Chapter 572: Lost Within the Human World [III]

Elaina scratches her head while staring at the three unknown individuals, looking nervous, and still struggling to free themselves from the silk web that Silk used to trap them. Without Elaina’s intervention, the three would continue to make noise and scream for help, which might cause some problems for the public who happen to pass by on her farm and might get the wrong idea.

"I thought Silk was just watching the surroundings, didn’t think she had made some traps that would capture any intruders that attempted to enter the farm. It is so elaborate that it can determine who is an intruder and who is not. That is too elaborate of a trap with some sort of mechanism behind it. Just how smart is this spider actually?" Yona looks at Silk with interest.

"You can just ask her about it. Even I don’t know how she does that. Anyway, I needed to know what these intruders are doing here. You know, it has been a while since we got intruders for quite some time, that I am surprised that there are new intruders daring to sneak inside the farm," Elaina smiled while her eyes were still locked onto the three suspicious individuals.

"We swear, we are not suspicious at all!" Arlo immediately tries to defend himself.

"You know, that’s what suspicious intruders say whenever they are caught after all. And if you lot are not intruders, then why are you all caught up by the intruder trap that we set up? That is only going to be triggered if the individual is trying to sneak inside the farm; otherwise, that thing wouldn’t even be triggered in the first place," Arthur looks at the three with a frown. He is trying to intimidate them.

"Stop intimidating them, Arthur. It’s not like we needed to have them confess to a crime. I don’t think they did anything. And I can tell from their aura that they aren’t bad people in any way. The only thing that I am not sure of is that they have a different aura compared to others. It was like they were not human to begin with," Raye said without a second thought.

Hearing what Raye said, the three obviously got startled, and they also stopped struggling while looking at Raye in fear.

Elaina looks at Raye after hearing what he said and decides to ask him about it.

"Can you tell me how you can say that they are different and they are not human? Because, from a first glance, they do look like humans. Just wanted to know what you mean that they aren’t humans in the first place," Elaina is curious and not surprised that Raye can do that. After all, this kid is also not a human, and for someone like him, his race alone is capable of doing that. The only thing is that Elaina didn’t train him on it. It seems that he just learned that ability all by himself.

"I don’t know, Mom. I just tried doing what I usually do to determine if they are friendly or not. Based on what I can scan on them, they aren’t hostile to us, just wary and afraid of us. But yeah, that little bit I learned from them is what caused me to detect that they aren’t human in the first place. It seems that what they are hiding in their head is what I am detecting that results to them to be something different from a human."

Elaina returned her gaze to the three and noticed that all three of them had headwraps in their head. It was like they were hiding something intentionally underneath those wraps.

"If you lot don’t mind, can we remove the headwraps on your head?" Elaina asked.

The three looked at each other, and fear immediately appeared on their faces. Then, the bearded guy among the three spoke up.

"You can, as long as you let us go. We don’t want any trouble, and we hope to be at peace. We are not here to cause issues."

She nodded in response. It was a genuine plea from the bearded guy, so she didn’t decline. "Alright. Then, pardon me."

She carefully removes the headwrap from the woman in their group. It was tightly wrapped, as if it was not meant to be removed. However, Elaina still managed to do so, allowing her to unwrap what is underneath the wrap.

Everyone present in the area, besides the three tied to the silk web, is surprised when the headwrap is finally removed fully.

Underneath the headwraps are horns that are growing from their head. The horns are similar to Raye’s horns. The only thing that looks different is that their horns are defined compared to Raye that looks like they haven’t matured yet. The horns on their head are also much bigger as well. No wonder Raye managed to identify them as not humans. Because they aren’t humans in the first place. They are actually part of the Devil Race.

"Raye! They have horns! They are the same as you!" Arthur looks at Raye with surprise.

Even Raye was not expecting to see the three of them bear resemblance to his hidden ancestry. The fact that the three of them have horns is something he didn’t expect to see in the first place. After all, according to Elaina herself, the Devils are currently hiding from the populace due to them being ostracized and condemned for being Devils. He already accepted that fact a long time ago, and yet, for the first time, he saw someone aside from himself that are also part of the Devil race.

As for the three, they didn’t expect to hear that one of the boys from before was the same race as them. After all, he doesn’t have the same aura and traits as a Devil. He doesn’t have a horn growing on his head.

"I don’t believe that kid is the same kind as us. I can’t even detect him as similar to us, and he doesn’t have a horn growing on his head. How can you say that he is the same as us?" Arlo complained. He didn’t like that Arthur was calling them the same race as the boy before them.

Raye sighed and removed the ring on his finger that was suppressing and stopping his real form from showing, allowing himself to remain as a human with the ring on. As soon as the ring is off, all of the suppressed traits that Raye has start to show. His horns appear on his head, his hair starts growing longer, his regular hair color has turned from white to black, and his eyes are now glowing red. His aura as a Devil is much more overwhelming compared to the last time he removed that ring.

"I really didn’t want to remove the ring since it is a hassle to have another haircut every time I activate my latent ancestry, but since you needed proof I am one of the Devils, then here you go. I hope you don’t mind the aura I am letting out. I still can’t control it myself," Raye said.

As soon as the three saw Raye’s original form, they were flabbergasted. After all, they didn’t expect that the one they call fake is someone that they knew.

"No way...no way. We just disrespected the prince! We apologize for our mistakes, Your Highness!" Io tried her best to bow her head despite having difficulty moving from the silk web.

"His Highness is still alive?! That’s the best thing I heard in my life!" Darius also tried bowing but due to his big body and the tight silk web wrapped around his body, he falls over to the ground. Of course, he still bowed down even when he is having difficulty doing so.

"I apologize, Your Highness! I failed to learn your true identity! I am really sorry! Feel free to punish me for my transgressions!" Arlo panicked and also bowed his head as well.

Elaina and the others were confused about what the three were actually doing. Raye is flustered by the sudden actions of the three that he tried to calm them down.

"H-hey, hold on guys. I apologize but I am not a prince or anything. You might be mistaken. I am quite sure I am a regular Devil though..." Raye is not sure on why the three is calling him "Your Highness" so suddenly after revealing his true form.

"We can’t be mistaken, your highness. Your red eyes and your black hair is a sign that you are someone from the royal family. And according to what we know, the one who bears that kind of form is none other than the youngest prince who disappeared after the recent attacks on the Devil Kingdom. You are the lost prince, Your Highness!"

Elaina is not sure how to process this information here. Although she knows that Raye might be someone special, she didn’t expect that his real identity is somehow related to the royalty of the Devils. And Raye is the long-lost Prince.
