Chapter 530: Chapter 530: The Pure Lotus Demon Saint

Three thousand li southwest of the spatial passage, the wind and sand gradually weakened, and the sky turned a clear blue.

Upon a vast mountain range, the void twisted without warning. Two figures stepped out from the distortion and landed upon a verdant peak — a man handsome and calm, a woman beautiful and graceful. They were Liu Xi and Qing Lin.

After leaving the Spatial Trade Fair, several bold cultivators had tried to approach, attempting to befriend this mysterious Dou Saint. Yet the moment Liu Xi’s indifferent gaze swept across them, their bodies froze stiff, faces pale with fear, as though they had just met an ancient beast.

Liu Xi simply flicked his cloak and turned away without a word. Qing Lin followed silently behind, and under the watchful eyes of those awed onlookers, the pair disappeared into the distance.

Mysterious, proud, untouchable — Liu Xi had deliberately crafted such an image to conceal his true identity. Only after traveling three thousand li away did he finally reveal himself again. His gaze swept across the surroundings, Spiritual Perception spreading outward to cover everything within miles.

Knowing what he intended, Qing Lin moved aside and activated her Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils, vigilance gleaming in her emerald eyes.

Liu Xi waved his hand, and a sheepskin scroll appeared from his Storage Ring. After rummaging further, three more nearly identical fragments emerged in his palm.

Staring at the incomplete maps of the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame, Liu Xi’s eyes burned with intensity. He licked his lips slightly, then began carefully fitting the ancient fragments together, aligning the faint lines and creases one by one.

His movements were steady and precise. As time passed, a single complete ancient map gradually took shape before his eyes. When the final piece locked into place, Liu Xi let out a long breath. A faint smile surfaced as his fiery gaze scanned the merged image — a landscape pattern of mountains and rivers.

Yet the pattern seemed entirely ordinary. There were no markers, no routes, no symbols of treasure — it looked like nothing more than a random painting.

"That faint burning aura can’t be wrong... I’ll have to temper it with a Heavenly Flame to reveal its true face, won’t I?"

Holding the map in both hands, Liu Xi narrowed his eyes. To others, it might appear plain, but with his late Heaven Realm soul perception, he could sense the concealed energy within.

A thought stirred — fwoosh! — A cyan flame rose from his palm, its light elegant and fierce, its aura suffused with divine heat. The azure flame swirled, wrapping around the scroll entirely.

This was no ordinary fire. After fusing seven Heavenly Flames, Liu Xi’s cyan flame was already terrifying, capable of contending with even the top three flames on the Heavenly Flame Ranking — lacking only the tempering of time itself.

Even so, the scroll did not burn. Not a single trace of damage appeared.

Liu Xi’s brows lifted slightly. He silently increased the temperature.

The air around him distorted as waves of heat rippled outward, yet the ancient map remained unscathed. Instead, its once dull lines began to gleam faintly, as if awakening.

The more the flame roared, the brighter the map shone — until finally, with a sharp tremor, the surface burst open, releasing radiant streaks that coalesced into ancient words floating midair.

"Twin moons aligned. Nine stars united.

Heaven and earth surge as tides rise — the Demon Flame descends."

Liu Xi read the archaic script aloud, his eyes lighting up with comprehension. A slow smile tugged at his lips.

"A celestial phenomenon that occurs once every millennium... less than three years remain before it appears. The Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame..."

Before he could finish, the sheepskin in his hand quivered violently. The lotus-shaped mark at its center rippled like a living creature, transforming into a streak of fiery light that shot straight into Liu Xi’s forehead!

The sudden change startled Qing Lin. Her pretty face turned pale. "Young Master!"

Liu Xi merely raised his hand, signaling her not to worry. Closing his eyes, he massaged his brow, carefully sensing the foreign energy now embedded between his eyebrows.

It was connected to the Pure Lotus Demon Saint — perhaps a remnant will, or a key to suppressing the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame itself. Though intrusive, it posed no real threat.

The Demon Saint had indeed once been the strongest under heaven, a being closest to the realm of the Dou Di. But after ten thousand years, how much power could a mere fragment of his will still hold?

Liu Xi’s soul was at the peak of the Heaven Realm, forged through flame, his spirit one with the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree’s blessing. Even a trace of the Demon Saint’s remnant could not shake him.

Within his spiritual world, a white orb of light hovered quietly, shimmering softly. Under the watch of the Bodhisattva Tree’s green glow — its branches forming a celestial canopy — the light quivered, releasing strands of information directly into Liu Xi’s mind.

He focused, deciphering the faint message:

"Pure Lotus Demon Saint... Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame... world in ruin... must be sealed..."

In that instant, Liu Xi’s eyes snapped open, twin stars gleaming within. His lips curved into a slow, knowing smile that widened into quiet laughter.

"The Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame... it’s already within my grasp."

Qing Lin’s soft voice then broke the silence. "Young Master, where did we capture our very first magical beast together? What kind of beast was it? What name did you give it?"

Liu Xi looked up, momentarily stunned — then chuckled softly. Qing Lin’s face was tense, her Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils glowing faintly again, wary and ready.

He realized what she was doing — confirming he hadn’t been possessed — and his heart softened.

"In the magma beneath the Tager Desert," he replied with a gentle smile. "A Two-Headed Flame Spirit Snake. We named it Ling Shuang — I was the one who chose the name. Is that clear enough?"

Qing Lin’s tense expression melted into joy. The crimson light faded from her eyes as she stepped closer, her voice tender. "As long as you’re alright, Young Master."

The map in Liu Xi’s hand disintegrated into ash, scattering into the wind. Without its energy, it was now nothing more than an ordinary scrap of parchment — not even fit to be called a map.

He reached out to gently ruffle Qing Lin’s hair. Her silky strands slipped through his fingers like ribbons, irresistibly soft.

"Don’t let your imagination run wild. I’m a Dou Saint, and with the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree’s blessing, there’s no one in this world who can possess me — only those I choose to possess."

With that faintly teasing remark, he turned his gaze toward the distant Central Plains.

"It’s time to stay away from the commotion for a while. Let’s head back to the Northwest Region and take a look around."
