Alex quickly found the figure and started following him, he maintained a few feet of distance between them so that they didn’t seem suspicious.

Under the figure’s lead, both of them left Brandvel Magic University’s grounds and entered a part of the City. The figure took a turn and entered a street packed with people and numerous roadside shops.

The figure stopped in front of a shop. A lot of other people were also gathered in front of this shop so he didn’t seem suspicious.

Alex slowly approached him and stopped beside him, both of them looked like they were waiting to enter the shop.

"White Star," Alex mumbled softly after reaching the figure. He then proceeded to observe their surroundings. Despite being in Brandvel City for a while, he had actually not been to this part of the City.

If he were supposed to describe this place, he would say it was the outskirts of Brandvel City. Although it was several times better looking than the outskirts he came from in Balon City.

"Hmm, so it’s really true that you’re now one of us. I didn’t believe it when the lord told me to come get you." The figure said and then glanced at Alex with a subtle smile.

Alex looked back at him, the other party looked like any ordinary face you would find on the street. Looking like someone in his early thirties, this person had the strength of an Expert rank mage.

But no matter how Alex looked, he couldn’t seem to remember where he knew this person.

"Do I know you?" Alex asked.

"Haha, I doubt that. But I know you. You see, I was there at the tournament at Balon City and your performance was particularly outstanding. I still couldn’t imagine how you got away with killing that girl in front of so many people but now I understand.

The Dark Union must have been interested in you for a long time and protected you." The man explained, his expression praising himself for his quick thinking and understanding.

Alex "..."

He decided not to say anything about that and allowed the man to think whatever he wanted.

"So why are you looking for me?" Alex continued the conversation.

"The lord has a mission for us and I was ordered to bring you here, someone else will come and take us to the venue of the meeting." the man explained.

"You don’t know the meeting place?" Alex asked, slightly surprised by how discreet the Dark Union was, even to their own people.

"Haha, you’ll get used to it." The man laughed and then started to talk about random things.

A few minutes quickly passed while they were talking.

"The descent of a God,"

At this moment, a soft voice said from behind them. Alex and the man immediately stopped what they were saying and turned around to see who was behind them, they called out their code names simultaneously while turning around.

"White Star,"

"Nightmare,"

They finally saw who had come to bring them to the meeting place after turning around. Standing in front of them was a pretty lady with long flowing crimson hair and matching eyes, she wore a pretty dress made from high-quality materials and adorned herself with shiny accessories.

With just a glance, anyone would be able to tell that she was from a well-to-do background.

If it was before, Alex would have been shocked that someone like this was a part of the Dark Union but after everything he had seen since he started encountering them, he wasn’t surprised and just stared at the lady expressionlessly.

The lady stared at both of them, her eyes flashing as her gaze landed on Alex. Taken aback by his handsomeness.

"Well well well, who is this handsome junior?" She asked with a flirting look on her face as she stepped closer to Alex, her rather large breasts pressing on Alex’s body.

Alex stared down at her without a change in expression. He didn’t step back from her even though her breasts were touching him. If she were trying to tease him, he would advise that she take a class or two from Aunt Mia.

" I’m White Star, a Disciple under lord green flame." Alex introduced himself.

Green flame was the name of the yellow robe who had carried out his initiation. Although Alex had killed him shortly after that.

"So you’re green flame’s lackey, what a shame for such a handsome fellow to be under him. I’m also a yellow robe, what do you think about coming under me?

I promise you’ll have more to benefit from following me." The lady said, her expression looked like she was dying of thirst as she pressed her body harder against Alex’s.

Alex "..."

’She is a yellow robe? But she’s not even a mage, how’s that possible?’ he thought in surprise.

"Ahem, stop that. Snatching another yellow robe’s Disciple isn’t allowed, you can talk to Green Flame if you want the newbie under you. For now, focus on why we’re here." Nightmare interrupted.

"Humph, nobody asked you for your opinion. Nevermind, I’ll find green flame and force him to give me this junior. Follow me." The lady hissed at Nightmare before turning around right in front of Alex, purposely brushing her butt against Alex’s crotch before walking off.

Alex completely ignored her action and was focused on their interaction instead. Since Nightmare was able to talk to her like that, he must be a yellow robe as well.

’Anyways, good luck finding green flame.’ Alex thought before following behind them.

The three of them exited the street, a car was waiting not far away and the lady led them towards it. The car drove off after they all got in.

Somehow, Nightmare ended up sitting in front along with the driver while Alex and the lady sat together at the back. Therefore, he had to deal with the lady’s molestation throughout the entire ride. Thankfully, she didn’t go too far and only stopped at rubbing bodies and saying nasty words.

Some time later, they finally arrived at their destination.

Alex was the first to get out after the car stopped and went to stand next to Nightmare after the man came out.

After coming out, the lady giggled at Alex’s action. She told them to follow her as she made her way into a large building in front of them. This building was a hotel with several floors, and the meeting was to be held in one of the rooms on the top floors.

Entering the hotel, Alex quickly realised that the lady owned the place or something similar from how the workers greeted them.

They took the elevator and quickly arrived at the top floor before heading to the meeting room.

They entered a royal suite after a bit, and a large living room that was lavishly furnished was what welcomed them.

There were seven other people already waiting for them inside, and adding the three of them who just arrived, a total of ten people had gathered here.

Alex glanced around, he recognised a few faces from the university but he couldn’t see the instructor. This made him curious but he didn’t ask, he imagined that he was the least ranking member here so he shouldn’t speak up first.

Thankfully, the lady was equally curious.

"Where’s the lord?" She asked after looking around. Alex believed that she was also asking about the instructor.

"He isn’t coming, he already gave me the details of the mission and left the briefing to me." A man with a huge build and a shiny bald head spoke up.

Alex looked at this person. ’A Master rank mage, nice haircut.’ he thought.

"What? He isn’t coming? Why didn’t I know about this?" The lady questioned strongly, clearly displeased.

"Does the lord need to report every decision to you?" The baldy stated.

From his tone, Alex felt that he didn’t like this lady; well, not like there wasn’t a reason to dislike her.

"Humph!" The lady snorted and said nothing else. She went to one of the chairs and made herself comfortable.

Meanwhile, multiple pairs of eyes landed on Alex.

"I still don’t know why the lord wants to include a mere Disciple in our meeting, he should only be concerned about carrying out orders." One of the seven figures voiced out in dissatisfaction.

Alex glanced at this person and instantly lost interest, he was just a Master rank mage.

"Who are you to question the lord’s decisions?" The lady retorted, defending Alex.

"Like you didn’t do the same just a while ago. Don’t think we’re on the same level just because you’re also a yellow robe, remember that you’re just an ordinary woman." The other party snarled with disdain.

"Oh, then you’re saying that our lord made a mistake when he made me a yellow robe? Doesn’t that mean you’ll do a better job than him and he should step down for you?" The lady said softly with a nasty smirk.

The face of the other party instantly turned dark when he heard this and mana gradually rose from his body.

"Bitch, what the hell are you getting at?" He asked in a murderous tone.

The woman’s smirk grew wider, she obviously wasn’t backing down even though the other party was a mage and could kill her with just a sneeze.

Alex was impressed, her confidence was out of the world.
