Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 220: Yurian’s Memories
Two days had passed since they had returned from Fritez City and Aselia was still in an ominous mood. Yurian tried a few times to cheer her up but her mood didn’t improve. This had him over the edge and his anxiety was spiking.
They were in the cafeteria having lunch when another hunter informed him that Wasp was back from a collective team mission. Three teams were merged and sent against some rogue vampires and since Yurian wasn’t here, Wasp accompanied them.
"Partner, I have to go inform Wasp about the partner change. She is going to create a fuss so stay here and I will deal with her alone," Yurian told her while getting up.
"Ok, be back soon though, we have training later, and if she gave you any trouble I will come for her," Aselia informed him while taking a bite out of a chicken piece.
"Stay calm, I don’t want you venting your anger on anyone else other than a punching bag or me," he said before leaving and Aselia was left wondering if she had been using him like a punching bag. Taking out her frustration on him, lashing out at tiny disputes, just because he wouldn’t complain. Nothing was his fault, she needed to do better with him.
Now that her status was restored, people had begun to gradually fall in line. Most of them would greet her with respect, but there were still a few who held resentments but dared not openly express them. Told her so much that people only cared about ranks and statuses and not the person. In hardships only one would discover who was loyal to them.
More than half an hour had passed but Yurian hadn’t returned. A junior hunter who went by alias Panda, came rushing toward her, his eyes were in a state of shock and he was breathless as if he had been running for a long time.
"White Falcon, something is wrong with Yurian, come quick," Aselia shook in horror at those words, because she knew what exactly was wrong with him.
She didn’t waste a microsecond and sprinted toward the corridor. Her subordinate lead the way and soon they reached the common room hunters shared to sit around and talk or play board games.
Yurian was on the floor and his body was spasming, his eyes had turned white and his breathing was erratic. Wasp was frantically trying to shake him awake while someone was yelling to call the doctor. A small crowd had formed around him.
"Move, give him space," Aselia ordered and they all stepped back except Wasp.
"Let him go, you are not supposed to shake him in this condition," Aselia grabbed Wasp’s arm and yanked her aside. Moving forward, she took him in her arms and rolled him onto his side while gently placing his head in her lap.
"Yuri, I am here," she whispered to him in a calm tone. His fits lessened but he started screaming incoherently.
"Everyone, get out and send Doctor Tomias," Aselia shouted at them and they began to scamper away. Wasp stood there watching him in shock.
"You too, out," Aselia yelled at her.
Wasp opened her mouth to say something but Aselia’s glare had her shut it again and she walked out of the room, leaving them alone. His screams were gut-wrenching as if he was being tortured over and over again.
"Shhh, I am here. No one is going to hurt you, everything will be fine," she kept repeating it trying to calm him down. His fits finally stopped and his eyes returned to normal, his screams were subsiding but he kept repeating.
"My sister, they killed my sister. Please don’t hurt her, please don’t hurt Rasia," and Aselia kept stroking his head and back. Then he turned toward Aselia and slurred:
"Rasia, you are alive," his hand rested on Aselia’s face and a smile spread on his lips.
"Yes, I am little brother. I am here and you are safe," she held onto him and plastered a smile on her face. He had been pushed to his limit and finally cracked.
The door opened and the doctor rushed inside along with his two male nurses. The doctor knew his condition. Aselia didn’t have to explain as he gave him the sedative for he wouldn’t let go of Aselia. He was stuck in the past, in the time loop when the tragedy befell his family ten years ago.
His parents had gone to the market that day to fetch groceries. He and his sister who was 20 years old at that time were home. Her name was Rasia. Yurian was extremely close to his sister. She had beautiful yellow hair and sea-green eyes.
"Rawias, let’s bake a cake for mom and dad today," his sister called him for this was his real name before he became a hunter and took the alias of Yurian.
"I want to play my video game, can’t you do it alone, please," he pleaded with twinkling eyes and his sister’s heart melted.
"Hehe, ok. But you will wash the dishes tonight, deal," she chuckled at him flipping back her yellow hair and trying them up in a ponytail.
"Deal, I love you sister," he blew her a kiss and began to play his game again.
Rasia began to prepare the batter for the cake when the front door was kicked down from its hinges and four rogue vampires came rushing in.
Three of them went for Rasia while the fourth caught Rawias. Rasia shrieked at the sudden invasion into their house.
She saw the vampires and tried to shift into her hound form but the fourth one had caught Rawias and threatened to snap his neck if she tried to shift.
"Let go of me and my sister and get out of our house," Young Yurian who was only 13 years old at that time, yelled at them. His sister shook her head at him to be quiet.
"Stay calm Rawias, it will be alright," she whispered to him. While they merely laughed at him, he was still learning to shift so he wasn’t strong enough to fight four adult vampires.
They made him watch as the gang rap*ed his sister and drank her blood. Her screams echoed inside and outside their home and mingled with his cries.
"Nooooo, leave her alone," he yelled at them until his voice was hoarse.
He shifted and tried attacking them but he was too young and not strong enough. They killed his sister and almost beat him to death.
Leaving him in a beaten and battered state they escaped.
