Alpha Academy BL
Chapter 171
Louis knew that the cooks wouldn’t let the opportunity pass them by, so he was sent back with at least five different kinds of cake. He was truly worried that Henri just might eat them all so he had made the cooks reduce it to just a slice of each because they had been very willing to send the Prince five whole cakes.
He bumped into Claude on his way back to Henri’s room, the other Alpha clearly heading there as well.
"Is Henri alright?" Claude asked for the second time.
Louis glanced at him meaningfully, unsure of how to respond to this. Henri was just fine, maybe a little too fine from how much he was eating, "I guess."
Claude frowned, "What does that mean?"
"You’ll see for yourself." Was all Louis said, opening the door to Henri’s dorm room after knocking lightly.
Henri was half off the bed when Louis stepped in, only hesitating when he saw Claude behind him. He already had his hands out for the basket before Louis had even gotten close to the bed, his grey eyes the brightest they had ever been.
Louis handed it to him, throwing Claude a look as he did so before getting comfortable on the bed beside Henri again.
Henri immediately had a cake in his hands and was already digging in, his eyes going shrewd only after he had a mouthful of the sweet confectionery. "Is something the matter?" He directed to Claude.
Claude dragged his gaze from Henri’s cream-stained lips, his vacant eyes coming back to life. "Yes, the King of Langen was contacted and he’s immediately riding out but before then, he gave His Majesty useful information on the matter."
Henri was interested in what Claude had to say, he really was but he was having a hard time getting the last piece of cake on his fork. He finally did after a couple of tries, glancing up at the Alpha with a grimace. "What information?"
"It would seem that a fanatic group in his country formed a religion around you," Claude said bluntly.
Henri looked up now, incredulity on his face. "They what?"
Claude touched his dark red hair that was starting to grow out, "They are somehow convinced that you’ll bring about the end of the world."
Henri stopped chewing his cake, disbelief pouring out his eyes. He glanced to Louis and the other looked just as flabbergasted as he was. "On what basis?"
Louis could agree that he couldn’t see how they would believe that Henri could somehow end the world. Especially if they were looking at him right now, his collar was slipping down one delicate shoulder, cream filling on his lips and whipped cream on his cheeks and fingers. He didn’t even look like he could hurt a fly, much more to bring about the end of the entire world.
Claude shrugged, "It might sound ludicrous but they still committed treason nonetheless." He said coldly, "His Majesty will handle the matter so you don’t need to worry much about it."
Henri had no intention of doing that, but he was still trying to wrap his head around why anyone would want to make a religion about him.
Louis also looked troubled, "What’s the guarantee that this won’t happen again?"
Claude slipped his hands into his pants, "There’s none, it’s expected that someone as unique as His Highness would draw the attention of the rest of the world. The country of Langen however will be blacklisted from attending the Academy."
Louis sighed, he supposed that there was nothing that could be done about that. It was likely that the only reason there hadn’t been cases of this in their first year was because Henri’s attendance to the Academy had been a surprise to everyone.
It was only at the Academy that the protection around the crown Prince of Reinhold would be lax enough for an attack to be carried out. But Louis couldn’t find it in him to be worried, he had found out from Dio that Claude was pretty terrifying with a sword in hand.
He glanced at Henri wondering if this troubled him only to find the Omega on his third slice of cake, not even looking to be listening in on their conversation.
He glanced up at Claude who stared without blinking at Henri, and suddenly felt like he was interrupting something.
Claude broke out of his trance, "I have to report to the Head Chancellor’s office again," He said absently, walking off.
Louis hoped that he didn’t walk into the wrong building with how distracted he looked, his attention was taken up by Henri who hiccupped beside him.
Louis glanced at his friend to find him with a small hand clapped over his mouth, his eyes wide open in shock. "Do you... do you want some water?" He offered with a straight face.
He had just been about to suggest that Henri slow down on the cake only to find out that he had gobbled up every last slice. It was really no surprise that he had hiccups with how much he had eaten in such a short space of time.
Henri shook his head, "I’m too full." He mumbled, cheekbones a soft red.
Louis closed his eyes briefly so that he didn’t laugh, Henri looked truly troubled. "That’s fine, just sit ba-"
He was interrupted by another hiccup, it was so loud that Henri’s entire body jolted with it. They both fell silent, just staring at each other in silence until another hiccup broke the silence.
"Do you feel nauseous?" Louis asked in concern when Henri wouldn’t take his hand from his mouth.
Henri shook his head, reluctantly taking his hand away.
Louis handed him a towel to wipe his hands and face with, "Then it’s fine, the hiccups will go away with time." He said kindly, patting his shoulder.
His tummy bulge was more evident now but Louis made no mention of it, nor did he bring up the fact that Henri still had hiccups.
"Do you think that the school will give us class free days until the new week?" Louis asked to make conversation, laying on his back on Henri’s bed.
Henri was propped against the headboard again, feeling like perhaps he shouldn’t have eaten that much but he had no idea what came over him, he was just strangely ravenously hungry that morning.
