Elven Encounter With A Blood Seeker
Chapter 295: He is not a Human
Jaguar pounced on the vampire and transformed into a massive jaguar in mid-air. Vampire was taken aback by surprise and took a fraction of a second late to leave his spot.
Jaguar’s sharp claw came crashing down on his side and half of his face was destroyed as his shrill scream echoed in the mountainous area. Still, the vampire was able to evade the full-on attack and using his vampiric speed, shifted from his position.
Jaguar was fast and his keen eyes followed the vampire, he chased him as a bloody battle followed when both of them clashed. The vampire snarled while Jaguar growled at him, standing protectively in front of injured Aselia.
She blinked several times, forgetting the pain radiating from her leg and arm. She had doubts that he was not a human but she hadn’t anticipated that he was a Werejaguar. He was huge, in this form as well and she had never seen such a massive one.
The vampire attacked Jaguar, while the former sunk his teeth in Jaguar’s neck, the latter clawed at the enemy’s chest. Vampire twisted Jaguar’s hind leg, making him squeal in pain.
Jaguar knew he had to end this battle as soon as possible, prolonging it will only tire him down because vampires had limitless energy.
"Jaguar," Aselia’s feeble voice reached him and he turned around to see her holding the power-subduing serum. Being such a professional hunter, she always remained prepared for emergencies.
She tossed it toward him and he grabbed it in his jaw, midair.
The vampire tried to snatch it away but Jaguar plunged the pointed end of the vial into his neck. The vampire squirmed and staggered back a few steps. But Jaguar didn’t waste a second and pounced on him before clawing his heart out, leaving him bloody and lifeless.
The light extinguished from his eyes and he stumbled to the ground. Jaguar watched him for a second and then slowly approached Aselia, who was trying to get up. He nudged his snout closer to her abdomen as if telling her to climb onto him.
Even though she was injured she couldn’t help but gush over how magnificent his transformed self was. His fur and whole body were black with golden rings on them and glistened under the daylight. Jaguar’s pitch-black eyes had a golden outline, which reminded her of onyx stones with gold. They warmly watched her and she couldn’t help but pat his head with her good arm and whisper:
"Thank you," and he shook his big head at her and touched her face with his snout she couldn’t help but seek his warmth and he gladly provided.
Jaguar helped her climb onto him, this was the easiest and fastest way he could take her to safety. Realising she was in pain.
As soon as she was securely tucked on top of him and held on with her uninjured arm and leg he began to sprint toward the waterfall. Pang after pang of pain radiated through Aselia’s body but she held onto him tightly.
They reached the others soon and they were shocked to see a massive Jaguar carrying Aselia, some of them even drew weapons, ready to attack.
"Yuri, don’t attack," Aselia called out and Yurian raised his hand to make them halt and rushed forward with a confused look.
Jaguar stopped and lowered himself and Yurian collected Aselia in his arm, his eyes wide in shock as he asked:
"What happened? And who is this?"
"I fell from the bike and injured myself and we were attacked by a vampire. And this is Jaguar," Aselia explained and everyone stared at him as he stood there and shook his lean body, seeming magnificent.
"I see, we will deal with everything else later. I need to take you to the hospital before we attract more creatures," he then turned his attention to his fellow hunters and instructed:
"Scan the area, make sure no one is lurking around," with that he shifted Aselia to his car. Tearing a piece of his shirt, Yurian bound her wounded leg to stop the flow of blood. Jaguar intently watched them. Her smell still lingered in his senses.
Yurian then started the car and quickly drove away with her, hoping to take her to a hospital. He was clutching the steering wheel tightly and his lips formed a thin line. He couldn’t comprehend how a vampire found her so quickly. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"So Jaguar is a WereJaguar, I had my doubts but seeing him was a bit shocking," Yurian confided in her as she clutched her arm.
"I was a bit taken aback when he transformed but he saved my life. That vampire he killed was no ordinary vampire and I don’t know how he appeared out of nowhere."
"He must be living under the radar and when you injured yourself, the scent of your blood brought him there. Partner, you need to be more careful," Yurian’s whole body still appeared stiff.
"Yes, I was reckless and paid the price for it," Aselia was still thinking about Jaguar. Just like Yurian, he didn’t hesitate in the slightest to save her life. He was a true hunter through and through.
Soon they reached the hospital, and Aselia was taken inside to be treated. The on-duty doctor asked Yurian to stay outside while they inspected her wounds. Yurian called his parents and informed them of Aselia’s accident.
Luckily her arm had only dislocated from the joint and not broken while the leg wound was also not too deep. They repositioned her arm and bandaged her wounded leg. She was also given an injection and antibiotic to avoid infections.
The doctor instructed that she be kept under observation overnight and to get rest for at least a few days. Once she was stable, Yurian was allowed to visit her.
"How are you feeling?" he inquired while sitting down close to her.
"Not bad, I am just glad my arm didn’t break or I would have been out of action for so many days," she smiled with satisfaction.
"True. You hungry?"
"Always," and they both chuckled at her answer. Yurian got up to bring some food for her as he opened the door Jaguar stood there back in his human form, looking grim.
