Chapter 216: Chapter 216: Delusion

Gia Miller toyed with the small knife in her hand, a cold smile on her face. "Don’t blame me, sister-in-law. If you have to blame someone, blame Tristan Grayson. He’s the one who forced me to do this. And another thing... do you know why I went to the hospital today?"

"What?"

Gia’s hand went to her own stomach, but her vicious gaze was fixed on Mika Summers’s belly. "I went to the hospital to get an abortion today. My baby... was gone from here just an hour ago. So why should you get to have a child?"

"An abortion? You went to the hospital for an abortion?" It felt like a bomb had gone off in Mika’s head, and a sharp pain immediately seized her chest.

"Yes, I got an abortion. And do you know whose baby it was, sister-in-law?"

Mika’s face was deathly pale. She felt like she was going to die from the pain in her heart, but she still clung to a sliver of hope as she asked, "Who?"

"Who else could it be but Tristan?" Gia tilted her head back and gave a desolate smile, her voice laced with a hint of sorrow. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

’Who else could it be but Tristan?’ The words completely shattered Mika’s heart. She fought to suppress her emotions, shaking her head in a desperate attempt to stay calm. "That’s not possible. How could Tristan be with you?" ’Tristan loves Maggie so much, how could he possibly be with Gia? He never even touched me during our entire three years of marriage.’

"Heh, why not? That night, Tristan was drunk. We spent a passionate night together in a hotel, and I got pregnant. I just never thought he could be so heartless as to disown his own child."

"Stop talking. This is between you and him. I don’t want to hear it." Mika clutched her head, shaking it frantically.

Gia’s eyes were bloodshot as she yanked Mika’s hands away from her head. "No, you have to listen. This is how Tristan held me, caressed my body, and whispered my name. He made me lower my guard and give myself completely to him."

"Stop it! Stop it! What are you doing?" Gia had forced Mika’s hand onto her own chest. Mika struggled with all her might, but she couldn’t break free.

Gia’s lips curled into a sneer as she released Mika’s struggling hand. Her breathing was slightly ragged, but her voice was cold and hard. "Did you really think that just because you’re pregnant, Tristan would love you and get back together with you, sister-in-law? Heh. Let me tell you, don’t kid yourself. The only person Tristan will ever love is Maggie."

"I don’t care who Tristan loves! That has nothing to do with me. Tristan and I are divorced. We have nothing to do with each other. Gia, what you’re doing is pointless. I have no sway over him, so please, just let me go." Mika was terrified. All she wanted was to sever any connection to Tristan. ’Gia is a psycho.’ The memory of what Gia had just done made her skin crawl. She felt utterly disgusted, tainted to her very core.

"Heh, you think I’ll let you go just because you say you’re divorced? My child is gone, so yours shouldn’t exist either..." Gia reached for Mika’s stomach, a mocking sneer on her face.

"This is my child! Mine alone! He has nothing to do with Tristan. If you want revenge, don’t take it out on my baby." ’Why should my child have to pay for Tristan’s mistakes?’

A cold, calculating light filled Gia’s eyes. "Is that so? Well, if the baby has nothing to do with Tristan, then I suppose I shouldn’t hurt it."

"Right! You shouldn’t, you shouldn’t..."

"Mm-hmm. Don’t worry, I won’t hurt it. I’ll just find someone to take *real good care* of you and your child." As she spoke, she pulled out her phone and started to make a call.
