Chapter 117: Chapter 102: The Curtain Rises!

"Depriving soul spirits... blood sacrifice to the Abyss..."

The gentle voice echoed through the magnificent corridor, as sticky blood plasma surged from the darkness, transforming into a flowing river.

Eleanor’s expression was somewhat grave as she halted her steps, gazing into the deep, scarlet depths of the corridor.

Prince Ryan was just ahead, and the path to the deepest part of the dungeon wasn’t supposed to be long, but no matter how far she walked, the bloody corridor before her remained endless.

The space of the Royal City’s sewers had been completely polluted, the originally old and grimy gray bricks had been replaced with the royal palace’s intricately carved walls.

The so-called ’imprisonment’ was a joke from the start, as Prince Ryan had never left his Lion’s Heart Throne.

At the moment when the Prince personally cut open the old king’s heart with a knife and fork, and devoured it, the fruits of power had long been plucked into his pocket.

Whispers surrounded her, the surface of the walls sprouted numerous eyes, rooted in the depths of the carvings, staring intently at the intruder’s figure.

With the spread of the Blood Plague, the pollution had grown to the point where it was visible to the naked eye!

Countless frenzied knowledge instantly drilled into Eleanor’s mind, yet silently faded under the Doragon people’s naturally resilient will.

Eleanor carefully examined the anomaly before her.

As an experienced Chaos Pirate, the characteristics of the Abyss’s Celestial Calamity were nothing new to her.

The blood plasma and eyes were merely the surface of the calamity; the true danger lay in the abstract concepts of ’endlessness’ and ’profoundness’.

Should one be entangled in the spatial facade, adventurers would become lost in the never-ending world, never to find relief for their souls.

"A devotee of the Celestial Calamity who can master spatial manipulation, it seems that person is deeply favored by the calamity..."

Eleanor muttered to herself as she retrieved a meticulously crafted box of ammunition from her bosom, the platinum sheen of the treasured bullets exuding an enchanting glow.

These are high-grade goods she acquired from Golden Bay!

Since ’distance’ is meaningless, she’d act directly upon ’space’ itself!

"Such a petty trick can’t stop me!"

Eleanor’s lips curled into a cold smile; as the King of Pirates who frequently roamed the Gray Realm, she was long accustomed to breaking through dire situations.

The beautifully designed revolver cylinder spun rapidly, and she unhesitatingly aimed at the largest eye on the wall’s surface, firing three shots in quick succession!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The platinum bullets embedded in the wall erupted in layers of ripples, space shook violently, and the immovable wall was torn open by a dominant force, revealing a massive hole.

Stepping forward, Eleanor found yet another eerie corridor outside, as though worlds had been pieced together.

But there was a subtle change in the corridor before her.

Prince Ryan’s laughter grew closer, and the candlesticks on either side of the path burned with a menacing bloody glow.

The wall carvings also transformed, depicting figures and faces of successive Lion Heart Kings, their eyes open, expressions and movements in constant eerie flux.

The even more terrifying pollution surged forward, and Eleanor personally witnessed the past sins of each king.

One gruesome bloodshed crime after another surfaced in her mind’s depths, while the frenzied knight soul spirits hovered around her.

The knights long deceased in history seemed to once again raise their blades around Eleanor.

Yet the King of Pirates’ lips twisted into a mocking curve.

Ever since experiencing the star-led adventure in the Gray Realm under Roland’s lead, these embryonic calamity forms now had no impact on her mind whatsoever.

What others saw as cruel and terrifying murderous acts simply seemed like absurd circus performances to Eleanor, accustomed to licking blood from the blade tips.

Eleanor disregarded the soul spirits, scanning her surroundings, and with a pained heart, continued loading bullets into her revolver’s cylinder.

The Black Wing had sunk into the Gray Realm, and she had joined Lord Roland in the Deep Sea starlit skies to deal with that massive entity, leaving her finances nearly depleted...

These bullets were her last high-grade reserves, ordinarily, Eleanor wouldn’t part with a single one, since each platinum bullet cost at least ten Bright Gold Coins.

Yet in the end, she ruthlessly decided to splurge this once.

Sigh... who told her she could sleep peacefully in Ark Country?

Eleanor was not a sentimental Doragon, nor one that pursued Justice.

But as she thought of the luxurious little villa she’d placed in Seagull City, the weightlessness she could experience, sleeping whenever she pleased and waking to a feast, Eleanor’s heart surged with boundless motivation.

Whoever dared to touch her reverse scale would damn well die!!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The treasured bullets blasted apart the clawing depictions of the kings, Eleanor coldly twisted the cylinder, and finally, the end of the corridor came into her view.

Eleanor furrowed her brow.

She saw people gathered in a spacious, dim hall.

Attendants were tirelessly busy, ministers sat at the banquet table in a frenzy, the crystal chandelier refracting a ghastly red gleam, the atmosphere at the banquet table was fervent.

Turning her head, Eleanor saw some small children with their eyes tightly shut, lying in stupor in the corners of the hall.

The daughter of the prostitute was among them.

The royal chefs oversaw the drowsy children.

Prince Ryan sat in the center of the banquet table. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

He was bowing his head, whispering softly to the head of the Princess placed beside him.
