Chapter 141: Chapter 141: King’s Rage

Adrian turned around, his cold eyes turned a bit warmer. He took a step forward and reached out.

Annie took a step back, Adrian paused. She was shaking, she gripped her own hands in front of her chest.

A common action for anxious or terrified people. ’ What the hell did I expect.’ he pulled his back his arm and looked down.

The fear in her eyes was apparent for all to see, she was looking at him like she was seeing a monster.

Crack, the barrier cracked, Adrian had created a hole when he came in and the barrier can no longer hold on.

Especially since it caster was dead. As soon as the barrier fell down, the state of the street and her house became apparent.

A car suddenly pulled up, he smelled a familiar scent and felt a feeling of disgust well up inside him.

In his current emotional state, he didn’t trust himself not to do something stupid. He took a deep breath.

The car stopped next to Annie and a guy around their age came out. She looked at her with caring eyes.

Adrian gave him a single glance, the thought of ripping him to shreds appeared briefly in his mind.

Then he took another deep breath and looked at her. The look she was giving him was strange.

It wasn’t exactly what he would expect to see from somebody in love but it held a hint of affection.

Perhaps familiarity, Adrian couldn’t tell but it was still much better than the fearful look she gave him.

’ I guess she doesn’t recognise me anymore, I should’ve expected that, this is for the best, this is for the best.’

He looked at Cyril again, " Thank you, please take care of her." His words confused Cyril who stood defensively in front of Annie.

Athi sighed and came out of the house, she covered Suki with a blanket and gave the other two some rags.

They covered themselves and turned back into their human forms. Adrian looked up and a single tear fell down his eye.

Before anybody could say anything, a gust of wind hit them in the face. Adrian was gone, all he left behind was a crater.

Seeing this, Cyril couldn’t hold back anymore and found himself on his knees, his legs were shaking.

" Wha..who the hell was that? How can..that.. that’s physically impossible." He muttered to himself.

Annie looked at where Adrian had stood and failed to hold herself together. A flood if tears fell off her face like rain.

She tried to hide her cries but everybody could hear the muffles. Cyril stood up with shaking legs and hugged her.

Athi watched this and sighed again, " He’s really accepted it this time hasn’t he?" He asked the others.

They nodded, this was the first time they saw any tears from their king, they knew he had made a hard decision.

At the same time.

Adrian was jumping from building to building like a guided missile. His eyes were as cold as ice.

Athi and the others were right, he had finally accepted it. This was closest she had been to being hurt because of him.

He couldn’t bring himself to stay with her knowing his existence will bring nothing but trouble for her.

Also, the way she looked at him solidified everything. He was a monster, he didn’t deserve her.

That human boy was a much better match for her, he could make her much happier than Adrian ever could.

BOOOOOM, the ground shattered and stone fragments flew everywhere. Adrian appeared back on the battlefield.

He saw each werewolf being besieged by multiple vampires. His pack was struggling and outnumbered.

The level 3 vampires were too strong, especially for the omega werewolves. His appearance froze the battles.

The woman named Naija went in her knees and clasped her hands together interlocking her fingers.

Tears streamed down below the cloth covering her eyes. Adrian could hear her whispers and she was praying to him.

He shook his head and ignored her, right now he was feeling very murderous. His presence too the pressure off the vampires.

Sam and the other Gemma werewolves retreated and stood around him. They all had varying levels of wounds.

With the exception of the could Suzie and John, John’s defence was absolutely insane and he protected Suzie plus her own barrier.

He saw an omega werewolves with such gruesome wounds she were basically on the brink of death.

" What happened?" He asked. Suzie bowed her massive woke head, he could see the guilt in her eyes.

" Forgive me my lord, I failed to lead them properly." She tried to apologise but he just felt impatient.

" What happened?" He asked again in a much colder voice, Suzie seemed to take that as him being angry.

" My lord I..we were outnumbered and she was forced to take on a level 3 baron by herself.

Unfortunately she wasn’t his match." She told him with a guilty voice but she had misunderstood.

Adrian was not blaming her, he was angry with her, he was angry at the damned vampires who dared to touch his family.

A vampire suddenly launched an attack at the fallen werewolf. Adrian moved, he grabbed the blood spike with his bare hands and crushed it.

He looked down at her and remembered her face. " Her name is Lexie am I correct?" He asked and the man standing next to her nodded.

" What is yours?" He asked the massive guy but he just went on one knee and bowed to him.

" My lord, this lowly one had long forsaken his name, with your grace I was born anew and thus deserve another name befitting that of your servant."

Adrian didn’t understand the man’s thought but he nodded anyways. " So be it then I shall grant you a name."

The man shook his head, " It would be an honour my lord but I mean no offence, I do not deserve to be named by your noble self.

I am not worthy of such grace, if you grant me a name now I shall forever feel unworthy so I beg you my lord to not as that would be torture."

" You are strange man, then so be it." Adrian poured his blood into the woman’s mouth. The wound on her neck started healing.

He then realised her head should’ve been cut off but it seems when faced with death she did the impossible.

She actively used her moon esper to strengthen a part of neck preventing it from being completely cut off.

Unlike Adrian losing their heads would kill the others. Adrian started laughing which confused the others.

" You did well." He told the unconscious woman and closed her eyes, healing will take too long for her.

In fact there was still a chance she might not make it. " Handle her with care." He commanded the others.

Then he faced the vampires and the softness in his eyes disappeared, it was replaced by a deep coldness and rage.

" You should not have touched my family, that will be your last mistake." All the vampires saw the illusion of a falling moon.
