The Velsra walked through the door, and Reiji prepared himself for something exciting.

But as it passed through, nothing happened.

"Maybe he got erased."

Thinking about it, Reiji’s grin widened as he rushed through the door.

Reiji looked around, but the Velsra was nowhere to be seen. "It really works! This might be the ultimate jackpot for killing monsters."

"What works, Your Majesty?"

Reiji froze. ’No. It’s a freaking hallucination...’

"Please do tell this humble servant of yours." Vel’s voice sounded again.

Reiji slowly turned his head.

"Why the hell didn’t you die?"

"Why would I die? Wait... you wanted me to die?!" Vel stared at Reiji as he slowly backed away.

"Well, duh..."

"Why, My Lord?"

"For a noble cause."

"What noble cause would make you let me give up my life by walking through a door?"

"For science..."

"Who is she?!"

"She’s not a she. I mean, it’s not a she."

"Then why would I die for something that isn’t even a person?"

Reiji rubbed his temples, not wanting to explain.

The door closed with a thunderous sound and disappeared.

Reiji stared at the familiar living room and felt at peace. After all the fighting and near-death experiences, he was finally home.

Vel stared at the house in awe.

It wasn’t the first time he had seen a cave, but it was definitely the most beautiful and well-designed one he had ever seen.

"Hmmm... As expected of My Lord," Vel muttered.

"Hey, come back here."

Reiji sounded annoyed as Vel walked around the house with his dirty bare feet.

"I think I should send you back to the Palace of the Dominion King."

"Huh?"

"Oh... But I want to stay by your side, My Lord."

Vel gave him a pitiful look.

"The way you look, if my girlfriend sees you, she’ll probably kill you before you can run away."

Vel felt his spine tingle.

"But what’s a girlfriend?"

Reiji picked up his phone from the couch and began scrolling.

Vel’s voice became nervous as he looked around, worried that his Lord’s girlfriend might suddenly appear.

Reiji showed Vel a picture of a cute, chubby yellow cat.

Reiji had picked this type of cat because Hina loved chubby cats. He had also picked it because of the cat’s color since it matched Vel’s.

"I love it, My Lord. It’s very cute..."

The Velsra said, wiping tears from his eyes as a golden light immediately enveloped him.

After the light faded, Vel had completely transformed into the exact cat from the picture.

It looked as though the picture itself had come to life.

Reiji cringed as he stared at Vel.

Reiji gritted his teeth in anger.

If not for Vel’s current form, he would have given him a good beating.

As the food entered Vel’s mouth, his eyes couldn’t help but widen in pure bliss.

Vel didn’t even mind Reiji’s taunt and continued devouring the food.

Reiji immediately tensed up as he stared at the door.

Hina was supposed to come back in three months, and it hadn’t even been a week.

Even if Hina decided to run away from the trip, Reiji knew his own mother would track her down and drag her back.
