wife of the second son fled before they were caught and disappeared, correct? If that is the case, doesn’t that also mean that perhaps, you lot are mistaken?" Arthur asked a sudden question that Elaina was not expecting him to do.

"Yeah. Just based on the information you have told us, I was just recently born when the attack happened, and my supposedly real mother left with me. How did you know I was the one? Perhaps I was just a random guy who is not even the prince at all, and you all are just mistaken?"

Darius shook his head. "We can’t be wrong about it. He bore the exact look of the Second son when he was young. The only difference is that he inherited his mother’s white hair and her red eyes. And the aura he released the moment he showed his real identity is enough for us to know how he was the one who was lost in the past.

Elaina look at Raye and remembers what happened when she got Raye before. She remembered that Raye is encased in a crystal, preserving him without him growing or dying without a mother. He only resumed growing after he was released from the crystal. Back then, Elaina heard a female’s voice, but that’s it.

Could it possibly be Raye’s mother?

"Although I still don’t know if Raye is indeed the prince that was lost ages ago, I have a question. Does the wife of the Second Son know how to use a magic that allows her to manipulate crystals?"
