Chapter 66: Chapter 66 - Power of the spirits

Silas looked down at the tree from the air. He stood tall and masked his face with a serious expression.

He had ordered Luna to take a backseat from the mountain. He gave her a connection crystal and asked her to communicate with Earth Spirit from Eli’s group.

With the help of spirit and her mana concealment, she served as an observation tower for the operation treasure hunt.

Perhaps because she was alone with the mighty spirit, she was disheartened and almost didn’t want to do the job but Silas being a good boss, promised her money.

He was proud of himself. True passion for money was hard to find. One would think of the passion as the most common but in fact, everyone had a deeper goal of sorts.

Money was just a means or a way to achieve that goal.

’Or maybe I am being fooled by her.’ Silas thought and landed on the ground gently. His manner was elegant and he wore the most luxurious outfit possible.

He got the outfit because he begged Eli that it was crucial for the plan. And it was indeed crucial.

He adored a black attire with a strip of white on his shoulder. His belt was decorated with jewelry fitted for the noble. The one where he could buy the entire house with a single piece of rock.

His face was the same as usual, warped around tightly with the white bandages. With the four openings. His two eyes, nose to breath and mouth for eating.

Silas got used to his face already. So used to that, he sometimes forgot that he was wearing bandages.

He stepped on the hard ground and observed. There were no signs of people being here but he could feel gazes penetrating down his spine.

If look could kill, he would be dead.

"Haha. So much killing intent." Roland said from his side, his body full with energy, radiating out from him every step.

The energy given by his attacks.

His face was naughty as he glanced at Silas.

Silas shrugged and continued his walk. He purposely chose to land a bit away from the tree.

He then placed his hands on the invisible barrier and formed a soft smile. Feeling the pulsing wave of energy, he took back his hand and turned around to face Eli.

Eli was the same as usual, wearing the white cloth and tied his hair. He nodded with mixed feelings. He was still not convinced with Silas’s plan but decided to ignore his feelings in the matter.

After all, he was the one who told Silas about his goal of achieving the happy ending. Perhaps, he was too optimistic about the situation.

He raised his hand, calling upon the power of the spirits. He didn’t use his mana or power.

Because he knew it was futile effort, like trying to wet the ocean with a spit. If he seriously used his power, he could tear off the barrier but before that, the barrier would absorb the energy around it to fight off his attack..

He couldn’t allow that to happen. He didn’t know the roots of the barrier.

So the easiest was to use the power of the spirit. He wasn’t really keen on that. The reason was because the spirits needed a price to fulfill.

Usually, it came with a hug or kiss but he was too lazy to do it.

Eli looked down at his hands and saw spirits landing on his fingers, taking their seats. He smiled and whispered.

"I will give you a kiss, Oh spirits. So lend me your strength."

The spirits shone with brilliance and gave power to him.

Eli felt foreign energy creeping into his soul, powering him. His hand turned translucent, merging with the world itself. Various laws and theories were etched, intertwined and fused into his hand. His right hand.

Spirits’ art. World Ravager.

He walked up and touched the invisible wall.

His hand passed through.

With his hand, he could tear apart. He could reshape the nature of the world. Arrange the order. Truly the power of the world itself, worthy of spirits.

He then sliced down, creating an opening before him about his height. He then refused the connection and the Spirits’ art came to an end.

Eli turned and found the two dumbfounded expressions. He chuckled seeing their jaws hanging out.

Silas shook his head and let out a sigh. He couldn’t believe Eli could muster up this kind of power.

"Aren’t you the strongest mortal?" He said.

"I don’t know. The world is vast, Silas. Perhaps, I am. Perhaps, I am not."

"I suppose so." Silas muttered and looked at the newly formed entrance.

Because of Eli’s divine work, the barrier didn’t know about the opening. It was like creating a loophole in the Reality, convincing the surrounding that it had existed like that.

"Please, give me the tears." A feminine voice echoed out loud.

There was desperation barely hidden behind it.

Silas turned and saw Lynn, the elf named the witch. She stood in the air, literally. Treating the air as a stepping platform, she descended down with grace.

Silas squinted his eyes, observing the way she used her gift. Compression. A busted ability in the smart hand.

She compressed the air to a solid state and used it as a stair.

Lynn ignored Silas and looked at Eli. She assumed that the strongest person in this group would be the leader.

"Please, I need the tears. You and I are the same kind. I won’t take it for free. Here."

She took out a small bag and showed the content inside.

"I have the Dragon Blood. The purest there is, comes from the heart itself. I personally slayed and extracted the blood." Lynn said with confidence.

Eli shook his head, not even considering for a moment.

"Dragon blood can heal every wound in an instant and granted you an innate strength compared to the second circle physique without the use of the energy. Of course, it is ranked lower than the world’s tears but I have other medicines in the bag." Lynn said. The desperation was now visible.

"This one is for the mental effect. The potion is crafted by the ancient druid. This power is for the soul mending."

"I am sorry, Lynn." Eli said softly. "I out my bet on this human." For your happiness.

He omitted the last part.

She gave an uncharacteristic groan and said with a ginned teeth. "I also got a really potent vigor medicine. The stuff that will make your last in the bed for hours and hours without reducing your potency."
