"She has fallen asleep already. It will be interesting in the future when she learns of you wanting to send them back to live on the street or kill them. I wonder if she will continue to cling to you," Aurora said as she fixed Tara’s hair. "For someone who is not a fan of humans in your gates, you sure are comfortable with her."

"I thought it would be rude to toss her from the cliff. It is time you take her off of you," Vincent said, tired of the little one hugging his torso. On his wedding day, he imagined someone clinging to him but not like this. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"No," Aurora shook her head. "I don’t want to wake her before we are back. Besides, this is good practice for the children you want."

"I am interested in our children, not the ones Derek picked up from the side of the street. And I hope it is not children that I only want. I hope you are prepared for tonight. I shall not let you go until I feel I have successfully gotten you pregnant."

Aurora blushed, looking down at Tara to make sure her eyes were still closed. "You can’t tell if that happens," she replied.

"Then I will not let you go."

"As exciting as that sounds, I have things to do outside of bed. If we are meant to have children it will happen when the time is right. For now, we should enjoy, you know," Aurora hinted, not wanting to say the words in case Tara was awake but keeping her eyes closed. "I want us to have children but I do not want to see you disappointed if there is no good news."

"Then we can take our time as you want and let it be a surprise. It will give us a little time to enjoy our time alone. The world seems even more dangerous when you bring children into it."

"It does but from what I have seen over the years, they bring a special light to it. When they are not crying of course. I look forward to what they will be like. With a father as the werewolf alpha and a mother created by the moon Goddess. They will be quite special. Special will bring enemies," Aurora said, biting her lips as she worried about the future.

It made her end up without memories and living with people she thought were her family. Aurora never wanted to cage up her children like how her life was in the forest with Artemis to keep them protected but she didn’t want them to go out into the world to be used. She could only hope that they inherited nothing from her.

Vincent wrapped his free arm around Aurora’s shoulder and pulled her close. "You are already acting like a worried mother. Do not stress over the future, Aurora. They will be fine. Focus on your wedding day," he said as the new gates came into view.

"I cannot stop now that I have started," Aurora sighed.

She tried her best to let her worries go now that they were back home. As the carriage passed through what would be the old gates, Aurora was surprised by how many people were waiting for their return with what looked to be gifts and flowers in their hands.

It wasn’t that long ago that she came here with Vincent after the harvest moon festival that they were distant and not trying to get to know her. Now many stood smiling and waving with their bodies decorated with the familiar markings from when one of their own was getting married. She planned to do her best to make them warm up to her slowly but it seemed like the wedding changed their minds.

"All I had to do to make them like me was to get married to you. I should have flaunted my moon marking more often to show them that we were technically always married," Aurora said.

"They cannot ignore now that your rank has risen. The women will flock to your side as you now rank over them. A long road ahead of you starts now as their luna. If anyone disrespects you, you can punish them without coming to me and you will sit beside me at trials. That is if you want. You are not used to these duties so-"

"No, I will join you. Marrying you means that I accept half of your responsibilities. The responsibilities are not what is strange but the fact they will all be nice to me now. I look forward to the change," she replied, looking out the window at everyone ready to see her and Vincent.

Instead of going back to Vincent’s home, the carriage stopped a little distance after the gates so they could get out and greet everyone who came to see them.

Aurora took Tara from Vincent to save her from the chaos that would be surrounding him. Though everyone came to greet them as newlyweds, she was wrong about them coming to see her too. Most of the crowd rushed to Vincent’s side, while a small group of women came to her and were careful not to startle Tara. To them, it was more important to meet the new luna first to create a strong relationship rather than going to the alpha.

As Jane arrived first, she left Abigail with Derek and pushed through the crowd of women to take Tara from Aurora. If Tara continued to rest, Jane would regrettably have to call the day short as she would return home. There was no one else but Derek she could trust to keep the little one.

Aurora passed Tara to Jane and tried her best to keep up with the compliments and questions being thrown at her. She could only imagine how Vincent must be since he had excellent hearing and it would only be a matter before he would snap.

"Luna, you need to come with us to receive your markings. It is time for the true celebration to start," a woman Aurora had never met before said, pulling her away from where she stood.
