Chapter 332: Revealed to the Eshaan

It just so happened that Fian was also stationed at the border. He was in Asta Village, standing guard against the invasion.

Previously, mist monsters had broken through and reached this very village. The elves were worried that during this invasion, the monsters might attack the village again.

Fortunately, no attack came.

The invasion had been stopped by the frontline border villages ahead of them.

"This clearly proves that the previous attack was orchestrated by certain parties who bear hostility toward us," Village Head Rihun had said during yesterday’s meeting.

Since nothing had happened in Asta Village, Fian was able to leave immediately for Cakranloka City. Using his Ghost Walker ability, he arrived within two hours.

If he had traveled by horse, even on an exceptionally fast one, it would have taken at least five hours.

Tristan had already been informed of Fian’s arrival. He met the young elf at the city gate and brought him into Commander Ramun’s private room.

No one was inside. Only Gara’s leather satchel remained.

Not long after, the two of them disappeared from the room as well.

...

Two hours earlier, inside the dimensional home, Gara had explained everything to Ramun.

Once again, Ramun was left speechless. Suddenly, he had grandchildren. Six of them. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

At first, he had thought nothing could shock him more than witnessing Gara give birth.

He had never imagined that Gara had six children. And that he had been raising them inside his Talent space.

"I didn’t intend to hide this," Gara said calmly. "But as you can see, my children are safe here. Telling all of you does not necessarily guarantee their safety."

Ramun could only nod slowly. His mind was still trying to process all this new information.

"I want to invite Sir Karon here. He will decide whether we can inform the Duke about my children or not," Gara continued.

"If he and the Duke cannot accept my children, I hope you remember that I was the one who saved the Duke’s life. We can quietly prepare my replacement. When I am strong enough to protect my children on my own, you may announce that I am no longer part of House Eshaan."

The firmness in Gara’s voice made Ramun realize something clearly. Gara would never abandon his children. He would protect them no matter what.

Ramun nodded. "I will inform Sir Karon."

He then told Tristan to leave the dimensional home with him.

Before sending them out, Ramun spoke to Gara with a stiff but sincere expression.

"Congratulations on the birth of your twins, Gara. You worked hard. They are adorable babies."

Gara was slightly startled. He had never lacked people congratulating him on the birth of his children.

But it still touched him every time. Someone acknowledging the hardship he endured for months.

"Thank you, Sir Ramun," he replied, before sending Ramun and Tristan out of the space.

Tristan, tasked with guarding the satchel, quickly followed Ramun toward the Teleportation Hall.

The knights were stunned to see their commander fully recovered. He was walking. Even mounting a horse. As if he were not the same man who had been unconscious just hours ago.

They were even more confused because the duke’s heir and an elf had entered the room earlier, yet now neither of them were present.

"They have already left. We will return to Esalavya Duchy now," Ramun said, with no intention of explaining further.

The knights could only nod.

Ramun and Tristan traveled through the Teleportation Hall back to Esalavya Duchy and headed straight to the castle.

Karon was not particularly surprised to see Ramun awake. If Gara had intervened, he had expected Ramun to recover quickly.

"That nephew of mine truly is something," he muttered to himself.

Ramun and Tristan did not hear him clearly, and since Karon did not repeat it, they did not ask.

Ramun immediately reported everything that had happened that day. The shock was unmistakable on Karon’s face.

His usual composed demeanor, the air of someone who always seemed prepared for the unexpected, vanished. He truly had not anticipated this.

"I will speak to him directly," Karon said flatly.

Ramun looked worried. If Karon could not accept Gara’s children, their relationship would fracture.

Even though he had only known them for a few hours, Ramun already felt a familial bond with his adorable grandchildren. He had even forgotten to ask which devil was the father of the triplets.

"Gara is a good child. His children are still small. We can raise them in the castle. They will grow into good children as well," Ramun said earnestly.

"I will see for myself," Karon replied.

While others saw Ramun as stern and cold, Karon knew his younger brother had a deeply emotional side, especially when it came to family. Karon would not make any judgment with only the information from Ramun.

Tristan finished contacting Gara.

Karon was then brought into the dimensional home, while Tristan remained outside to guard the satchel.

That was precisely why Tristan had exited the space in the first place. They could not afford carelessness.

...

Inside the dimensional home, Karon met Gara’s newborn babies. The triplets and Bel had been put to sleep in Wina’s room.

Karon had already heard everything from Gara. Many things astonished him.

The extraordinary space itself. And Gara’s healing ability, which seemed far superior to healers who had studied and practiced for decades under masters.

But beyond that, Gara’s unwavering resolve to never part from his children made it impossible for Karon to smile.

Gara noticed the displeasure in Karon’s expression. But he would not bend to anyone’s words.

"You are truly willing to abandon House Eshaan and your position as heir for the sake of your children?" Karon asked coldly.

He had already prepared a list of potential fiancés for Gara. He had carefully calculated the political advantages each candidate would bring to the duchy. And now, all that effort appeared meaningless.

He looked at Gara, waiting for his answer.

"Uncle," Gara called, suddenly more informal.

Inside, Karon wavered. But outwardly, his expression remained cold.

Gara continued,

"I went to meet Duke Eshaan. I came to meet all of you. For my children. To protect them. If I had only cared about myself, I would never have gone through the trouble of trying to blend in with people who did not care about me for seventeen years of my life."
