Chapter 55: 055 | Finishing Off in Style & Bad News

Unaware of the event happened in last few minutes, Reyansh moved quickly deeper into the dungeon. This dungeon was like a dried orchard infected with parasites, giving off a smell of sulphur and fermented wood.

The monsters he faced at the start were Spore bats, monsters made of spores, twigs and dried leaves. He reverted back to katana in his both hands, efficiently slicing up the monsters.

The chat also remained mostly silent because everyone was waiting for the final moment, when he kills the boss and how fast could he kill.

As he went deeper, Reyansh faced off against Blight Treants, long monsters with stems as limbs.

Reyansh noticed the increasing number of Treants, he extended the length of both of his Katana. He cleaved any monster who stood in his way.

He glanced at the number of viewers as he neared the centre of dungeon.

’Just a little bit more,’ he thought as he was just twenty two viewers away from reaching his last requirement for activating the special perk.

’After this firstly, I would have to go to Hunter’s Council for my official ID then should I look for a doctor for mother or look for house, so Vanya could live more comfortably,’ he debated internally, making his plans ahead. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

This dungeon layout was much simple with the only interference being the smell and unexpected parasitized trunks and roots.

Reyansh’s katana went through them like sharp knife through paper, eliminating them with ease.

[Dread Fist: Will you stream tomorrow, Human?]

"Of course Dread Fist, I will be raiding my first Violet Rank gate tomorrow," Reyansh answered as he saw the question.

The density of dried and infected trees increased but they become more organized, like they were planted certain way.

’Very near the boss monster,’ Reyansh deduced as he noticed the changes.

[Raisena_Forge: So what would be bringing us tomorrow?]

"Well, every day is new day so you never know. I don’t have anything specific in mind but I promise it will be interesting." Reyansh answered as he sliced a Treant in multiple pieces.

[Ellise: I can trust on that, hoping for interesting day again. Now kill that boss already.]

"Thanks, Ellise," Reyansh replied as he moved forward. He glanced at the viewers count again, it read:

Reyansh picked up his pace as suddenly, the monsters stopped appearing, though his senses warned him about a powerful monster ahead.

’Boss monster probably,’ Reyansh pumped his legs faster.

The area became a clearing while the trees surrounded the boundary forming a fence. There he noticed a pulsing heart, made out of decayed wood and giving off an pungent smell.

There were multiple tentacles coming out of it, some of them were embedded in the ground while some swayed in air freely.

[Cat_Empress: Okay this is the creepiest of them all.]

[Anonimus_Assassin: But isn’t it just a seating target?]

[Mr_Blue_Volcano: No, I think it would have a strong defence mechanism.]

Just as Reyansh took a step closer, multiple monsters started forming from the vines, leaves and pointed thorns. They were called Thorn Guardian, as their job was to protect the boss monster, the Orchard Heart.

Within a moment, 15 Thorn Guardian rose up, ready to protect.

Each guardian were made of thick vines, reaching upto height of 10 ft, they were stationary but appeared ready to attack under threat.

He glanced at the viewer count again before taking any action, it read:

’Yes! All requirements complete.’

[Daoist_kun: You have 12 minutes bro, would you be able to reach the heart in time?]

Reyansh smirked at the question, "So now that we are at the end of the line. How about we finish off things in style?" he asked.

He reverted both katanas back and became empty handed.

[Dread Fist: You are not brawl, are you? That seem inefficient.]

Reyansh didn’t reply, instead he raised his right hand, with his index and middle finger aimed at The Orchard Heart while rest of his fingers remained curled up, forming a gun sign from his hand.

[Ramon_Night: What are you actually doing??]

He still didn’t say anything and just mentally commanded, Constellation Collapse, a signature skill of StarWalker’s Veil.

The entire area was blanketed in white color, his perception helped him identify the monsters or environment around him in the plain white area.

He had to choose a target in his perception range, he didn’t stretch it further and choose only one target, The Orchard Heart.

The next moment everything returned normal except suddenly, the boss monster represented by the Heart, imploded, dying immediately.

Reyansh lowered his hand, as the monster died, all the Thorn Guardians simply withered in the air, turning to dust.

Reyansh exhaled like he could finally be himself again with no worry about reaction of others. The portal had appeared at few steps away, but he wanted to take his time before exiting the dungeon.

He took out a new set of dress and changed from his current half destroyed clothes. While he was changing his clothes, he received another notification.

He glanced at the notification, bringing a joy to his face.

Reyansh waited excitedly, though he didn’t felt any change in himself yet. A second later, another notification chimed in.

"Holy Shit!" his eyes widened, he had expected but seeing in happening was still a bit overwhelming. He was tempted to check out his talent immediately.

But he reined in his emotions as he exited the dungeon and walked towards the cab.

"This was the last of the dungeon today, next destination is Hunter’s Council. You can take it easy and nice driving, tell about the extra payment at the end," he addressed the driver.

"You paid generously that’s more than enough," driver responded with a smile as he started the cab, taking the direction of Hunter’s Council.

Without wasting a moment, he opened the panel mentally to check his evolved talent.
