Lily stood among the audience, before she sat down beside her father. The Greeting Balcony was visible to the media from the outside, while the people were sitting on the inside could see everyone else. They saw how the middle-aged man, Huston Aries stepped up to take an oath in front of the High Priest and the King before it was turn for someone else.

Lily was looking at Snow who was wearing a suit matching with them, but she had two pins on the lapel unlike Lily and Leo. The young lady was communicating with her mother from a distance using her hands and mouthing words. This was getting captured in the royal journaling cameras but the two of them didn’t care.

Snow was asking Lily if she really wanted a higher pocket money and that if that was the case then she should talk to Leo. Lily on the other hand was blatantly telling her that she was not happy with the reporters coming over to ask her questions and so she just made-up stuff.

Snow shook her head and Lily blew her a few kisses. Leo reached out placed his hand on top of the little girl’s head and turned it to the side slowly as he whispered, "Love, everyone is watching."

Lily giggled and sat down watching the ceremony for a few more minutes, before she said, "Baba, it is all very boring. Can’t we go to and play in the garden?"

The young man smiled and replied, "No, wait for a bit when this is all over, then you would find your playtime."

Lily narrowed her gaze at him and said, "I don’t want play time, I want to read and finish that book."

The young man asked, "What is that book about?"

Lily replied, "The Journal of A cop who solved the serial murders taking place in the Southern Rubial areas."

Harley Aries was sitting beside her, and turned to ask, "Little one, is that about the Cop, INspector Fulham?"

Lily nodded and the two of them began to talk. While Harley told her the situation of the real world at that time, the young miss was telling him what she felt when reading the book, and just then, it was Snow’s turn to stand up before the King and the High Priest to read out her oath.

The young lady was calm and composed, she read the oath letter before the King raised his sceptre and said, "By the will of the Crown, may you thrive."

The lady bowed and stepped away from the centre, before she sat down on the chair beside her husband. Leo reached out and held her hand, holding it calmly. Snow didn’t look at him but her stout posture relaxed slightly. Leo had been a pillar of her world, and his presence alone was enough to make her calm down.

Lily on the other hand was happy talking to Harley Aries about the book, this thing seemed to be going on forever. The ceremony came to an end with the cabinet ministers attending the press conference together and taking on quick questions from the media and also giving some hints on which direction they would be working on.

Then it was all followed by a lunch, the King had joined the people and he was sitting on the main seat with the duke and his family around him. The sigil families were sitting on the tables below, and the lunch began, the atmosphere was rather calm and formal, the only noise that could be heard was from the Cardinal Twins as they played with a few toys on their strollers.

The King smiled and looking at the twins, he said, "All my life, I have wondered what is this all good for. The power, the wealth, and the favor of the people. What was the use of all this? Only looking at the faces of the citizen have I come to understand that it was because we were meant to take the lead and bring all those who trusted us to a better future."

The people nodded and the old King said, "Today, we all have come together to lay the foundation for that better future. And all the people in this room are the ones that I hold close to my heart. The Sigil Families have now been upholding the burden of the same responsibility as the Royal Family for four centuries now. They have seen the world change and been trustful to us all.

So, to honor this moment, I would like to raise a toast to you all, and then confess something as well."

The king raised his wine glass and the rest of the people followed, Lily raised the glass of her juice and then they all gulped down the content in one go, before he said, "I have yet to disclose this situation to the world outside, but I am feeling very down these days, and my age seems to be catching up with me."

The mood of the room turned solemn and the old man continued, "When I leave, I hope that you all help my son carry on beside you, just like you have allowed me the pleasure to be beside you."

The people all raised their glasses and chugged it down before they replied, "Long Live the King!"

They all cheered and the lunch wrapped up without a bump, and the people all boarded their cars to leave and rest for the night. In the morning, Snow would be taking charge of the department and so she would be staying in the capital, but Leo had to make arrangements for Lily to change schools, and although it was something that could only be finalized the next month, but once the procedure had been started, it would give Lily more time to say bye to her friends. And in the meantime, Leo would be able to handle some things at his company as well.

Shifting was not an easy thing, many things at work needed his attention and the company might be a giant but he was still the master.

The night was uneventful, Lily was given a shallow scolding for messing up with the Media and how this could have triggered a controversy, but then she was rescued by Leo, because the young man could not see it going on for so long.

In the middle of the night, Snow woke up from her sleep, she turned around to look and found that Leo was not their and Lily was sprawled over the bed. She looked around with a furrowed brow and found the silhouette of the young man standing in the balcony with his elbows resting on the railing. The balcony gave a proper view of the capital, every street lit up with lamps as if canals of a river were spread around.

Snow walked up and stood beside him before she asked softly, "What happened? Couldn’t sleep?"

Leo smiled slightly as he replied, "No, I woke up abruptly and then couldn’t help but think about how life has turned over for us."

Snow smiled and replied, "Is that a bad thing?"

Leo shook his head and replied, "It is not bad, but with how unpredictable things have become in this world, I cannot help but feel wary of the future."

Snow leaned her head against his shoulder and replied, "Don’t think so much, it would all turn out good in the end. We cannot control everything around us, and similarly we must not let everything control us too."

Leo nodded, they stood silently watching the landscape till the sun came up on the horizon, and just as the light broke the darkness, the young man turned around and walked inside the room because the twins had also woken up with the rest of the world.

Snow sighed and remarked, "It is such a beautiful sight to miss for diapers filled with poop."

The young man smiled as he was crossing the threshold, "Well, I could see you last night, no sight beats that."

Snow blushed a little as she turned to look at his muscled back. The young man took care of the twins, and then he called the room service, asking them to send up three breakfast meal sets after a couple of hours, then he gave the twins the bottle of formula, which they sipped while dazed. He went back to Snow and said, "You take a shower and get some sleep, the breakfast will come in two hours."

Snow smiled at him and asked, "Would you take care of me like this forever?"

Leo shook his head and pulled her in an embrace before he replied, "Forever is too long, but as long as I breath I will try to care for you the best that I can."

Snow tip-toed and said, "Love, you are so sweet sometimes."

Then she kissed him and said, "I have witnessed your oath and you better fulfill it or I will take away the trio and you can keep crying."

Leo chuckled and said, "You naughty."
