After Su Qinglan explained everything clearly, the atmosphere inside the house changed immediately.

Hu Yan’s eyes lit up first. He almost stood up in excitement, his tail unconsciously appearing behind him and wagging left and right.

"Farming? Growing food ourselves?" he repeated, clearly thrilled. "This is good! This is really good!"

Han Jue also showed interest, though he was calmer. His gaze was steady, but there was a clear spark in his eyes.

Anything that could make their lives more stable, especially before winter, was worth doing.

Xuan Long, on the other hand, remained as indifferent as ever. He leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, his expression calm and unreadable.

To him, food had never been a problem.

Even in winter, he could hunt. Even if prey became scarce, he would find a way. If needed, he could travel far and bring back enough food for everyone.

So in his mind, this farming idea was... unnecessary.

But when his gaze landed on Su Qinglan, everything changed.

She looked excited. Her eyes were bright, her expression full of energy.

Soon, everyone gathered outside near their stone house.

The land around it was wide and open, perfect for farming.

"First, we need to make a fence," she said.

Without a fence, cubs or even other beastmen might step in and destroy the crops.

Hu Yan and Han Jue immediately went to cut bamboo and wood. Their movements were fast and efficient. Thick bamboo poles were cut and shaped quickly.

Xuan Long carried the heavy logs as if they weighed nothing.

Soon, a pile of wooden poles was ready.

Su Qinglan stepped forward and raised her hand slightly.

Thin green vines slowly emerged from the ground, growing longer and stronger under her control. They twisted and moved like living ropes.

She guided them carefully, binding the wooden poles together one by one.

Her movements were smooth and precise.

Stove stood nearby, watching carefully. His small leafy body trembled slightly with excitement.

Then he immediately started copying her.

He didn’t grow vines from the ground. Instead, he grabbed the vines that Hu Yan had brought earlier. With his own ability, he strengthened them and twisted them into strong cords.

He clumsily followed Su Qinglan’s method, binding the poles together.

His little flower companion stayed beside him, handing over pieces of vine whenever he needed them.

Stove nodded seriously.

The two small plants worked together in their own way.

Meanwhile, the three men worked tirelessly.

Hu Yan hammered the poles into the ground.

The work went smoothly. In just a short time, the fence began to take shape.

A simple but sturdy enclosure surrounded the area.

Finally, they installed a small bamboo gate at the front. When it was done, everyone stepped back.

Hu Yan wiped his forehead and grinned.

"It looks good!"

Su Qinglan nodded with satisfaction.

"Yes. This will do."

Without wasting time, she turned toward the backyard area.

The three men looked at her.

"What should we do?" Han Jue asked.

Su Qinglan thought for a moment. Then she began explaining step by step.

She picked up a hoe from the tools and demonstrated.

Soon, the quiet ground was filled with the sound of digging.

They did as told.

The ground was dug deeper, and the soil was flipped.

Dark, moist earth from below came to the surface.

She crouched down and grabbed a handful of soil, rubbing it between her fingers.

Then she pointed at the scattered stones and roots.

"Remove these. Plants need space to grow."

The men quickly cleared the area. Stones were thrown aside, and old roots were pulled out.

Even Stove joined in, dragging small bits away with his vines.
