Beast World: From Villainess to Cub-Raising Chef
Chapter 126 - 125: Bai Xiao Zhu’s Accusation
*
Outside the restaurant, Li Chenlin and Bai Xiaoshe wielded poison gas cannons, fighting fire with fire as they blasted the endless stream of Beastman helicopters out of the sky.
Nearby, Lu Tingyan and Bai Xiaolang led their men to stop the Beastmen on the ground trying to storm the restaurant.
The two father-son pairs fought side-by-side. Though they had never done so before, they were exceptionally... out of sync.
Bai Xiaoshe swore, "Didn’t you see I already blasted that side? Hit the other one! What’s the use of bombing the same area twice?"
Annoyed at being scorned by the little guy, Li Chenlin retorted, "I’d already taken care of my side. I only stepped in because I was afraid you were too slow. You useless little scrap. At this speed, how can anyone feel safe fighting beside you?"
Lu Tingyan tore apart the approaching Beastmen, but he also had to dodge the rifts Bai Xiaolang flung open.
His brow was furrowed so tightly you could have crushed a fly between them. "Do you even know how to fight? When attacking a small group, make the rift smaller. Don’t waste your spiritual power."
Bai Xiaolang shot back, "Just worry about yourself and stay out of my business!"
Lu Tingyan sneered. "Those clumsy tactics of yours are nothing but child’s play to the Medical Alliance."
Bai Xiaolang had perfectly inherited his genes; he couldn’t stand having his decisions questioned.
His expression darkened. He let out a cold snort and made a mental note to tattle to his mom later.
But thankfully, with the four of them joining forces—along with the men brought by Li Chenlin and the two boys, plus the ambush team Lu Tingyan had stationed near the restaurant—they were just barely able to fight the Medical Alliance to a stalemate.
That group from the International Alliance, always so bureaucratic, saw that the female was in no danger and simply watched from a distance, planning to come up and clean up the mess after the fight was over.
But clearly, they had all underestimated the Medical Alliance.
Although the Medical Alliance’s forces were suffering constant losses, reinforcements soon arrived.
A long line of flashy red helicopters appeared. A single cannon blast rang out, and half the mountaintop collapsed.
The group was instantly on high alert, quickly releasing their spiritual power to form a protective shield around the restaurant.
In the largest helicopter was a young female with the ears of a Drooping Ear Rabbit. She wore black, hip-hop-style overalls over a small pink T-shirt, her hair tied into two low pigtails. Her long, drooping ears were bound up with the pigtails, revealing a smooth, delicate face.
Her small face was practically a miniature version of Bai Su’s, only her youthful features held a hint of madness. Her chubby cheeks were smeared with chaotic scribbles of paint, making her look like a little lunatic.
She laughed excitedly, tossed aside her binoculars, and casually picked up a nearby chair, hoisting it onto her shoulder.
In the second the chair rested on her shoulder, her superpower transformed it into a giant steel cannon.
She licked her lips, a crazed look in her eyes. "Let’s see just how tough these brothers-in-law and little nephews of mine are!"
She fired a blast.
With a thunderous BOOM, nearly the entire mountaintop was obliterated.
Fortunately, Lu Tingyan and Li Chenlin’s spiritual power was immense, and they had shielded the operating room in advance.
The material encasing the operating room transformed into a high-speed transport, burrowing underground with the room and quickly evacuating the area.
Lu Tingyan and Li Chenlin continued to hold off the main enemy force with their men.
Seeing that their target was getting away, a man from the Medical Alliance in a white lab coat couldn’t help but whisper, "Miss Leia, the target is escaping. Shouldn’t we pursue them?"
The little cub named Leia was having a grand time, and at his reminder, her expression instantly darkened. "Are you telling me what to do?"
The man in the white coat was the overall commander of this operation, but his rank was still no match for the little girl in front of him, who only came up to a man’s thigh.
He hurriedly bowed his head. "I wouldn’t dare, I wouldn’t dare!"
Leia snorted, kicked him out of the helicopter, then shouldered her cannon and fired a blast that turned him to ash. "You die whether you dare or not."
’He ruined my fun. So annoying.’
She then turned her sights on the two father-son pairs below, her lips curling into a smirk as she continued to "greet" them with cannon fire.
The cannon fire was so intense that a single blast could level a mountaintop, yet now it rained down on the small group as if it were free.
Forget the people; the entire mountain could be pulverized!
The smoke from the explosions below was too thick; it was impossible to see what was happening.
Hearing the commotion at the mountaintop restaurant, the Lion Beastman Tribe and the Bear Beastman Tribe quickly arrived with reinforcements, swiftly turning the tide of the battle.

「Inside the operating room.」
Yelias and the Little White Spider were still locked in a standoff.
Weak and heartbroken, Bai Su looked at the wounds on the Little White Spider. "Yelias, don’t hurt him..."
The Little White Spider pressed his lips together, his grip on the spider silk slackening slightly. But a chip in his brain sounded an alarm, and he instantly tightened the silk again.
Yelias stared at the Little White Spider with displeasure. "A Beastman should always know gratitude. She is your mother."
But the Little White Spider reacted as if someone had stepped on his tail. "Gratitude for what?"
"From the moment I was born, all I’ve ever felt from her is pain!"
He stared at his clueless father and said angrily, "It’s easy for you to talk when you weren’t the one suffering! Where were you all those years I was being abused?"
"Did you know that woman, Bai Su, is manic? We often had to take a beating just to get her to feed us."
"Daily humiliation and verbal abuse were a regular occurrence!"
"Why do you think I joined the Medical Alliance?"
The Little White Spider stared at his stunned father, his eyes full of hatred. "Because she didn’t want me! She abandoned me!"
Mixed in with the intense hatred was an almost imperceptible trace of grievance.
He hadn’t known at first that Bai Su was his biological mother. It was only later, after he finally earned the privilege to use a smart-terminal to access the outside world, that he searched for the whereabouts of his two older brothers and younger sister and found Bai Su’s account.
It turned out that he, like his brothers, was one of the children Bai Su had given birth to back then. He wasn’t some little cub she’d picked up from an orphanage at all!
She was their biological mother, yet she had abandoned him!
"If she hadn’t sold me, I wouldn’t have ended up on the streets, and I wouldn’t have been taken in by the people from the Medical Alliance!"
"Everything in the past was her fault, so everything that’s happening now is what she deserves!"
"What right did she have to treat us like this after giving birth to us! If she hated us so much, why did she have us in the first place!"
The Little White Spider stared coldly at Bai Su on the operating table. "You think saying a few nice words will make me forgive you? Dream on!"
Bai Su opened her mouth, but she didn’t know how to explain.
’This was all the original owner’s doing. The System wouldn’t let me explain about transmigrating into the book, so I can only take the blame for what she did.’
Seeing her silence, the Little White Spider grew even more furious. "We were always meant to be enemies!"
He pulled on the spider silk, intending to forcibly sever and destroy the uterus.
Murderous intent flared in Yelias’s eyes, and a strand of spider silk shot toward the Little White Spider’s neck.
Bai Su instinctively lunged forward, shielding the Little White Spider. "Don’t!"
Yelias couldn’t retract his spider silk in time, and it sliced a long gash across Bai Su’s back.
"Ngh..." Bai Su let out a muffled groan, hugging the Little White Spider in her arms even tighter.
The Little White Spider was much thinner and shorter than the other two cubs.
Finally holding her cub, Bai Su’s heart melted. She pulled the little one closer, her embrace both precious and gentle. "My baby..."
"Susu!" Yelias hurriedly pulled back his spider silk.
Nearby, Bai Xue burst into loud laughter. "You deserve this, Bai Su! So your day has come! Your own child actually hates you! HAHAHAHAHAHA, they actually hate you..."
