Chapter 111: 111-For the world (2)

Fairy Zarathia patted Sseraphis in the back and had him seated. She had three of them make a triangular shape right underneath the night sky. Each beast was situated right under the three moons.

"I need you to soak up the spiritual energy from the moon," she instructed.

She stepped back, feeling slightly unlike herself, but she couldn’t pinpoint what about her was different.

The feeling that something was wrong with her kept hammering at her brain, however, with the pressing matter of saving the world in front of her, she had no choice but to push the thought to the back of her head and get back to it later.

Sseraphis brushed off the spot that her hand touched and smiled faintly and chose not to respond.

Pleased that everything was going according to plan, he felt a surge of satisfaction and found that doing a good deed wasn’t too bad at that moment.

Nytherael and Aeltharion immediately picked up on his unusual happiness and sense of style. Today, it seemed he was dressed to impress, and both couldn’t be more attracted to him.

The tightly fitting robes that Sseraphis had on left nothing to the imagination on his upper body frame. The lines of his slight muscles showed were visible on the fabric.

Sseraphis met their smitten gazes, smiled, and then closed his eyes to focus on the task at hand.

Nytherael bit his lip, suppressed his feelings, and sighed heavily before focusing on sensing the spiritual enegery on the mood.

Deep down, he couldn’t shake the feeling that Sseraphis was different since their moment that morning. With the snake having done something with his hair, clothes... he struggled to figure out what was truly different about him.

"I’ll ask him when this is over."

Aeltharion on the other corner of the grounds was equally baffled by Sseraphis. His venom was extremely happy, and that usually meant that either he had done something bad or was about to. The hair, the clothes, and the light in Sseraphis’ eyes were all signs the snake usually had before he got destructive.

He knew Sseraphis too well to know that him dolling up was a sign that he’d gotten motivated to go full-on chaos on beasts or places. His mood would remain light until he fulfilled his thirst to destroy lives.

"I wonder who’s the poor soul that has caught his attention today," he thought out loud.

Without thinking about it further, he focused on the task of saving the beast world. He closed his eyes, stopped thinking about Sseraphis, and focused on the spiritual energy from the moon above him.

The moment all three of them were in sinc, focusing on the spiritual energy around them. Their bond awakened, and with Sseraphis’ side unlocked and cleansed of corruption, there was no hindrance.

Together, they spiritually siphoned their light from the moon unto their centre of the triangle formed with their sitting positions.

The light formed a small bubble, one that kept growing with every breath.

"It’s exactly like that day," Zeyron exclaimed. He didn’t dare blink. He wanted another glance at the light, and he hoped that his vision would change.

He didn’t wish to end up a lovestruck beast that pines over a beast that is in love with another beast. That felt too complicated and unlike him.

Nerezza drew closer, carrying the weight of her last vision. One that she hadn’t been able to speak of in order to avoid becoming paralyzed. She hoped that heaven would be merciful to her and allow her fate to change.

She didn’t want to bury her lover. She had no idea how she’d be able to live with her soul buried six feet under in the ground.

Princess Samahita and Theren were no exception. They, too, drew close with the others, hoping to catch an enlightening vision that could help them fix their futures.

Samahita desired to see the moment she lost her beast and see what she can do to stop herself from repeating that mistake, while Theren wanted to find another solution to help Samahita that didn’t include romancing the emperor’s tyrant lapdog.

Thinking of that, he turned his head to the side and glanced past Samahita to steal a glance of Zeyron, feeling the eyes on him, Zeyron too lifted his eyes. When their eyes met, each withdrew immediately before turning back just as quickly and staring at each other again.

’Does he know something?’ Theren asked inside.

Zeyron, though, ’Did he get the same vision as me? Does that mean that he knows the truth?’

Both beasts lowered theory eyes to the beastwoman standing between them. Just like the vision, Samahita was always standing between them like she wad doing at that moment.

’I can’t believe I fall for someone who loves her!’ Zeyron was disgusted.

’I can’t believe I’ll have to sell my soul to save her,’ Theren was saddened.

Samahita turned to face Theren and raised an eyebrow at his intense and emotional look. Therem flashed her a weak smile and shook his head. She twirled her head to her other side and met Zeyron’s eyes that were equally intense but filled with anger and disgust.

"Is something wrong?"

"You breathe too loudly!" Zeyron scolded and looked away.

Samahita brought a hand close to her nose and felt her breath. It felt normal, not quite loud, as Zeyron stated. She shrugged and ignored it.

Meanwhile, Princess Sheana, Aenyra, Fior, and Ssirel remained unaffected by the light. The three were unaffected by the light the first time and didn’t think much of it while Sheana had forgotten her vision so she didn’t have a natural reaction to the light like her sister and the others.

Behind them, Ssoren lay halfway on the wooden slab with his hand supporting his head and his eyes closed. He was unbothered by the ongoings of saving the world.

Kyan attempted to shake him awake. "You’re going to miss it."

"I didn’t even want to be here. You forced me to come because you wanted to watch, and we can’t be more than ten feet apart, and since I am stronger than you, you are naturally pulled to where I am," he let out. "If I haven’t made it clear before. I don’t care."

Kyan didn’t bother with him anymore and looked ahead, full of curiosity.

The bubble built up the size of a mini hill before it exploded and travelled in every direction across lands. Like the first time, laughter shared between the trouple echoed around the three.

Memories of the past times played out in tiny sparks, fueling the light and giving it the energy to spread far and wide.

"It’s time," Zarathia flew up to the centre of the triangle and released her energy into the source of the light. Blue energy wrapped warmly around the bubble that held the beautiful memories of the trio.

In a compelling voice, she commanded. "Forget the vision you saw in the light!"
