The birthday evening was rather mellow, the family gathered and they all wished Symphony, when the young lady saw the car, she was surprised and didn’t dare to accept it until Leo told her to stop thinking of him as a brother since she doesn’t want him to gift her the car.

Snow jeered at the young man for scaring the girl and then she told Symphony to be tough and handle things with confidence. That said, the party came to end when the children were put to bed, and then Leo asked, "What is going on? You look stressed."

Snow replied calmly, "The day for the campaigning are coming to an end, the election week will begin on monday, and then the results would come out."

Leo smiled and said, "Why are you worried about it then? Just follow the wind and it would be fine, have some faith in the people."

Snow sighed, "The people are what scare me, sometimes during the speech they would all turn around to glare at me or even look disinterested, and it is such a mess."

Leo pulled her in his embrace and then massaged her palms, as he said, "You are going out to work and not please the people. There will be many you have opinions different from you, but you need to find the ones that are the most suitable for the nation in the long run and also in the short run. Don’t give them opinions, just ask for suggestions. Litigation is not about giving options but about asking for suggestions and moving about through arguments."

The young lady nodded, and then the couple returned to sleep.

In the morning, Leo finished dealing with his daily chores, and he knew that Snow was also staying home today, so he made some of her favorites as well. Everything went normally for the next few days, and then the elections began. Leo went to the poll with Snow, and the rest of the guards. The entire Cardinal Group was given a day off so they could go and drop the votes.

The whole thing would last for a week; this was the most speculated election in the history of the Monarch Democracy system. Clover Nation had never stated that the Sigil Families would not ab allowed to step into the political scene, but since they never stepped in to grab power, the people all thought it was a rule.

However, all those notions that the people had about how the Sigil Families were to stand on the sideline and only play the pawn in the economics of the country were falling apart, and it was a rather sudden and brutal change.

None had expected that the Sigil families would use this incident where the politicians tried to harm one of them and the rest joined in to turn the tables on the attackers. It was simple, but utterly shocking.

The whole week, the people in the media were running polls and opinions of the various experts was being broadcasted around the place. All the people were talking about the big politicians and the things they have done in the past, and the media was basically selling the politicians to the people.

However, the independent media people handled the publicity for the Sigil Families, none of them were paid and they even gave proofs that this was their job as they wanted the nation to know the truth and that Journalism was not something that depended on the big budgeted studios and mega sponsors.

The week for the prep came to an end and the world watched as the crowd took to the roads and they began to vote for their favored candidates. After two days of voting, under the security of armed guards, the voting data was uploaded from the poll areas to the main server in the Royal Palace.

Yes, the Royal Palace was responsible for the whole thing, and on the evening of the third day, the people of the capital city gathered outside the royal palace. The crowd was so large that the guards took precautions and the snipers were deployed with an air traffic restriction through out the capital. They could never be cautious enough with half a million people of the capital coming out to watch the announcement of the results.

In the evening, just when the sun was about to set, the King came out to the Greeting Balcony. He was followed by the Duke, and the Duchess along with the two heirs. The old man wore his crown and was standing in his royal garbs today, before he raised his hand and the people cheered for him. The man smiled and then gestured for everyone to calm down as he took the mic from an aid. He said, "Tonight, we all have gathered together to witness the power of the people, and their will to work towards a better future. The people have chosen their servants. They have chosen whom they want to represent their will, and I am very happy to invite the representatives of the PLP to have a lunch with me and form a government."

That was it, the people had stopped listening after the words PLP. They all started to howl and clap loudly which caused the King and the rest of the royal family to be surprised, Princess Amare said, "I have never seen the people applaud so much for us."

The old king smiled and replied, "They are cheering for the win that was only possible by their own will. It is the cheer of their desire coming true."

Lily was also watching the news telecast on the TV, and then she turned to look at Snow and Leo who were sitting beside her nonchalantly. The young lady asked, "Are you not happy?"

Snow rolled her eyes and replied, "Do I have the time to be happy when I would be working like a machine for the next one year?"

Lily looked at her mother and asked, "Ma, but you are going to be the prime minister, what are you going to be working on?"

Snow looked at her and replied, "Who told you that I will be the Prime Minister? I am going to take the finance ministry; we need to solve the money and inflation trouble for the people of the nation. The rest of the people have already decided which ministry they want. The Cardinal Family will only have one member in the Central Cabinet, and I will be handling the most important department of the entire cabinet, the money that makes the world go around." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Lily nodded and after a few minutes, she said, "I want a raise in my pocket money."

Snow was shocked, but then she said, "You are not getting money from me, talk to your father."

Lily snorted and turned to look at her father who smiled and shook his head, before he said, "Come, we need to buy your mother some clothes so that she could meet the King and propose the government."

Snow shook her head and said, "I am going to wear my daily wear, they are expensive enough and I don’t want to buy anything new and look too loud. I am a public servant now, not the office tyrant."

Leo raised his brow and asked, "I don’t remember you ever being the office tyrant but fine if you say so."

Snow stood up from the couch and said, "I am going to make some calls, I am sure that the Sigil Union is sweating bullets thinking who the Prime Minister should be since I declined."

Leo shrugged and then he took Lily as the two of them went to the garden and tended to their flowers. Anastasia was on a tour of the nation as they were monitoring things closely now, when she received the news, and Lily took the chance to make a call and then complained how she was denied extra pocket money for candies, and how she wanted to enroll in the foundation care.

The old lady was left speechless, this little girl could basically run Leo bankrupt if she wanted to and the latter would be happy to let her do that, yet here she was having her dose of daily drama.

The next morning, Snow had a meal with her family and said, "I think I will have to stay in the capital for a few weeks, and then you guys might be able to shift over too. In the mean time you can send Clara with me to handle the house set up."

Leo frowned, he didn’t want to leave his own house for a government mansion but then thinking about it he said, "Fine, I will come back here to spend my weekends with the kids if you are busy. I don’t want them to forget this house."

Snow nodded, he took the concession to at least move over temporarily and that was good enough for her.
