I didn’t hesitate to voice my doubts.

“Why am I the only one getting saddled with such a big responsibility?”

“Because with great power comes great responsibility.”

“Since when was handing out penalty points ‘great power’?”

“Isn’t that about the most authority you can have at school?”

Lee Cheonghyeon mimicked the expression of an old and tired teacher, tapping my shoulder with a ruler.

“I think hyung would suit being a Moral Education teacher too, what do you think?”

“How about a three-tone t-shirt for the outfit? It’s my school teacher’s favorite clothes.”

“There are tons of those in Dongmyo. Shall I go buy one?”

Jeong Seongbin, Lee Cheonghyeon, and Kang Giyeon pushed me relentlessly.

Was an ordinary teacher not an option? Like an art teacher or music teacher whom you didn’t see often.

Despite expressing strong opposition, I became the Technology teacher. It seemed the time had come to show off the sawing skills honed during practice hours.

“Let’s ask for... slightly prettier clothes. With added details.”

At my words, the guys excitedly turned on Dotion. I just hoped the dedicated team wouldn’t hate me too much.

Fortunately, the dedicated team didn’t hate me.

Rather, everyone burned with enthusiasm. The Dotion notification window exploded.

Jukyung

[@Iwol How did you end up as the Technology teacher?]

Iwol

[@Jukyung I don’t know the reason either.]

Though called the terrifying head of the student department, I had no intention of actually yelling on stage. Because what Spark wanted to show was a slice of joyful school days.

Once I uploaded the reference videos, it felt like I’d climbed a huge mountain. And the mountains left to cross were 170.08 million peaks. There was a long way to go.

Won Chaehee was a little burnt out on fangirling. Ever since IAD, the fandom had been stirred up from all sides.

Even though she wasn’t the type to speak up at the front, the fatigue was real. It had already been over ten days since she’d logged into her private account.

She knew it wasn’t Spark’s fault. But the ugly reality of it all left her disillusioned.

Since she loved them, she diligently edited and uploaded photos, but shouldn’t something be done about her humanity disappearing from her life?

“At least I can heal by looking at the kids...”

The biggest reason she kept supporting Spark was that Spark never ignored their fans’ efforts and never half-assed their actual work.

Spark wasn’t one of those "we do everything for you, so why are you like this" groups. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Just looking at a few famous fan-tube videos......

≫ Spark really lives diligently

Making me reflect on my lazy self

≫ The kids are really diligent about saving money

To follow their example, I turned off data and watched via subway Wi-Fi

└ Isn’t it usually the other way around?

......Comments like that were commonly seen.

And that wasn’t all. In the idol scene where issues of "dead fish eyes" popped up every other day, Kim Iwol’s quotes were constantly added and circulated in all sorts of communities.

≫ Textbook of Idols, Kim Iwol Quotes (Revised Edition)

[NEW!] No matter how long we wait, we don’t wait as long as our fans. Even our families don’t watch our commute every day.

[NEW!] There are many idols people can like, but those who like us are all Sparklers.

└ What’s with the revised editionㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Is it really a textbook?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

└ We should probably call it a law book instead of a textbook now

└└ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

└ Minister of Idols and Ambassador of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Great Teacher Iwol compiles textbooks every time, but why are there twisted guys who just go "Ah really?" without reading them?

└└ The updates are too frequent so they can’t keep up

└└└ Teacher has been saying "no fans, no idols" since last year.

This was the reason why Won Chaehee, who used to quit easily when fangirling became tiring after years of being a homma, couldn’t easily leave Spark. Because what pissed her off was the surrounding situation, not her idol.

So today too, Won Chaehee wrote an application for the audience of "Idol Annals of the Dynasty". For Won Chaehee, who had "big data on what writers like in audience applications", coming up with a few lines of a story was easy.

She didn’t get why they didn’t prioritize fan club members, and she didn’t get why they even took applications for something that wasn’t radio... but if she wanted to see Spark’s face even once, she had no choice but to write obediently.

They wouldn’t run Spark’s concert like this later, right? Checking Spark in the supported group section, Won Chaehee desperately prayed that UA wouldn’t learn strange things.

A few days later, Won Chaehee received a text confidently announcing her acceptance and audience schedule. Won Chaehee’s camera bag, always ready to go, welcomed its owner.

The outdoor queue in the middle of a July day was terribly hot. They tried to make a line in the shade, but the narrow passage with not a breath of wind and the heat radiating from surrounding walls or steel plates boiled people thoroughly.

Waiting to get a number ticket, waiting after getting a number ticket, waiting for the voting device test after entering, and now having to wait for the recording to start...

A wait worse than going to the bank during lunch hour dominated Won Chaehee. Even though she had become accustomed to long waits to the point of being sick of it, she couldn’t erase the feeling that she was throwing time on the ground.

At least when Yur and Polo came out, some life returned to her body. Once, Won Chaehee liked them quite a bit, too. If they hadn’t spouted nonsense about opening a new era of K-pop as a boy group surpassing Hellas in MYTH, she might still have loved them.

Why are you trashing ◈ Nоvеlіgһт ◈ (Continue reading) the pioneers who already opened the new era alone? This was the last words Won Chaehee left on her private account before deleting it.

"How many years ago was that already."

Since she didn’t even know that Parte, the junior group she had opposed fiercely, actually debuted, it must have been quite a while ago.

After fighting fans to the bitter end, MYTH’s junior group project kept collapsing over and over. After years of flailing, they finally managed to debut Parte. At that point, it was almost going to be a nephew group instead of a junior group.

"So why did you have to make a self-destructive move......"

Trying to piggyback a new group onto a successful one was an age-old tradition of big agencies. Naturally, fans of the leading runners didn’t welcome this behavior.

≫ It’s practically our kids who built the MYTH building, why are there so many bastards trying to put their spoon on the table f*ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I am so pissed, you think this a large bowl bibimbap restaurant? Everyone be taking a scoop

└ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋLarge bowl bibimbapㅋㅋㅋㅋ

└ Older fandoms always act like this...... why is the script always the same? I’ve never seen a fandom that didn’t say "our kids built this building"

└ I paid for at least one window << this oneㅋㅋㅋ You guys, your influence isn’t that big... do some self-reflection.

└└ Why, you ask? Because that’s a fact, you bch...... If not for Hellas, MYTH idols with less than 7 years would still have to be in the basement practice room......

└└└ I mean why is that all thanks to Hellas;; From Lims to girl group line, everyone did well, and Parte won Rookie of the Year right after debut

└└└└ Uh, without Hellas, your oppa couldn’t even tour overseas^^ There were cases of doing overseas performances once or twice, but Hellas was the first in Korea to tour multiple countries. Bringing in high-priced actors without knowing their place and almost going bankrupt due to ^contract money^ was all covered by Hellas world tour profits. If not for that, late runners wouldn’t have gotten push or debut

└└└└└ What’s with the comment saying the money I spent isn’t even worth one window......? Maybe it just looks that way because you fangirl on a budget...?

└ Let’s ignore below here. Don’t feed the trollsㅇㅇ

Thinking that Spark might face this situation someday made her stomach churn. If UA ever lost its mind and tried to debut a junior group, she’d want to send protest trucks immediately.

However, the absurd event came faster than expected, without warning.

"Isn’t Parte’s concept too similar to Spark’s last time?"

Before the agency had even moved, another agency was basically sticking its leg out and asking to hitch a ride on the same bus.

The atmosphere on site wasn’t great. There was no reason for the audience atmosphere to be good in a survival program.

However, it wasn’t terribly bad either. Thanks to the first episode not airing yet, there were no hurt feelings between each other.

Although the fandoms of Parte and Spark, who had war of nerves since Season 1, desperately treated each other as invisible, perhaps the production team thought a dog fight might break out, so they placed the fan seats for each cheering group as far apart as possible, so there was no encounter except when entering.

She let the program introduction go in one ear and out the other. Since the explanation would come out on broadcast anyway, it was important to capture the stage with her eyes as much as possible now.

"......Second team, please come out!"

After sending off the ordinary first stage, it was the new group’s turn. Won Chaehee leaned forward, clapping politely. Cheers erupted from Parte’s fan section right in front of the stage.

Seeing Parte’s figures walking out in a swarm, she didn’t do something mannerless like withdrawing applause. The old saying—a fan is the face of their singer—was etched into her bones.

However, this feeling didn’t last long.

"What the hell?"

Sparklers who saw Parte murmured in small voices. A staff member raised a finger, signaling them to be quiet.

No, but seriously.

"It’s too similar to Spark."

When Spark had covered Parte’s song on stage, they’d done a volleyball-themed performance of 『Desire』, splitting into 3-on-3 teams with their outfits.

And the Parte in front of her eyes were wearing complementary colored gym clothes in groups of four. It seemed to be a concept like an inter-school match.

But what did it matter whether it was pro athletes or school teams?

What mattered was that they’d done a similar concept! on the same episode! Wearing similar outfits, right after the other side had done it before!

No one opened their mouths further for fear of being kicked out of the audience seats, but it could be felt in the air. Sparklers were furious.

"It’s quite different from what Parte has shown so far. Is there a reason for attempting a new change?"

"We didn’t have many opportunities to show experimental stages, so we want to show fans the diverse aspects of Parte through this opportunity!"

So why showing your fans copying Spark...

Anger surged. The bitterness of the past when she loved Hellas seemed to return.
