"Who are they?!" Lalo’s lips trembled. "Is it our reinforcement?"

One of the black-armored soldiers pointed his index finger at Lalo.

The body guard widened his eyes. He didn’t know that soldier was going to do. But he could feel it. Death was coming for Lalo.

The body guard pushed Lalo away. The tip of the index finger shot out a spiral beam that pierced through the stomach of that body guard.

He fell on the ground bloody with his internal organs visible.

Lalo had finally grasped the nature of the situation. His heart skipped a beat.

The other soldiers also pointed their fingers at them.

"Shield up!" A body guard shouted.

All of them joined their wrists together. The Integrators lit up and formed a semi-transparent energy barrier around Lalo and the body guards.

The barrier was able to block the spiral beam but not for long. Cracks had already started to appear on the shield.

"We can’t be here! We must get Master Lorenzo to somewhere safe." A body guard shouted.

A female body guard grabbed Lalo, "You need to come with me."

"Get off me, woman! I won’t be carried like a child!"

The female smacked at Lalo’s neck and caused him to fall asleep. She put him on her shoulder and jumped straight up. The Integrator on her wrist shined brightly.

"That one can fly?" A soldier said.

"What’s our command, captain?"

The leader of the squad didn’t even need to think to give his orders. He had been through so many battles that it had become second nature of him.

"Get rid of these body guards. If catch alive, interrogate them. The rest of you, follow me!"

The female body guard had one of the rare flying Psionic abilities. But for the Dark Court Army, that wasn’t rare at all. Tony Snow had already designed a special Psycho Unit capable of achieve true flying with a much less resource drain than Flying Psionic.

The soldiers tapped on their chest, calling the power of their Psycho Stream Integrator.

"Activate Dark Wings!"

Wide demonic bat wings appeared behind each soldier armor. They shot straight to the sky and followed the female body guard and Lalo.

"What the hell is that?!" The female body guard bit her lips. She knew she shouldn’t take the job of protecting this boy. But she needed the money.

Now, she wouldn’t have a life to spend those money anymore.

At the same time, at the Schattenberg Tower. Batista was dealing with some other companies on the phone when his panic phone, a landline specifically designed for one number only to be called, rang.

Batista placed his mobile phone down. His face went darker as he picked up the landline.

"Yes?" Batista said.

"A hidden cult is attacking you. They’re powerful."

Then the line cut off. Batista believed everything instantly. The person on the other line would never lie to him.

Batista took out his phone hurriedly.

"Who is attacking us? The Zakharovs? Or the Brankovics?"

He got on the phone with one of his directors, people that ran his large empire for him.

"Dorothy. I need you to..."

Before Batista could even finish, he heard an explosion on the other side and the nose of a woman’s screaming. He widened his eyes.

"Dorothy is in one of our public facility. How did they..." Batista mumbled.

Then he turned on the TV. The attack of the Illuminati was not subtle. Hundreds of masked soldiers appeared out of nowhere and began to destroy every related facilities of the Von Schattenberg.

The media had caught wind of this and they were already at the many scenes. The reporters called this ’large organized terrorist attack on one of the Union’s biggest company’.

"These people are crazy. How did they even..."

Then Batista heard something. He looked out the window.

He was currently on the 101st floor of the Von Schattenberg Building. The only people that capable of standing out of the window were Psychics.

A few hundred meters away from the window were a group of black-armored soldiers.

These were Aurora Fan Club Squad. They were personally trained by Aurora and as a result, learned a few spells from her.

"Get ready!" A soldier shouted.

A line of soldiers formed and clasped their hands together.

"Aim!" He shouted.

Many giant ice lances appeared out of the window. Each was as big as a car.

"You?!" Batista blurted out.

"Fire!"

Uncountable Ice Lances bolted through the air and turned the 101st floor into a sponge full of holes. Batista used his own power to survive. That man was not just a nobody. He was the current leader of the Von Schattenbergs, a house with hundred of years of Psycho tradition.

His NES was rage. The rage filled him as he bolted out of the window, running on one of the ice lances.

Another lance shot at him. His right hand slapped the lance away and flew after the soldiers.

"How dare you?!" Batista screamed. The veins popped on his neck.

Batista was a Rank-3 Disaster Psychic. He despised these weaklings that dared to attack him.

The soldiers scattered away in a formation.

’These men!’ Batista was extremely surprised in side. ’They are hardened veterans.’

The soldiers formed a sphere around him. Their hands glowed the color of white.

"Ice coffin ready!"

"Activate!"

An ice cube materialized and trapped Batista within. If it was just any Psychic, Batista would have broken out already. But these soldiers combined their power together in a way that prevented him from doing so.

"You... I will... not..."

Batista’s heart burned bright the color of yellow.

The landline wasn’t connected to anyone. The landline was a gateway to a messenger of his gods. The high beings that would reward the Von Schattenbergs for their loyalty once they arrived in this world.

And in his heart lay the power of Fate, silver strands that the gods loved to play with.

Fate fused him and granted him more power.

Batista broke away from the ice, causing a huge blast pushing all the Psychics away from him. Some even lost their balance and began falling down.

The nearby soldiers caught them just in time.

Batista looked much different now. His eyes were that of a lunatic.

"Who dares disrespect the follower of gods?"
