Born Without Magic… So What?
Chapter 27: The Angel Was Real
When Arya read more of the notebook, he learned everything written inside it.
There were many secrets about history and other things recorded in its pages.
The skeleton sitting on the chair was the owner of this house.
According to the notebook, he had died seven years ago.
After reading it, Arya placed the notebook inside his Storage Skill.
Then he continued searching the underground room.
After searching for a while, he found another hidden door.
When he opened it, his eyes widened slightly.
Inside were many gold coins, valuable items, and several magic items.
The room looked like a hidden treasury.
Without hesitation, Arya stored everything inside his Storage Skill.
After taking everything, he returned to the underground room.
He closed the hidden door.
Then he carefully put the large picture back in place to hide the entrance again.
After finishing everything, Arya returned to the room where he had left the little girl.
Before entering, he changed back into his real form.
Then he slowly opened the door.
The moment he entered...
The little girl was no longer on the bed.
Arya frowned slightly.
He hadn’t received any notification from the barrier.
That meant nobody had entered from outside.
As he stepped farther into the room to look around...
A piece of cloth suddenly flew toward him.
Before Arya could react, it covered his face.
At the same time...
The door slammed shut from the outside.
Arya quickly pulled the cloth away.
Meanwhile, after the little girl had woken up earlier, she had been confused.
The room was filled with dust.
The old house looked abandoned.
She didn’t know where she was.
Then she heard someone coming toward the room.
Looking through the window, she saw a young boy approaching.
At that moment, she remembered the white-winged angel who had saved her.
But she thought it had only been a dream.
The boy outside looked completely human.
There were no white wings.
Because of that, she thought he could be a member of the same people who had kidnapped her before.
From her point of view, it made sense.
The memory of being captured was still fresh in her mind.
Fear quickly filled her small heart.
So when she saw Arya approaching the room...
She immediately became cautious.
That was why she hid and waited quietly.
She didn’t know the truth yet.
She only knew that she didn’t want to be captured again. Then she hid behind the door.
While hiding, she found some clothes nearby.
She quickly took them and held them tightly in her hands.
When Arya came inside the room, she immediately threw the clothes toward his face.
Before Arya could react, she rushed out of the room.
Then she quickly closed the door from the outside.
Without stopping, she started running away from there.
At first, when she looked around the living room, she didn’t see any other humans.
The entire house was silent.
Then she opened the main door and ran outside.
But when she reached outside, she froze for a moment.
There were no humans there.
No slave traders.
No guards.
Not even the other slaves.
Everything around her felt strangely quiet.
A strange feeling appeared in her heart.
But she didn’t have time to think about it.
Right now, she only wanted one thing.
To get as far away from here as possible.
She didn’t want to become a slave ever again.
So she kept running without looking back.
When she was running, she suddenly stopped.
It was the edge of the mountain.
If she had taken one more step forward, she would have fallen.
As she looked down, she couldn’t even see the ground.
There were clouds below.
The height was terrifying.
If she fell from there...
She would die.
She quickly stepped back.
Then she went around the house and searched for another way.
She checked every side of the mountain.
But no matter where she looked, there was no path.
Only steep cliffs surrounded the area.
Finally, she realized something.
She was trapped on top of a mountain.
Climbing down was impossible for her.
After searching everywhere, she reached the bridge side.
But the wooden bridge was broken.
There was no way to cross to the other side.
She was completely stuck there.
Meanwhile, inside the house, Arya was sitting on a chair in the living room.
He already knew she would return.
There was simply no way for her to leave that place.
A few minutes later...
The door slowly opened.
The little girl entered the house again.
She looked tired and exhausted.
After walking closer, she looked directly at Arya.
"Where are we?"
"Why did you bring me here?"
"I searched everywhere."
"There is nobody besides us."
"And what did you do with the other slaves?"
"Tell me."
Arya looked at her calmly.
Then he pointed at a chair.
"Just sit down first."
"Then I’ll explain everything."
But the little girl didn’t sit.
She continued standing there.
It was obvious she still didn’t trust him.
Arya sighed.
"Just sit down."
"Trust me."
"I’m not one of the people you’re thinking about."
"I only helped you."
"If you don’t trust me, you don’t have any other options anyway."
"You should at least listen first."
After hesitating for a moment, she finally sat down.
Then she immediately spoke again.
"No."
"You are lying."
"I know what I saw."
"I saw an angel with white wings."
"You can’t be that angel."
"He looked around sixteen or eighteen years old."
"You’re just a kid."
Arya rolled his eyes.
"Look who’s talking."
"You’re also a kid."
The little girl immediately became angry.
"We’re not like you humans."
"I’m from the Fox Clan."
"We live much longer than humans."
"That’s why our growth is slower."
"I look like a kid."
"But I’ve seen the world before you were even born."
Arya raised both hands.
"Okay, okay."
"I don’t want to argue with you."
Then he stood up.
"My name is Arya."
"And I’m eight years old."
"As for the angel you saw..."
"That was me."
"I changed my appearance."
The little girl still didn’t believe him.
Then Arya changed back into his eighteen-year-old form.
The moment she saw him, her eyes widened.
"You..."
"You look like him."
"But where are your wings?"
Arya smiled slightly.
Then he activated his Fly Wings Skill.
A pair of large white wings appeared behind his back.
The room was instantly filled with white feathers and gentle wind.
The little girl froze.
White wings.
The same face.
The same person.
Only then did she realize he wasn’t lying.
The angel who saved her...
Really was Arya.
Without saying anything else, Arya picked her up in his arms again.
Then he walked outside the house.
A moment later, his white wings spread wide.
He rose into the sky.
The little girl remained in his arms as they flew high above the mountain.
