Cosmic Patron System: 100X Return on Every Reward
Chapter 68 - 0 | The Death of Hope
The silence stretched for about 30 seconds after Jai asked the question. The viewers and Jai waited for the answers alike.
"Now, that’s a very interesting question you have asked, Guildmaster Jai. However, the answer is simple enough, I am strong because I am simply me." Reyansh answered as he extended both his hands outwards.
[Fiery_Redina: I have a complaint for first time, all that suspense for such a roundabout answer.]
[Dread Fist: I thought I would get to know how a human is so proficient with brute force.]
[Ent_Lord_345: I was wondering, if he was going to tell us about his talent or something.]
[Storm_Knight: Did you guys actually thought he was going to tell that....hahaha.]
[Anonimus_Assassin: One can dream.]
Reyansh watched in silence as the chat reacted while Jai looked at him with fury that wanted to kill Reyansh just by looking.
"What happened Guildmaster, you don’t look satisfied with my answer, some of viewers are feeling that too."
"Tell you what, if you can defeat me, then you’ll learn the answer." He suggested a solution.
"Ju-Just kill me" Jai whispered.
"C’mon, I thought you were stalling for time for intervention by authorities. Let’s do one more round, I will even up the reward for you." Reyansh spoke.
[Raisena_Forge: Don’t you mean punishment?]
[Maxx_Jane: At this point, I think both are same for him.]
"If you answer the question right, I will heal you up completely then we can fight properly, how about it?"
Suddenly, a flicker of hope ignited in Jai’s dead eyes.
[Ramon_Night: This is going to be my favorite part.]
[Mr_Blue_Volcano: This doesn’t seem like it is going in right direction.]
"Are really going to give me a fighting chance?" Jai asked, his impatience burning up.
’Don’t worry, you bastard, you will die when I want, not when you demand it,’ Reyansh thought
"Now, don’t be impatient. First question, do you think you deserve to live?" he asked.
"Yes," Jai answered like it was the only right answer.
[Clinoma_Rin: Well, that should be lie right?]
[Ellise: I don’t think so, he clearly has no regret for his actions. So, he is telling truth, at least that’s what he thinks.] 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
’She is right,’ Reyansh noted the comment.
"Second question, why? Why do you deserve to live after everything you did? You want a fighting chance, tell me," he asked, his tone heavy.
That brought a pause in him, his mind lost in thoughts, like he was reaching for words that could free him. After more than twenty seconds, suddenly Jai looked up to Reyansh and saw him waiting patiently.
’He didn’t hit me, even after 20 seconds. Do I really have a chance to fight for myself?’ Jai wondered.
[Diamond_King: Isn’t he going a bit off script?]
[Raisena_Forge: It sure is feeling like that and that makes it even more interesting.]
"Guildmaster Jai," the voice, cold as ice reached his ears.
"Ahh...sorry, I should get a chance to live because I am a hunter, my strength is useful for humanity." Jai stated with a hint of pride.
"I am a guildmaster and many new hunters depends on me. I clear gates that break around this area." He added.
"And...and...I give my money to orphanage to help raise kids in a safe environment."
[Raisena_Forge: Wait, is this guy for real?]
[Dread Fist: I am now just waiting for how it end.]
[Ellise: Wow, he really think he is too important to die but I guess whatever authorities are in StarWalker’s world, they didn’t think so.]
"Well, your reasons are compelling enough," Reyansh remarked as he put his hand under his chin, appearing thoughtful.
[Ramon_Night: Let me tell you guys, he is playing with that man. Don’t think for a second that the man has any chance to live.]
"And what about the people you hurt guildmaster?" He asked.
For a second panic spread across Jai’s face, like he was trying to come with best excuse possible.
"I-I will atone for whatever crimes I have committed in ignorance and help the victims. I will give up my savings, I am ready to do anything....just let me live please." Jai spoke, his eyes teary.
’Look at this bastard, ignorance, huh?’ Reyansh thought.
The remaining half potion bottle flew forward again, Jai opened his mouth as Reyansh poured directly with his telekinesis.
"Do you really promise to atone and help the people, Guildmaster?" Reyansh asked as he poured the potion in his mouth.
[Anonimus_Assassin: Okay, this is getting real confusing. Is he really going to kill him or what?]
[Ent_Lord_345: Well, @Ramon_Night said that he will kill him but I am starting to have doubts for real.]
[Ramon_Night: Giving him potion was not in my thought but let’s wait and see.]
"Yes...yes...definitely, I will start now. The kidnappers that tried to kidnap the girl today were Abbas Mohammed and Zaheer Mohammed." Jai started singing like a canary as he finished the potion.
"Most of the plan was made by them, I only get to know after it happened. I even scolded them and my secretary, he was the one who did many thing behind my back." He went on like he had found a new strength.
"Please, take out this sword, it’s getting close to my every second," he pleaded.
’Wow, he really is delusional,’ Reyansh thought as he walked a step closer.
’Yes...take out this sword...first thing I will do is help the Hunter’s Council to catch you.’ Jai thought, watching Reyansh step closer.
’This much torture isn’t enough for scum like you, but it’s already been half an hour and there are no sign of officials from Hunter’s council. I wonder how that’s possible? Who has such power?’ Reyansh wondered.
’And if I stretch this too far, there’s a chance he would be termed martyr even after all his deeds. So it’s better to finish off now,’ He thought as he took one more step.
’Yes take out this sword and free me from this nightmare. I want to live,’ Jai’s thoughts raced.
’You die,’ Reyansh stated internally.
The next moment, Jai something invisible touching his skin, cutting through his neck. The hope in Jai’s eyes shattered into despair at that exact moment.
"The Game ends," Reyansh announced as Jai’s head rolled on the floor, blood gushed out of his body like a fountain, still pinned by the Katana.
[Ramon_Night: I KNEW IT, he gave him one of the cruelest death possible. The death of hope, it is termed, generally.]
[Dread Fist: That felt somehow oddly satisfying after his proclamation of how important he is.]
[Raisena_Forge: That’s true, only at S-rank and this much ego. I think the ceiling of low level world is at SSS-rank and this man’s audacity was through the sky.]
[Ellise: That’s one of the reason he didn’t felt guilty about destroying innocence life.]
"Thank you for joining me again. I know this wasn’t expected but I had to do it. Before I end this stream, I want to leave a message today, a warning." Reyansh addressed the stream.
"Touch those close to me... and this game becomes your reality. And believe me, you won’t win."
"So, that’s it folks, I will be back again tomorrow though I maybe a bit late. See you in the next dungeon, StarWalker SIGNING OFF," he spoke, giving a courtesy bow.
[The Stream has ended.]
