Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1256 - 1295: How Much Do You Like It
Once he finished peeling the shrimp shells, Kyle Kinston placed the shrimp meat into his daughter’s bowl and picked up another shrimp to peel.
Not long after, his daughter’s bowl was full of shrimp meat. There was no denying it—his speed at peeling shrimp was far faster than hers, and the shrimp he peeled looked so neat and pretty. He even removed the vein from the shrimp back with such a clean and swift action, way better than her technique.
Mabel Quinn could only console herself; Kyle grew up by the sea and definitely ate more shrimp than she did, so naturally he was better at peeling shrimp.
The little one didn’t forget to add, "Daddy peels shrimp prettier than Mommy does."
Mabel Quinn was rendered speechless.
"Why aren’t you eating?" Kyle asked Mabel after finishing his peeling.
Mabel quickly lowered her head and ate her meal. As she was eating, some peeled shrimp fell into her bowl. She looked up in surprise to be greeted by Kyle’s casual remark, "By the way." He implied that after peeling shrimp for their daughter, he peeled some for her too.
"I can peel them myself just fine," she said somewhat uneasily.
"Your peeling is too ugly; the shrimp would probably cry," he replied.
"..." Please, what kind of remark is that! Yet, the little one giggled beside her, saying, "From now on, Ivy will peel shrimp for Mommy." With that, the little one attempted to mimic Kyle’s shrimp-peeling manner.
At this moment, Mabel was unsure whether to say her daughter was sweet or that she was empowering Kyle’s smugness. However, this certainly made the meal less dull.
After finishing dinner, the little one went to wash her hands as usual. Kyle brought her over to the sink, but there wasn’t a special stool for her there, and she clearly couldn’t reach the sink.
Kyle directly lifted the little one up, then she herself pressed the pump for the hand soap and smoothly washed her hands clean.
"Smells nice." The little one flaunted her freshly washed hands in front of Kyle.
Looking at this adorable little girl, Kyle’s face broke into a genuine smile, unguarded, a sincere little smile from the heart.
"Daddy’s smile is so pretty. Ivy likes Daddy’s smile. Mommy will like Daddy’s smile too," the little one said.
"Really?" Kyle turned his head towards Mabel, who was standing aside watching, "When I smile, do you like it?"
This question completely caught Mabel off guard. She originally just wanted to see how well her daughter had washed her hands, but who knew that she’d be posed such a question.
At this moment, looking at her daughter’s bright eyes, Mabel could only muster her courage and say, "I... I like it."
"Really?" Kyle walked over with their daughter in his arms, getting closer to Mabel, "How much do you like it?"
Mabel glared at Kyle; he knew well that she answered like that just for their daughter’s sake.
"Won’t say? If you don’t tell me, then I..." His voice suddenly stopped, his body seemed to tremble, and then his hand which was holding their daughter loosened, causing the little one to slip from his arms.
Mabel was startled and quickly reached out to catch their daughter. Luckily, they were close enough, and the incident turned out to be a close call.
