Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 263: Dart
「Siren’s Night」
Leo Joyce held a hand of cards, a cigarette dangling from his other hand, as he shot Cassian Jennings a mocking look.
"Master Jennings, you’re taking forever to make your move. You’re not scared of losing, are you?"
"Heh... What a joke. I’m just worried you’ll lose too badly." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Oh? Is that so? Master Jennings, we made a deal. Whoever loses has to be the human... dart... board."
"I’m a man of my word."
"In that case, play your card."
Cassian Jennings gave a cold smile and played a pair of Aces. "Big enough for you?"
"It’s decent..." Looking at the cards on the table, Leo Joyce’s lips curled into a smirk. He took a drag from his cigarette and replied nonchalantly.
Cassian Jennings’s brow furrowed slightly. "Pair of eights."
"Pass," Leo Joyce said, glancing at his own hand. A sharp glint flashed in his eyes as he uttered the single word coldly.
"Pair of sixes."
"Play again!"
Seeing that Leo Joyce still had no intention of playing, Cassian Jennings’s brow tightened. ’Is he doing this on purpose?’
’It’s one thing if he couldn’t beat my first two pairs, but he won’t even play on this one?’
"Master Jennings, can you hurry it up? I can’t wait to see you become a human... dart... board."
"A single two."
"Small Joker!"
Cassian Jennings’s expression turned grim. "Pass."
"Master Jennings, take another look. Are you sure you can’t beat it, or are you *really* sure?" Leo Joyce said with a wicked sneer, slowly rising from his stool.
"I’m sure." ’His highest card was a King; there was no way he could beat a Joker.’
"Good. In that case, I won’t be polite. A pair of threes with a single, and the Big Joker." As he spoke, Leo Joyce slammed his cards down on the table one by one. "How about it, Master Jennings? Can you beat this or not?"
Cassian Jennings gave a self-deprecating laugh and threw his own hand onto the table. "You win."
"Heh heh. Men! Tie Master Jennings up securely, then bring me the darts! You’re all in for a real show tonight." ’Ever since Amelia Avery left, he’d been itching to teach Cassian Jennings a brutal lesson. But before she left, Amelia had told him not to make a move. This time, however, he hadn’t been the one to pick a fight. Cassian Jennings had walked right into this, practically begging for it. He couldn’t be blamed for what happened next.’
In no time at all, his men had strapped Cassian Jennings to the circular board.
A tray of darts lay on a nearby table. Leo Joyce picked one up, a wicked smirk playing on his lips. "My aim isn’t the best, Master Jennings. So if you don’t mind, I think I’ll wear a blindfold..."
"A bet’s a bet. Do as you please," Cassian Jennings said with a disdainful sneer, showing not a single trace of fear.
"Good! You’ve got guts! Master Jennings really has a backbone after all. Get me a black cloth."
"Yes, sir."
As the "game" became more and more intense, a few of the more timid women covered their eyes, too scared to look, while others began to scream with excitement.
Leo Joyce, now blindfolded, aimed the dart in Cassian Jennings’s general direction. A cold smile spread across his lips as he threw it with a flick of his wrist...
A moment later, a sharp THWACK echoed through the room. The dart had landed perfectly, right beside Cassian Jennings’s head.
If Cassian Jennings had flinched just then, the dart would have embedded itself not in the board behind him, but in his head...
"AHHH!"
"Ooh~ Wow! Young Master Joyce is incredible!"
...In an instant, the room was filled with the excited screams of the women watching.
