Calus rubbed his temples and sighed. Fre was really doing too much.

But now she stood in front of him.

His eyes locked onto Lisa. He remembered her.

She was terrifying.

She had killed Fre and sacrificed him. Moments later, he had died as well.

To be honest, he didn't fully understand the organization's plan. But their goal was to nurture the "Keys" ,

special beings like Fre

and then murder them, allowing them to transform back into Keys to summon something.

At least, that was what had happened in his last life.

And the being they were summoning was terrifying. At the very least, it would have destroyed the world.

For the first time, the world had united. Old grudges were forgotten. Resentment faded. Enemies became allies as everyone joined forces to destroy the organization.

But they had too many God Realm fighters.

Everyone was slaughtered quickly.

"Lisa…" Calus called out.

Now that he stood face-to-face with her, he had countless questions.

But when the moment came, he didn't know what to say.

Should he ask why she killed Fre?

Or why she was Fre's twin sister in this life ?

Had she been reborn like him?

Why summon that being? Wouldn't they die as well?

"Calus… you must have a lot of questions. But you are too weak to know the answers. Telling you now brings no benefit only consequences," Lisa said with a smile plastered on her face.

"But what I will tell you is this: you won't stop our plan in this life. And as for Fre… either you kill me, or I kill him."

Lisa walked past Calus as she spoke.

"You—" Calus couldn't hold it in any longer. Terrifying rage boiled within him as he gritted his teeth.

How dare she?

"I might as well kill you right now," Calus said, his face twisted with anger. He moved as he appeared

at her front and grabbed her neck lifting her up the ground.

Lisa wasn't upset.

If anything, she seemed to enjoy it.

"Ah… ah…"

Lisa struggled to breathe as Calus tightened his grip around her neck.

"Don't… forget… I'm his twin… sister…" she forced out, clutching his arm as she gasped for air.

"Leave," Calus said coldly as he released her.

Lisa smiled.

"Oh, thank you, Chosen One," she mocked playfully.

"Don't push me to change my mind," Calus replied, his voice icy.

"Yes, sire," Lisa said as she whistled and skipped away.

Watching her leave, Calus's body trembled with rage.

His aura swelled as cracks spread across the ground beneath him.

Then

Everything stopped.

"Sigh…" Calus exhaled as he gazed at the night sky.

The moon was full, its pale light spreading across the world, bathing everything below in a cold glow.

---

The next day, the competition continued as usual.

Now, whenever someone was matched against Calus, they surrendered instantly.

After all, he was a Gold Realm expert.

Only a fool would challenge him.

As the competition progressed, the number of participants steadily decreased. The remaining opponents grew stronger and stronger.

Alas, both Fre and Lisa were eventually defeated, though they put up impressive fights.

Finally, the finals arrived.

It was Calus versus a masked female who had kept her face hidden throughout the tournament.

"You may begin," the referee announced.

At this stage, the arena had been merged into one massive battlefield, as the Senior League matches would follow soon.

It was more exciting to watch

and far more destructive.

The arena had likely been reinforced several times over. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Before we begin, may I know your name?" the female asked, stepping forward.

Calus raised an eyebrow.

She had remained silent throughout her previous matches, defeating every opponent in a single move. Yet now, in the finals, she chose to speak first.

"Yes. My name is Calus," he replied.

She nodded.

"I am Arie. Please don't hold back."

Slowly, she removed the cloth covering her face.

A pale, flawless face was revealed.

Her beauty was like ice crystals glittering beneath sunlight and blooming beneath moonlight.

Her pupils were white.

Her eyes were white.

The crowd gasped.

They recognized her.

She was from the Northern Continent.

A renowned prodigy.

Now they understood why.

Her aura flared, revealing the peak of the Silver Realm.

"Really? She defeated other peak-level fighters with ease?" someone muttered in shock.

But among everyone present, Calus was the most stunned.

Aside from Mabi, Arie had stood at the frontlines in the last life.

She possessed a terrifying physique that gave her that ethereal appearance.

Some even believed time and space froze around her , perhaps that was why her beauty never faded.

She was like a maiden of snow, frozen in eternity.

"I am honored by your presence, Princess," Calus said, bowing slightly.

Yes.

She had another identity.

She was the Princess of this world.

She had only gone to the Northern Continent to train her physique.

"My fears were right… the competition has truly changed. In my last life, she wasn't here," Calus thought.

"Calus, I hope you won't hold back because of that," Arie frowned slightly.

She didn't care about being a princess.

She had come to exchange techniques, to battle, and to break through her limits.

"No. I won't pull my punches," Calus assured her.

She smiled.

"I thought so."

Around the arena, the elders began whispering.

"The Princess…"

"Won't the King be upset?"

"Shh. That's for the Central Continent to handle."

"No, the Northern Continent is involved too. She should have been kept safe. What if she was attacked?"

"Heh, why do your faces look so tense?" others laughed, enjoying the spectacle.

Across the stands, murmurs spread among the students.

"The Princess is here?"

"Wow… she's even more beautiful than they said."

"So pure…"

"If I could marry her, I'd die smiling."

"Fool. Stop dreaming," someone sneered, smacking Fre on the head.

Back at the arena

"Thank you. I want to test my limits and personally experience the full power of a Gold Realm fighter. My guards always hold back," Arie said with a calm smile.

It wasn't just a statement.

It was a warning.

I have Gold Realm guards.

They don't fight seriously.

You better do so.

"As you wish," Calus replied.

Boom—

The air compressed violently.

The murmurs died instantly.

For the first time, both geniuses revealed serious intent.

Calus had never shown his true strength.

Neither had Arie.

Now, the two monsters clashed.

Who would win?
