The other teammates who had gone for training with Chu Miao and Ye Xuan went out one after another and advanced.

The one with the lowest cultivation managed to advance to the peak of the golden core.

Others such as Chu Hao and Ye Xuan’s brothers all were in the nascent soul now. Chu Hao even advanced to the middle stage of nascent soul.

He was now the most powerful cultivator after his sister and brother-in-law.

Li Pan was the weakest of the younger generation there now at the peak of the golden core.

"Now that everyone has advanced, let’s go out and take a look." Grandpa Chu suggested.

The others were also in agreement so Chu Miao took them all out.

When they appeared in the apartment, they almost filled it up.

"There is no need for a large-scale meeting, how about we just call a few people to come here and explain what is happening?" Grandpa Chu suggested.

The others walked to the windows to check what was happening outside and saw nothing.

"Why is there no wind at all?" The second daughter-in-law of the Li family asked in confusion.

The others also had furrowed brows wondering if Chu Miao had been pulling their legs.

However, they knew for sure that she wasn’t someone who would joke about something like that.

So, what exactly happened?

"Yes, where did all that hauling wind go?" Murong Yi asked in confusion as well.

"Indeed, it nearly carried me away when I went out to advance and now there is nothing. As if it had all been an illusion." Li Kun muttered under his breath also.

"So, you are saying that there was really such wind and now it’s gone?" The second son of the Li family asked.

"Yes, Daddy. There was indeed a lot of wind. Your precious daughter was almost overturned by it." Li Pan jumped in to answer her father.

"Then it can only mean that it’s not constant. There is probably an interval at which it comes and goes." The second son of the Li family said.

"Then it’s not as bad as it looks." Butler Cheng chimed in.

Everyone felt that it makes sense.

However, Chu Miao had a nagging feeling that things weren’t that simple.

How could a disaster in the apocalypse be so lenient on them?

As they were talking, Chu Hao came back with four other people.

One was Yang Leo, who had basically become the administrative representative of the entire sect.

He was also involved in the research of devices that could make life easier in the apocalypse.

The other person who came was Yin Wei. He was part of the first group to join the sect. A member of Qi Long’s elite squad.

He was a speed-type superpower user but lacked a spiritual root.

So, he was unable to start cultivating.

The other person who came was Professor Song. It was Professor Tang who was supposed to come but Professor Song insisted on wanting to see his idol.

The last person was Commander Shen, who had permanently moved to the sect.

After eating food and drinking water filled with spiritual energy, Commander Shen had actually awakened a spiritual root.

Even though it was the lowest quality that would be frowned upon in the cultivation world, here it was much better than nothing.

After his spiritual root awakened, he was given a healing pill that healed all his hidden injuries and optimized his body.

However, it still took him over two weeks to draw spiritual energy into his body and he had just advanced to Qi refinement stage one not long ago.

Even though it was nothing compared to geniuses like Chu Miao and the little Zhao Ji, it was still many times better than ordinary people.

Moreover, as long as he had crystal cores, especially the purified ones, he could cultivate every day.

He could increase his lifespan and serve his country even after the apocalypse ended.

"Eh! You guys have gotten so much stronger." Yang Leo said. Pushing his glasses up his nose.

He still resembled a scholar even now.

"Yeah, our seclusion this time paid off." Li Kun said smugly, causing the others to shake their heads in amusement.

He liked showing off so much.

Everyone went to the living room and sat down.

The sofas were not enough, so those with space rings took out their own chairs to sit on.

"Commander Shen, we want to know what has been going on these past few days we were in seclusion. It seems that the world has changed again." General Chu spoke first.

"Indeed, general. Things have changed. Those rats that filled every inch of the ground seem to have vanished into this air overnight. The next day, winds started howling and taking debris with them. It’s so strong that it can uproot large trees without a problem." Commander Shen explained briefly.

"Yes. But in those four hours, those mutated animals that had disappeared and a huge number of zombies come out to hunt as if instructed by someone. It’s so bizarre. Yet we haven’t found a way to deal with them." Yang Leo explained.

Chu Miao nodded. She had been right. Nothing was simple.

In the apocalypse, no disaster came alone.
