Su Qinglan stood there stunned. She turned her head and looked at Hu Yan and Han Jue with pitiful eyes. "Then... can you two help bring some animal waste here?"

Hu Yan and Han Jue looked back at her with equally pitiful expressions.

He pushed Hu Yan away firmly and stepped forward.

After Han Jue finished spreading and mixing everything at lightning speed, he stood up and wiped his hands.

Han Jue removed the cloth from his face, took a deep breath of fresh air, and walked straight to Su Qinglan.

Without any shame, he leaned down and snuggled his face into the crook of her neck, rubbing against her soft skin.

"Lan Lan, finally I can breathe again," he said in a low, satisfied voice. His tone sounded tired but pleased.

Su Qinglan’s face was still a little red, but she gently patted his broad back. "You worked hard today, Han Jue. Thank you. Tonight I will definitely cook your favorite meal as a reward."

Han Jue’s eyes curved happily. He hugged her a little tighter, clearly enjoying the comfort.

Hu Yan watched from the side, his tail drooping even lower.

’Why does he get all the rewards? I also worked hard!’

Su Qinglan comforted both of them softly before they packed up and headed back home.
