Chapter 293: Purchasing The Perfect Bike

Aselia was overly excited. She had decided to buy a bike and Jaguar was about to assist her.

"Are you ready?" he asked handing her the helmet.

"I am, let’s do it," she propped the helmet on her head and climbed on his bike. In the past month, she had become more comfortable with him and didn’t hesitate to travel on his bike.

Jaguar started the bike and both headed off to a Bike Showroom to buy one for her. They needed to visit a different city for it so Yurian instructed her to mask her scent and not take off her helmet there.

The weather was gradually changing and the spring season was setting in. The grass was returning to its original shade of green while flowers were ready to share their colours and fragrance with the world again.

Soon they arrived at their destination. While Jaguar took off his helmet, Aselia kept it on so her face and hair remained hidden and only her eyes could be seen.

They entered the showroom which was huge with miscellaneous bikes on display. Aselia was in awe, seeing so many different varieties of bikes. The manager of the showroom approached and received them with a smile:

"Welcome to the showroom. Which kind of bike would you be interested in?"

"We would like to check out Street Strider 95 and Silver Arrow X. And any other latest designs with smooth engine designs and comfortable riding seat," Jaguar informed him.

"And speed, the motorbike should have a maximum speed," Aselia chimed in while observing a black and red heavy bike which shone under the bright lights.

"Of course, this way please," Manager placed his hand on his chest and slightly bowed before leading them to another section of heavy bikes and began to show them the latest designs which had been launched.

"I would like to try that one," Aselia pointed to an all-silver heavy bike.

"That’s Silver Arrow X, its engine is so smooth it purrs like a cat and its speed is phenomenal. Would you like to take it out for a spin," Manager asked and Aselia nodded her head.

Jaguar keenly observed the bike and its specifications. He knew this would be a perfect bike for her if she chose it.

Aselia approached the bike and mounted it. The manager brought the key and handed it to Aselia. She started it and took it out for a test drive. The Manager and Jaguar followed her outside as she started the bike and rode along the track created for this very purpose.

Jaguar observed she had great control over the vehicle but needed work on bends. She had told him earlier that she hadn’t ridden a bike in a long time so wasn’t that deft at riding them.

She brought it back after five minutes and seemed impressed. "Not bad but I would like to test a few other bikes before coming to a final decision," she dismounted it.

"Sure ma’am," Manager took them inside and showed them a few other options as well. She tested them all and discussed them with Jaguar.

"I think the first one is the most suitable for your taste and has a great range of features," Jaguar enunciated, seeing her stop near him with her fifth bike.

"I agree, none of these has the smoothness of Silver Arrow. I think I will take it," she spoke with finality. Her eyes showed her excitement to purchase her own bike as she had left her car behind.

"Let’s do it," both of them headed inside and the deal was finalised. Jaguar tried to purchase the bike for her but she sternly refused and made the payment herself.

After purchasing the bike Jaguar asked: "Would you like to race back to the base?"

"No, I need to get the proper hang of it first. Only then I will race. You are a pro in this regard and although I know how to ride a bike. I haven’t done it for years," he smirked at her answer. His coal eyes shone with excitement.

"So you are afraid to lose?"

She raised her eyebrows at him and asserted:

"I don’t think there is anything I am afraid of Mr Jaguar. But seems like you want to win unfairly."

"Never, I am just teasing you. Let me give you a few tips," Jaguar began to give her tutorial sessions all the way back.

She listened intently and absorbed everything like a sponge because Aselia had never seen a more adept biker than Jaguar. Understanding that it will not be an easy task to defeat him. But she was competitive and losing was never an option for her.

She was excited to show her new bike to her fellow hunters. Once they returned, everyone gathered around the bike to check it out.

"This is dope."

"She is a beauty."

"I want to buy a bike as well, now," all of them were jubilant and excited. A few wanted to check it out and Aselia gladly permitted them to test-run it.

"It seems like a bike made for you," Yurian added as he stroked its polished exterior and this swelled Aselia’s heart.

"Come, I will take you out for a spin," Aselia offered and Yurian knowing how fast she loved to drive sheepishly refused. This made everyone laugh and Aselia to pout.

"Have more faith in your partner," Aselia chided him.

"I do, but I am not a fan of speeding. It doesn’t thrill me as it does to you or Jaguar. I value my life too much," he raised his hands in defence and Aselia could merely shake her head at him.

Over the next month, Aselia practised riding the bike. The date had been set for their race and she was feeling the pressure as the assigned date was approaching. She knew one thing for sure, either she would win or she would have to go on a date which she hadn’t done in a long time.
