Chapter 254: Chapter 254: The Old Residence

Caleb Grayson barked, his voice thick with disappointment, "Of course she’s at her home! You were the one who wanted the divorce. Now you’re worried? Now you decide to look for her?"

"She came to our house today?" Tristan Grayson felt a crushing weight on his chest, and he could barely breathe.

Caleb Grayson nodded, his expression growing even darker than before. "Tristan, I need you to do something. If you can’t get this done, I’ll disown you!"

"Dad, what is it?" Tristan Grayson suppressed the storm of emotions swirling inside him.

"I want you to find out what happened to Archie Summers. No matter what trouble he’s in, you must ensure he’s safe. This is a debt we owe their family. Tristan, you can’t disappoint your mother and me again."

Tristan Grayson’s lips suddenly twisted into a sarcastic smirk. "So, she sent the baby back because she wants us to help her brother?"

"Whatever her reasons, it’s a debt we owe their family."

"Dad, I know what to do," Tristan Grayson replied coldly. He glanced at Kiki, who was still wailing in the stroller, and his brow furrowed tightly again.

’Am I really so worthless in her eyes? Or is it that hard for her to just ask me for help? So hard that she’d be ruthless enough to send our baby back, a baby this young?’

He let out a self-deprecating laugh, then leaned down and carefully lifted the baby out of the stroller. "Tiana, you’re coming with me."

"Huh? Where are we going?"

"To take the baby back," Tristan Grayson said coldly, walking toward the door with the child in his arms.

’This is my son. I can’t stand to see him crying like this. Besides, a child this young shouldn’t be separated from his mother.’

’She might be heartless enough, but I’m not.’

"Oh, wait for me!" Tiana called out, jogging to catch up with Tristan.

Seeing Tristan about to leave with Kiki, Mae Lynch shouted frantically, "Tristan, are you crazy? That’s your son! Where are you taking him? Put him down this instant!"

"Mom, you saw for yourself. He’s so little; he can’t be away from his mother. If I don’t take him back, are we supposed to just watch him cry all night?"

"But he’s my grandson! He’s not going anywhere! So what if he cries? Which one of you didn’t cry when you were little!"

Caleb Grayson pulled his wife back, a headache forming. "Alright, that’s enough. If Tristan wants to take Kiki back, just let him. Kiki’s been crying all afternoon. Weren’t you getting fed up with it too?" ’If he really cries all night, none of us will get any rest.’

"I... I was just heartbroken for Kiki..."

Tristan ignored his parents. He took a jacket hanging by the door, draped it over Kiki, and left the house.

Tiana sighed and followed him out.

Once in the car, Tiana held Kiki while Tristan just sat there, staring blankly at the baby.

’None of this feels real. It’s all happened so suddenly, so surreally...’

"Bro?" Tiana finally spoke up when she saw Tristan wasn’t starting the car.

"Hm?"

"Aren’t you going to drive?"

"Tiana, call your sister-in-law and ask her where she’s staying now."

"Oh..."

About forty-something minutes later, Tristan pulled up to a villa in the Eastmere District.

"Bro, why is she staying at our old family home?" Tiana asked after getting out of the car, her brows knitted together.

"Don’t ask so many questions. Just hurry up and take the baby back to her."

Tiana pouted. "I was just asking."

After getting the call from Tiana, Mika Summers had been sitting by the villa’s gate, waiting. The moment she saw Tiana arriving with the baby, she jogged over to meet them...

She had only been away from Kiki for the better part of a day, but the separation felt as agonizing as if a century had passed.
