Dragon Blood Saint Emperor
Chapter 201 - 202: Killing Intent Appears
SWOOSH! SWOOSH!
The group of Fiery Sun Sect disciples also noticed the crowd. They soared through the air at incredible speed, closing the distance in an instant.
"We’ve been spotted! Run!"
The expressions on everyone’s faces changed as they scrambled to retreat.
"Trying to run?" The Fiery Sun Sect disciples watched the fleeing crowd with disdain. They exchanged cold smirks, then quickly split into two teams, flanking them and encircling the entire group in the center.
It wasn’t that the crowd was slow. It was that the Fiery Sun Sect disciples were simply too powerful. Three of them were at the True Essence Sixth Layer, while the rest were at the Fourth and Fifth Layers. Moreover, they practiced Fire Element Techniques, which made them feel right at home in this environment. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
"Another group of Loose Cultivators. Looks like we’ll be earning some points today." Gazing at the group in the center, the Fiery Sun Sect disciples sneered. They looked upon them like a flock of lambs, their eyes burning with greed.
"Don’t kill us! We’ll leave right now."
Many of their faces twisted in alarm, and they huddled together. If the Fiery Sun Sect disciples attacked, they wouldn’t stand a chance. Their only fate would be slaughter.
"Leave?"
Upon hearing this, the Fiery Sun Sect disciples burst into laughter. "Just a bunch of Loose Cultivators," one mocked. "Weak people with worthless lives. You’re only good for points. Now, hand over your heads obediently."
As they spoke, killing intent flared from the Fiery Sun Sect disciples, and they began to close in.
"No! Don’t kill us!" The crowd panicked, pleading desperately. But it was useless. They could only turn to Su Mu with expressions full of hope. "Brother Su, save us!"
Su Mu said nothing, his face grim. He might have been able to handle one cultivator at the True Essence Sixth Layer, but the Fiery Sun Sect had three of them. How could he possibly be their match?
’If I make a move, it will be the death of me. Dying for these people... it’s not worth it!’
SWOOSH!
He immediately identified a relatively weak point in their encirclement and seized the opportunity to break through. The faces of the crowd changed again—Su Mu had actually abandoned them and was escaping alone.
"So there was a slightly stronger piece of trash. But trying to escape from us? Dream on!" The three True Essence Sixth Layer disciples from the Fiery Sun Sect also made their move, instantly crossing the space to surround Su Mu from three different directions.
Seeing the three True Essence Sixth Layer cultivators blocking his path, Su Mu had no choice but to retreat, his expression ugly. "Everyone, there’s no need to be so ruthless. If we fight to the death, you won’t come out unscathed either. Why not let us go this once? If we ever meet again, we’ll be sure to give you a wide berth."
"Fight to the death?" Hearing this, the three True Essence Sixth Layer disciples laughed coldly and glanced at each other. One of them said frostily, "You’re right. If you fight to the death, we might suffer some losses. However, all of you will die here."
"So you’re saying you have no intention of letting us go?" Su Mu’s face darkened as his mind raced, trying to figure out a way to escape.
"Originally, we weren’t going to let anyone go. But we’ve just changed our minds," one of the True Essence Sixth Layer disciples sneered. "If you kill them for us, we’ll let you live."
The crowd’s expressions changed drastically. A young man standing next to Su Mu said anxiously, "Brother Su, don’t listen to them! If you kill us, you’ll be next! This way, they can wipe us all out without lifting a finger and just reap the rewards. If we fight our way out with all our strength, we might just have a chance to live!"
PFFT!
However, the moment the words left his mouth, Su Mu abruptly drew a longsword and cleaved down, splitting the young man in two. Blood sprayed out instantly.
"I accept your offer!"
A vicious glint appeared in Su Mu’s eyes. ’First, kill them and create chaos. Then, I can use the confusion to escape.’
SCHLICK!
SCHLICK!
In that instant, while the crowd was still stunned, Su Mu moved swiftly, cutting down one young cultivator after another. The hearts of the onlookers turned to ice.
Moments ago, they had revered Su Mu as their Guardian God. In the blink of an eye, he had become the butcher slaughtering them. The irony was as sharp as their fear.
"You monster! You monster! Let’s fight them to the death!"
The crowd, wild with regret, went berserk. They decided that if they were going to die, they would take someone down with them.
BOOM!
Immediately, the crowd charged madly toward the nearby Fiery Sun Sect disciples. Terrifying torrents of energy erupted like tidal waves, blasting in one direction.
The Fiery Sun Sect disciples in that direction looked startled and moved to block the attack.
Seeing this, a flicker of joy crossed Su Mu’s face. This was exactly the chaos he wanted. Only in the midst of confusion would he have a chance to escape.
But just as he was about to flee, he noticed a white-robed figure standing quietly in the middle of the crowd. His robes fluttered, his black hair danced in the wind, and his handsome face was a mask of serene calm.
It was as if this life-or-death situation couldn’t stir the slightest panic in him. He calmly swept his gaze over the members of the Fiery Sun Sect.
’Is this kid scared stupid? Perfect. I’ll take his head before I leave.’
Su Mu sneered. His body flashed, and he swung his longsword in a horizontal slash. A brilliant Sword Light erupted, aimed at tearing Ye Wushuang to pieces.
At this very moment, however, Ye Wushuang wasn’t paying attention to any of that. He was searching for Yang Dingtian.
He had heard from Xifeng that the one who had come to the desert to find something was the Fiery Sun Sect’s strongest disciple, Yang Dingtian. Yet, while he had found a group of Fiery Sun Sect disciples, Yang Dingtian was nowhere to be seen.
This puzzled Ye Wushuang.
’The strongest disciple gathered the Sect’s members in such a short time to search for something in this desert. It seems he didn’t just come prepared; that thing he’s after must be extraordinary.’
"Die!"
Su Mu’s icy voice reached Ye Wushuang’s ears as a ferocious killing intent washed over him like a tidal wave.
Ye Wushuang had already sensed him. Putting aside his thoughts, he calmly executed Floating Light and Shadow. He flickered away like a phantom, causing Su Mu’s attack to strike nothing but air.
"I let it slide the last few times, but you just don’t know what’s good for you. You deserve to die!"
His body flashed back as Ye Wushuang pushed off his toes, soaring upward against the heavens.
Suddenly, a cold glint shot from his eyes. A violent surge of True Essence erupted from him as he slammed his hands together: Dragon Emperor Mountain Sealing Stamp!
A brilliant golden Dragon Seal descended from the sky, instantly suppressing Su Mu!
How could Su Mu have ever imagined Ye Wushuang was so powerful? Caught completely off guard, his body was suppressed, and his feet, feeling as if they were filled with lead, sank into the ground.
’Die!’
He drew his Dragon Blood Battle Saber, imbued it with Invincible Saber Intent, and instantly slashed down. Powered by eighty-one Qi Vortexes, the blade descended in a vertical chop.
Ye Wushuang held nothing back. So what if Su Mu had been careless? This was a kill. He wouldn’t give his enemy a single moment to react. The only way was to use his full power and deliver a fatal blow.
Instantly, a blood-red saber light bloomed, and for a split second, the sky flashed brightly.
"AHH!"
A shrill, bloodcurdling scream followed, piercing the Firmament and echoing in everyone’s ears, causing them all to turn their heads.
In that instant, the crowd saw that their so-called Guardian God, Su Mu, an expert at the True Essence Sixth Layer, had been cleaved in two by a single slash from the white-robed figure, killed instantly.
And wasn’t this white-robed figure the very same Ye Wushuang they had dismissed as prey, someone they were planning to hunt?
Gazing at the figure in the sky holding the blood-red Battle Saber, everyone felt a jolt. Their hearts felt as if they had been struck by a lump of Refined Iron, and for a moment, they couldn’t breathe.
