Baby System: I'm the Beast World's Only Hope!
Chapter 492: Episode 490: Welcome to my Unhinged Life.
Roxy took her very last step onto the soft white rug at the end of the long aisle.
The sweet, gentle music slowly faded away until the indoor garden was completely, peacefully quiet. The bright sunlight poured through the glass ceiling, shining down on the altar like a warm spotlight.
Standing right in front of her were her six gorgeous men.
Torian, Syris, Kaelen, Caspian, Ren, and Zarek looked like absolute gods in their perfectly tailored black suits. They were the most handsome, powerful men in the entire world, but right now, they didn’t look scary or tough at all. Their eyes were red from crying, and their faces were filled with so much pure love that it actually made the air in the room feel warm.
There was no human priest standing at the front. There was no judge to read them the rules. They didn’t need anyone else to tell them they belonged together. This was just about them and the deep, unbreakable promises they were about to make.
Roxy stood in the middle of the circle they made for her.
Torian was the first to step forward. The massive white tiger reached out with his big, shaking hands and gently took Roxy’s small hand. He looked down at her, big tears still shining in his bright blue eyes.
"Roxy," Torian whispered, his deep voice cracking. He didn’t use big, fancy words. He just spoke straight from his big, beating heart. "I used to be a wild beast in the jungle. I thought I needed to be scary to be strong. But you taught me that the strongest thing a man can do is love completely. I promise to be your shield. I promise to build you anything you want, and I promise to always make you smile, even on your saddest days. You are my absolute everything."
Roxy smiled, a happy tear rolling down her cheek. She squeezed his big hand tight.
Next, Caspian stepped up. The sweet Sea King took her other hand, his thumb rubbing softly over her knuckles.
"My beautiful Matriarch," Caspian said softly, his voice sounding like a calm, peaceful wave. "I left the giant, deep ocean behind to come to this loud city. But I am not sad about it at all, because looking into your green eyes is better than looking at the clearest sea. I promise to wash away your sadness. I promise to be your calm water when the world gets too noisy. I will love you forever and ever."
Then came Ren. He stood in front of her, his beautiful violet eyes filled with total devotion.
"I used to dance and fill the house with illusions," Ren said quietly, his voice full of absolute honesty. "But you were the one who healed my heart. I promise to be your soft place to land every single night. I promise to hold you when you are tired, to dance with you, to listen to you when you need to talk, and to make sure you never, ever feel pain alone again."
Roxy wiped a tear from her cheek. The vows were so raw, so emotional, and so incredibly honest that she could barely breathe.
Syris stepped up next. The elegant Swamp King looked at her like she was the most precious jewel in the entire universe.
"In the old world, I was never loved by my family," Syris confessed, his voice smooth but shaking with heavy emotion. "I thought ruling a dark swamp was the only way to live. But you brought me into the light. I promise to use my mind only for you now. I promise to build a brand new kingdom just for you right here in this loud city. No one will ever hurt you. You are my one and only Queen." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Kaelen took his turn. The former King of the North had completely melted. His icy blue eyes were warm and bright.
"I lived in the forest my whole life," Kaelen whispered, looking deep into her eyes. "I was cold, and I was lonely, my tribe was dying. But the very first second you looked at me, you brought the summer sun into my heart. I promise to always keep you warm. I promise to hold your hand when you are scared, and to protect your beautiful soul until the end of time."
Finally, Zarek stepped right in front of her.
The great Dragon King didn’t just take her hand. He wrapped his big, calloused hands gently around both sides of her face. He looked down at her, his golden eyes completely bare. There were no walls left between them.
"Roxy," Zarek rumbled, his deep voice vibrating right into her chest. "I gave up my inner dragon to cross the dark space and find you. But I would give up the sun, the moon, and all the stars in the sky just to stand here with you today. You are my fire. You are my reason for breathing. I promise to protect you, to cherish you, and to love you with every single beat of my human heart, for as long as I live."
Roxy let out a messy, happy sob. She was crying so hard, but she had never felt so much joy in her entire life.
All their first meetings flashed before her eyes, and tears spilled down her eyes threatening to ruin her makeup.
It was time for the rings.
They didn’t use giant, heavy rocks or flashy diamonds. Syris reached into his pocket and pulled out a beautiful, simple gold band. He handed it to Zarek.
Zarek held her left hand very gently. He slid the warm gold ring onto her finger. It fit perfectly. Then, Roxy picked up six simple gold rings from a small velvet box on the altar. One by one, with shaking hands, she slid a ring onto each of their fingers.
The circle was finally complete. They were totally, legally, and beautifully married.
Zarek didn’t wait another second. He wrapped his massive arms right around her small waist, pulled her flush against his chest, and leaned her back just a little bit. He brought his lips down and kissed her.
It was a massive, passionate, totally breathtaking kiss. It sealed their wedding and locked their hearts together forever. The other five men cheered, wrapping their arms around Roxy and Zarek in a giant, happy group hug.
The ceremony ended with beautiful smiles and happy laughter.
Right after the wedding, the men whisked her away. They didn’t want to stay in the garden too long because they thought she might get too tired. They took her straight to the most expensive, luxurious honeymoon suite in the entire city.
The hotel suite was huge. It had giant glass windows that looked out over the sparkling city skyline, a huge, soft bed covered in white silk sheets, and a cozy living area with a crackling fireplace.
When they walked through the door, the men were being very, very careful with her.
They were tiptoeing around like she was made of thin glass. Torian gently took her shoes off so her feet wouldn’t hurt. Kaelen wrapped a soft, fluffy blanket around her shoulders. Caspian went to the kitchen to fetch her a glass of cool water. They were treating her like a sick, fragile little bird because she had just spent three days burning with a terrible fever.
They thought she needed to rest. They thought she wanted to sleep.
They all sat down in the big, cozy living room. Syris opened a very expensive bottle of red wine and poured a little bit into crystal glasses for everyone.
"Here," Syris said softly, handing Roxy a glass. "Take a sip, and then you should go lay down in the big bed. You have had a very long, very emotional day."
"Yes," Ren agreed, looking at her with worried silver eyes. "You need to save your strength. We will just sit right here quietly while you sleep."
Roxy held the beautiful crystal glass in her hand. She sat in the middle of the big, soft sofa, surrounded by her six huge, worried husbands. She looked at them.
She wasn’t tired. She wasn’t sick anymore. The fever was gone, the sadness was healed, and the closure with her children had unlocked the wild, fierce fire inside her soul. She was a young, beautiful woman on her honeymoon with six incredibly hot men, and they wanted her to take a nap.
Roxy slowly lowered the blanket from her shoulders. She looked at the bright red wine in her glass, and a brand new, very wicked spark lit up in her bright green eyes.
She held her glass out to the center of the group.
The men looked confused, but they all reached out and gently clinked their glasses against hers. A soft, musical clink rang out in the quiet suite.
Roxy looked right into Zarek’s eyes, giving him a dirty, playful smirk that made his breath catch in his throat.
"Welcome to my unhinged life."
