Chapter 537: Where’s My Reward?

Before she could realize what she had just said, Leo immediately shifted the topic.

It would be troublesome if Ashira didn’t like Leo killing her brothers and sisters. Since she seemed to have a timid nature, she could very well be kind-hearted... or, in Leo’s words, weak-willed.

As for why Leo asked this, it was simple. Now that they were his beasts, he needed to keep their minds at peace to advance the bond percentages. Not to mention, the Soul Bond with Agnivar was entirely new territory for Leo.

He didn’t know what was detrimental to the taming bond, and he couldn’t risk it in case both Wyverns decided to fly around his spiritual space and ended up stumbling upon the huge mountain of Wyvern carcasses.

I remember the system saying something about 100% attribute sharing at the Soul Bond stage. Looks like I need to somehow progress the percentage to 100% for that.

After that, Leo looked at Ashira.

"What do you prefer to be called?"

"Me? It’s Ashira... Agni gave me that name..."

"Alright. From now on, you are Ashira."

Ashira nodded like a chicken after getting officially named. She seemed to like the name very much, especially since it had been coined by Agnivar.

Meanwhile, Agnivar narrowed his eyes, seemingly trying to gauge Leo’s true soul strength for being able to casually name intelligent beasts.

"Alright, you two. Go inside my spiritual space and figure out your new situation and, from now on, your new life. Meanwhile, there are some matters I need to address."

Saying that, Leo waved his hand, and both Wyverns disappeared into reddish-black streaks of light and shot into his chest.

It was only then that Leo checked both of their talents.

"What the hell are these talents..." Leo muttered in shock as he read through the descriptions.

"No wonder Agnivar said her talent synergizes so well with his!"

"Both seem to draw power from the hoarded supplies they gather... and what’s this? Allies marked by Ashira cannot be burned by flames she is able to influence?"

Leo immediately realized how overpowered this was on a battlefield.

"This ability is so broken! Any flame originating from lower-ranked beings than her will have no effect on the marked allies!"

Leo said that because Ashira had a direct affinity with flames, she could actually take control of any flames in the surroundings if her mastery was high enough, even fire abilities released by other flame users.

The same was true for Naelith.

But the talent description said influenced flames. That meant even if she didn’t directly control the fire, simply trying to influence it would apply the effect.

"Wait... Naelith always has to hold back during group attacks to avoid harming her allies. What if Ashira is with her? Then when Naelith unleashes a large-scale attack, the marked people won’t be hurt at all!"

Leo immediately wanted to copy the talent, but realized Ashira would need to reach the Adolescent stage of intelligence first, so he shifted his attention to Agnivar’s.

"So, the more treasured things I possess, the more strength I gain... perfect."

Leo couldn’t stop smiling.

He had already acquired many natural treasures in this secret realm, and he could immediately check it out.

He immediately copied the talent.

Just as he copied the talent, Leo immediately pulled out his status screen to check for any changes, but there were none.

"What? System, is there any problem? Why am I not getting the attribute boost?" he asked with a frown.

"Oh... Alright," Leo thought.

He was hopeful that, with the many treasures in his spiritual space, he would get a notable boost in strength and, with that, contend with the Infernal Serpent inside the lava crater. But it seemed his hopes had been crushed.

Still, he had already acquired extreme fire resistance with the [Infernal Core] talent copied from Agnivar, so challenging and defeating the Infernal Serpent was highly plausible. He had already made it his end goal before leaving the secret realm to obtain that [Sunblood Pearl].

If he consumed it, he could literally become immune to any flames originating from a 6-star being or lower.

Leo checked the time.

11 hours before he would need to leave the secret realm.

"Shit! I wanted to hunt as many Wyverns as possible, but I need to do other things too."

Leo still needed to capture that red-scaled Lizardman and his family and figure out a way to lure out the Infernal Serpent.

"11 hours... I should still have quite a bit of time after I make my Wyvern kill count cross 100."

Right now, he had 71 Wyvern corpses. He wanted to make it over 100 to remain on the safe side and increase both of his tamed Wyverns’ bloodlines to Royal while also getting a few beast cores for Lily’s backup and disposable spirits.

And so he began.

While Leo was hunting Wyverns inside the secret realm, news had already spread when some Wyverns tried escaping through the misty boundary, only to be killed and sucked away by the dragons.

"I SPOTTED A WYVERN!!!"

"Me too!"

"A WYVERN!"

The first thing people did was hide in safe places in case the Wyverns were there to attack them. When the danger passed, everybody immediately rushed out of the secret realm to inform the authorities of their findings and claim the promised rewards.

"Sir! I spotted a Wyvern in the secret realm!" the man exclaimed before proceeding to give the exact location of the place.

"Now, where is my super bloodline earth beast and Yellow-tier treasure?"
