Alpha Rejected His True Luna
Chapter 33: Let Him Jump Into My Pants Without A Second Thought
"What about me? Won’t they ask what I got you?" I stood up from the couch and turned to him.
Alpha Kane sat up straight. "What about you?"
"You need to get a gift from me too, otherwise they’ll think I’m just a gold digger." I knew how it worked among humans. Women who only took were considered as such and were not respected, and I did not want people to think that of me.
The corners of his lips lifted teasingly.
"You?" Alpha Kane asked shamelessly, causing my nostrils to flare.
’This was another of his tests, watching carefully to see if you would flare up or remain calm.’ Nova amused.
"I guess you’ll never know, it’s just an act." I squared my shoulders, watching his reaction, tapping my foot on the floor.
Alpha Kane shook his head mockingly, his perfect hair moving in time, and snorted before saying,
"Just to be clear, I don’t mind, as long as they’re good in bed."
My ears were burning from his words, while Alpha Kane seemed unmoved by his words, as if it were a normal conversation.
Armanda’s appearance put an end to this awkward conversation, and his attention turned to her.
We thanked her and hugged, and she wished us well.
We soon left her boutique, and Alpha Kane walked me to his car, where Olphie was waiting. As soon as we got in, the car drove off.
I turned to him expectantly, and his gaze darted in my direction.
"I’ll bring you a gift," I said firmly.
Alpha Kane’s curiosity about me peaked. "If that’s what you want, but I don’t need it."
I tucked back a stray strand of hair.
"That’s fair, I’m not the one who just takes."
It didn’t feel right to be just a recipient. I wasn’t like that, and I couldn’t even pretend. Alpha Kane had spent a pretty penny today, the dress alone costing about $30,000. Even though Alpha Kane was rich, it took a lot of generosity to spend money on someone else.
"Like I said, I wouldn’t mind. The contract already stated that I would pay for all your clothes and accessories, not the other way around."
Alpha Kane wasn’t wrong, but I had already made up my mind. I opened my mouth again. Noticing this, I decided to change the subject before he could.
"Want something to eat?" The change in subject made me remember that I hadn’t eaten lunch. My stomach was empty.
"Yes, please!" I never turned down food.
Alpha Kane’s hand rested on his toned thigh as he asked.
"What would you like?"
"Can we have Bergers?" I didn’t know why, but I wanted them so badly.
"Of course! Eat whatever you want, I will double your training." Alpha Kane told the driver to take us to a takeout fast-food place.
Asshole ordered food for me to eat in the car, and I noticed that he hadn’t ordered anything for himself.
"You’re not going to have anything?" I asked.
"I’m on a strict diet, as you well know. I only get one day off. Today is not it," Alpha Kane replied simply, drumming his fingers on his tight jeans and tight legs.
My order arrived and I placed it on my lap. Taking a long piece of bread, I dipped it in chocolate sauce and offered it to him first.
"One little bite wouldn’t hurt."
But the arrogant CEO just shook his head and refused to eat.
We drove off the pack as soon as I finished eating. Before I could get out of the car, Alpha Kane intervened, holding out his hand.
"If you need any more clothes, shoes, or accessories, use this card." He handed me his credit card. Taking it from him, I gave Alpha Kane a polite smile, knowing it was useless to argue, but I wasn’t going to use it.
"Thank you! For today."
He simply replied, "Nothing."
"Good night, sir." Olphie closed the door and walked me home.
As usual, the car stood there until I walked into the apartment and the door closed behind me.
"Today was the best day of our lives," Nova told me.
"I know you enjoyed Gris’s company."
"You won’t tell Sofia all this?" Nova suggested.
"Why not? I’ll call her now." I dialed Sofia’s number.
"You’re not going anywhere until you tell me what Alpha Kane wanted from you." Sofia’s voice came, and I thought about just telling her the whole truth about what Kane and I had been doing.
"We can trust Sophia," Nova nodded happily. "We can trust Dad, too, but he doesn’t need to know about Kane and me."
"She’d fall over if she knew the whole truth." I chuckled and shook my head.
"Give the poor girl a heart attack." Nova giggled and shook her head.
With a tired sigh, I let out a very long story. I told Sophia about each encounter with Alpha Kane and how my body responded to his touch.
"Oh, my goddess..." Sophia’s mouth dropped open halfway through my story and stayed that way until the very end.
I nodded sadly. "I’m just as bad as Cassie. Jumping from Alpha to Alpha."
Sophia shook her head, and the lump of guilt that had been clenching me to my stomach dissipated. "Not at all. Alpha Kane was the one initiating all these encounters. Sure, you were disobedient, but you never seduced Alpha Kane and never wanted to shop with Alpha’s money."
"Damn, he seems to like it as much as I do." I shook my head.
"Are you sure you don’t have any romantic feelings for him?" Sophia frowned.
"Nothing. Just for fun? Not at all." I frowned, "I don’t know anything about this guy. All I know is that he’s incredibly hot and I’d let him jump into my pants without a second thought."
"What are you planning on doing? When do you find your mate at the bar?" I frowned.
"Of course I’ll be with my mate, but until then I plan on doing what I want." Sophia chuckled humorlessly.
"What if Alpha Kane finds his mate before you do?" Sophia frowned, "Can you really let him go?"
"I will." I nodded, "I’m not going to get my heart broken again. Whatever’s going on between Kane and me is purely physical."
After an interesting and slightly depressing conversation with Sophia, I cancelled the call.
