Chapter 350: Chapter 350: Night Ambush

Similar sights were everywhere in the other teams within the Psychic Army. They literally had a ghosts accompanied them.

The dark-haired man stayed in his commander tent.

’These ghosts... Aren’t they just basically wraiths? If I construct a Chaos Ritual to turn them into wraiths, they would be able to interact with the world and gain Wraith powers. Then they can continue to fight. If they die, their souls return to the Moon Courts and I can reuse them again!’

The man grinned widely and stroked his invisible whiskers.

He froze because his whiskers weren’t there no more.

"Old habits die hard." Mater mumbled.

"You want to jump in my shirt?" Selina said.

"Oh, hell yeah!"

Mater transformed back into the small black cat and jumped inside’s Selina shirt. Her warm skin comforted him greatly.

The black cat popped his head out of her collar and stroked his now visible whiskers.

"Being small is actually pretty good!" The black cat meowed.

Selina giggled and petted the black cat’s head. This cat tried to ride her a few years ago and now stayed obediently inside her shirt like he’s drunk on cat nip. Life really was hilarious sometimes.

"May we enter?" Aurora’s voice echoed from the outside.

"Come in." The black cat’s deep voice echoed.

Aurora and Crow entered. Their appearances had altered a little bit in the Everlasting Wilds.

Aurora wore a Fey Dress that looked like a lotus. Her smooth white thighs showed clearly beneath that short skirt.

Crow wore a black leather armor made by Tony. It conformed to his frame well and he had a hood on.

The two of them knelt down.

"We are ready to strike by sunrise, Master." Aurora said.

The black cat nodded, "Good. We can rest for tonight."

The night went deeper and the military campus was invaded by silence. They were deep asleep. Without their knowledge, shadow creatures circled around the camp with purple knives within their hands.

Leading them was a Four-armed shadow with a bird head.

They communicated by hang gestures.

The shadows got into position and were ready to strike. The Bird Shadow signaled the attack.

The shadows jumped into the tent. The purple knives slashed into the empty air inside them.

"Huh?" The Bird Shadow tilted its head in confusion.

Beneath it, a circle of Hellfire appeared and wrapped around the Bird Shadow.

"Eek!" The Bird Shadow shrieked.

The Psychics revealed themselves. These were the Fighter Region under Crow’s command, each of them wore leather armor with a hood on top. All of them mastered Dampening Optical Field and could go invisible at a moment notice.

They jumped at the shadow and counter ambushed them.

"How? Who told you?" The Bird Shadow shrieked.

The black cat revealed itself via Minor Distortion.

"I stole many things throughout my life, Abomination. You think I am stupid enough to not expect you to come?"

The black cat opened its mouth. A thick Nether Beam blew the head of the Bird Shadow off. It was simply a Rank-2 Commander, not worth that much in Chaos Singularity.

The black cat snatched the dark sphere out of the Abomination and threw to Crow.

"Keep this. You will need it for advancement later." The black cat meowed.

"Thank you, Master!"

This ambush attempt was led by a Rank-2 Abomination. The other Abominations were purely Rank-1. They were met with battle-hardened Psychics and slaughtered in no time.

Solarix wiped the blood off her face. "What should we do now, Master?"

"We attack, of course. It would be impolite for us to not respond in kind."

Naseem, the current commander of the 51st Sun Legion under Queen Cristina. He was tasked with protecting the border after the failure a few months ago.

Abominations from the hell of darkness had reached out to them and offered to help. Naseem despised these creatures of horror but he knew what was the greater good. So he and the commander of that small battalion planned an ambush at the Psychic Army.

The shadow assassins would strike at night, causing unrest. And then Naseem would strike at day, making sure he would extinguish any flame that army got left.

When the sunrise shined upon the Everlasting Wilds, Naseem led his legion toward the border of the Moon Court. There he saw the pathetic army of the Blood Warlock. There were no more than a hundred of them.

"That Abomination must have done its job." Naseem put on his helmet.

"I wonder why he didn’t return." His advisor commented.

"He probably died in the process." Naseem shrugged. "No matter. Abominations or Psychics. They should all be dead!"

Naseem shouted and rushed at the puny army of the Blood Warlock.

"Wait, sir!" His advisor wanted to stop him. But it was too late.

The Fae of the Sun Court used giant white wolves as their mounts. These wolves weren’t a Fae as they couldn’t transform into hybrid form or human form. But they still had consciousness.

"Let’s kill them all, Nara!" Naseem tapped the white wolf under him.

"Roger that, Naseem!"

Suddenly, the ground around them cracked.

"What the?"

The ground collapsed and pulled some Fae and their mounts into pools of quick sand.

Sparrow revealed himself behind a tree. He was playing his flute furiously.

"How do you feel about my Terrestrial Trap Hole?" The Satyr grinned.

With his Terrestrial power, he opened up a path on either side of the 51st Legion. Psychics rushed out from beneath the ground.

"We are being ambushed! Retreat! Retreat!"

Naseem was able to dodge the Trap Hole. He shouted and commanded his legion to return.

But it was too late. The Psychics blocked them from behind, preventing them from joining with the remaining of their soldiers.

"We cannot let them kill our commander!" Naseem’s advisor shouted. He pulled out his sword and rushed forward.

The reaming of the soldiers followed the advisor.

"Where do you think you’re going?" Bash’s giant body landed heavily on the ground, blocking the advisor and his soldiers.

The Tank Legion arrived and landed beside Bash. Their movements were very identical to him.

"Demon..." The advisor frowned.

The large demon grinned, "Have you ever been beaten by a demon before?"
