Alpha Academy BL
Chapter 172
"Most likely," Henri responded, his hiccups gradually fading away. "The Academy will be too busy dealing with the mess that there’ll be no time for classes."
The dorms were already filling up, the familiar cadence of students’ voices filling the hallways.
There really was nothing to talk about but Louis wanted to keep Henri company - or more like, there were things to talk about but Henri was starting to get drowsy again.
Louis sat up to get a proper look at him, he was buried in his pillows, shirt rucked up to reveal a sliver of pale skin. He felt a twinge of emotion and was suddenly aware of Henri’s sweet scent, Henri must have forgotten to use his scent blockers.
He rose to his feet, there was no need to remain here, he should let Henri sleep some more and instead go keep his boyfriend company.
He pushed the Omega’s tousled black hair out of his face, pressing a hand to his forehead to get a gauge of his temperature. He felt a little warm and had a slight sheen of sweat on his face but that was from eating so much that he got hiccups.
Louis sighed in relief and pulled his hand away, trying not to think too much about how soft Henri’s skin was. He turned around and headed for the door, maybe he should give his boyfriend a kiss or two... or more.
Henri didn’t rouse until noon, he squinted when he did, the bright sun splashing over him. He felt a little bit too warm so he couldn’t go back to sleep, he was starting to feel a little sore from all the sleeping he was doing.
He needed to get up and move around a bit... *A/N: me writing this about Henri knowing that i haven’t left my apartment in days (T♡T)*
... maybe he should go horse riding. It was a nice thought but he knew that the news of his assassination would quickly get round the college and going out would only draw unwanted attention.
It sure must be nice to be normal, Henri couldn’t relate.
He got out of bed to clean up, scrunching up his nose at his cloying sweet scent. Was it him or was it a little bit more annoying than usual?
He had been too sleepy the night before to remember to use his scent blockers, this time he didn’t forget, relieved when the sweet scent faded away.
Now just what was he to do? If things had gone alright, he would have been spending his time in the company of his friends but a bunch of crazy people had to try to kill him because they were convinced that he was a demon simply because he was different.
Henri hadn’t really put a lot of thought into the whys of it, perhaps a glitch in his genetic code? If it happened once, wasn’t it more likely to happen again? Was it possible for females to be born as Alphas then?
So many possibilities... Thinking about them wasn’t going to bring any answers though so he decided to do some reading.
Louis would soon come to get him for lunch so he just had to find something to occupy himself till that time came. And so instead of making a circle with his pillows and curling up inside much like he wanted to, he picked up a fictional story that he had gotten from the college’s library some time ago but hadn’t really gotten the time to read it.
The time passed by faster than he expected but it wasn’t because he had gotten engrossed in the book, as a matter of fact, he had zoned out so often that he hadn’t gotten past the second page.
He tossed the book on his bed, and walked to open the door. His eyes immediately dropped to the red mark high on Louis’ neck, halting his words.
Louis first looked Henri over to make sure that his friend was alright before looking past him to see his messy bed. "Ready for lunch?" He asked, walking in to lay the bed.
"You don’t have to do that," Henri muttered.
"But I want to, plus the way you make a bed makes me want to dig my fingers into my eyes." Louis said flippantly, straightening out the sheets and arranging the pillows with ease.
"That’s very flattering," He said dryly.
Louis patted the impeccably made bed before straightening up, "Let’s go eat."
The dining hall was filled with loud conversation which gradually lessened when Henri walked in, all eyes on him. They were waved over by Errol who was already seated with the rest, Alexander and Claude surprisingly nowhere in sight.
Errol immediately offered the empty seat beside him to Henri, he had already fussed over the others, Henri was the only one he was yet to see.
"Are you alright?" He asked in deep concern, taking Henri’s hand.
"Never better," Henri said, his eyes sparkling at the sight of food - he was hungry again.
Errol rather expected this, he chuckled softly, letting him go. For someone who looked very delicate, Henri was rather sturdy, he was definitely far better than Valentin who had been in a gloomy mood all morning.
His brother was better now, if he fighting with Audie over who would get the leg of the roast duck was any indication. It was odd to see the two of them fighting again, recently it had been Audie and Jacques doing all of the fighting but the short-haired Alpha just had a peaceful conversation with Nael.
Audie was always involved in every fight and argument, wasn’t he?
He attention was pulled from the two bickering Alphas to Henri by his side who was literally wolfing down his food. His expression dropped from his face so fast. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Now while Henri wasn’t exactly a picky eater, he always ate with decorum and grace, and in portions that fit his physique. What was with his appetite this today?
"Would you like more soup?" He found himself offering, it was always nice to see someone eat with so much gusto and freely without abandon.
Plus Henri was cute when he stuffed himself, his cheeks puffed out like balloons and his lips were pouty.
